"Did I do the right thing?" I sigh-
*New particles have been discovered. They exist in everything we know of. The galaxy's scientists are trying to figure out what this means for humanity's future.*
"Hey DH! Turn off that damn radio and join in!" I smile, flip it off and head toward the field. It's thanksgiving, 1964. My girlfriend, Sunny throws me the football and puts her hands on her hips, "What did your radio overlords say?"
I bend down with my family and grin at Sunny, "It said I was gonna kick half my family's ass at football today." I throw it between my legs to my youngest sister, "Go on Suzie, run to the finish line!" I bash into my father and he falls to the ground. He puts his thumbs up as I keep running to cover Suzie.
My brother bounces off from my charge, but he grabs onto my foot on his way down. On the ground, I watch Suzie almost make it. My younger brother pokes her. "Damn. Only a twenty yard gain?" My hairs stick up and I get off the ground. My father yells, "Hey we should head home!"
My father runs over to me as he rubs his upper back, "You feel it too?" I shake my head, "The forecast said it'd be sunny." The air raid sirens start blaring and my dad doesn't hesitate to scoop up Suzie.
"Everyone, go to the cellar, Now!" Sunny starts running as I grab my radio. When I catch up to her, she looks over, "How'd that just appear?!" "I dunno!" We all run over to the cellar to see my dad flagging us down. "Get in! Hurry!" We run down and my father shuts us in as I turn on the radio, *-udden storms are ap-r-g everywhere, s-y ind-rs!* Rain suddenly starts lashing against the house.

The storm still holds strong for hours as we hear lightning strike down every few seconds. My dad scratches his head as he opens up the cellar doors. Sunny lets go of my arm, I follow him and grab his shoulder. "Something is very wrong, son." We see lightning strike in the distance,
I point to it as a chill goes down my spine, "Those hit in the same spot! Lightning doesn't do that!" Suddenly, the lightning starts to strike in a line towards the house, as if it knew we were hiding. "Close the doors dad!" "What? Wh-" I quickly close the doors and we hear a loud crash upstairs, followed by the floor above catching fire.
We march down the stairs and I go for the fire extinguisher, but my older brother smirks and rips it off the wall. Before he sprays at the fallen rubble, Suzie runs up the stairs, "My inhaler!" The whole family yells as she runs up the steps.
I rush after her and my mother yells, "Dallon, don't!" I run up to her room, she's trapped behind wild flames. I leap over the flames and grab her. "I got you!"
Part of the wall tears away by the wind's pounding. Outside, tornadoes catch fire, rocks, lightning within their barriers. A sharp pain goes throughout my body while the house creaks, bends and breaks. The ground begins to quake, metal debris spins on their own. "What the fuck is this stor-!?" Looking at my hands, they turn black as lightning strikes next to me.
The ringing in my ears doesn't stop until one of the tornados reel in close to our home. The floor around us gives and we drop into the basement. Our family shouts over the storm, before closing our eyes.
