Day 4,673
We have only driven off the wyvern.
It proved to be a difficult opponent, and some of us nearly died. The traps we laid were useless; the wyvern destroyed them easily with its tail and wings. We fought it for hours, slowly weakening it despite its ferocity. We knew it had already learned of its missing eggs, and we were careful not to let it see them lest its rage grew stronger.
It must have been mid-morning when it flew away at last, bleeding from the injuries we had inflicted. We tried to pursue the wyvern, but it disappeared in the distance, and we were already exhausted from the fight.

We set up camp in a valley by noon. After a light meal and a brief rest, we considered our options. It might take too long if we search for our target; by now, it has probably left the area. And we were running low on supplies.
Thankfully, we managed to break a few scales and cut off the tip of its tail, so we have enough evidence to prove that we have indeed encountered and drove it away. In the end, we prepared to stay for another day in order to get more rest. And if by some chance, kill the wyvern if it returns.
If not, then we will head back home tomorrow.
