Day 4,674
We arrived back in Tumrok an hour before sunset.
The wyvern has not returned, and I doubted if we will ever encounter it in these parts. Wyvern rarely go back to former nests, especially one where they had lost their eggs. And while we were slightly disappointed that we had not completed the mission, we were still satisfied by the compensation we got from the Hunter’s Guild.
After receiving our payment, we held a meeting in a private room we have rented and began to discuss what to do with the eggs. Many wanted to sell both of them, excited at the prospect of more coins. But when I presented my proposal, they became interested. After all, if we managed to tame a wyvern and breed it, our income would grow exponentially.

When all of us finally agreed to that idea, we debated next on which egg to sell. A wyvern’s breed is determined by the color of its parents, which would match the colorization of the eggs. The one we drove away yesterday was mottled green, and so was the first egg. But the second one was grey and blue, suggesting a different species for the father.
Green was common, so we chose to keep the blue one. Selling the green egg has gotten us enough money to buy a small hatchery for our monsters, and our satisfaction was immeasurable. It is large enough for a young wyvern, but we know it will not be long before we move to a bigger hatchery.
For now, we are content with this. And we are all anticipating that day when our monsters would start giving us coins.
