Day 4,640
Tumrok is a fascinating city.
Eight of us entered its southern gate in the morning, shrouded in travel-worn cloaks with hunched shoulders and bowed heads, hoping that we could pass off as merchants. Fortunately, we have a few monster hides we procured during our journey, so it was easy getting past security.
Thuronians are not too different from the rest of the world, if a little carefree and easy-going. It is hard to imagine that they are warmongering people with their pleasant smiles and cheerful demeanor. However, I know that looks can be deceiving, especially to an empire who uses monsters in its daily lives.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Monsters… they walk the streets as if they are part of the society itself. Most are under handlers and owners, but they are quite a few stray ones lurking in every street like common dogs and cats. All throughout our search, our hand remained on the hilt of our weapons.
After selling the hides for a good sum of Thuronian coins, we booked a single room in an inn for the night. There we plan our next course of action. Tumrok is vast, and it will take us time to find what we need. Not to mention, the suspicion that will arise once we start asking questions.
We must be wary.
