My heart booms deep within, I wheeze slow as my eyes open wide. I violently twitch and tense up as my heart explodes a burst energy. I wheeze uncontrollably and grasp the rebar with all my might. My heart booms and my chest flexes, I push myself off slowly as I wheeze loud at the pain. I lean back and weak coughs escape me. I twist and push the rocks off my legs and pull them out one at a time. They feel fine, but my breathing- Moonlight drips through the cracks. I slowly crawl out and close my eyes under the moon barely hidden by the dust and smoke.

I gasp awake, the sun beats down on me. I wince, my lungs ache whenever I breathe in. I slowly get up and look around, buildings reduced to rubble. At least my breathing’s okay, but that pain, something stabbing the inside of my chest.
What felt like hours of my slow stumble, I come across where the blockade was. Seems almost everyone moved on through, but a few Red Cross tents had been set up. I shout, “Anyone here?!” People flood out the tents and fix their guns on me, “We’re just taking these supplies!” “Diesel?!” My heart aches and I grab at the pain, “Help!” I collapse.
