Day 4,644
While the others explore the city, Eina and I visit the city’s library where we can read more of Thuron’s history. We both love learning about the past, and this is the first time we will be doing it together as lovers. Fortunately, the head of our research team, Darnos, has been teaching us to read Thuronian alphabets.
The library itself is as large as a keep, and we were nearly overwhelmed by its vastness and splendor. There were rooms filled entirely with books—records of all the events that the kingdom has witnessed in its long existence. There were also various encyclopedias of every topic, especially on the subject of monsters.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
I shudder to think what the capital’s library looks like, and what it contains. This one is already a treasure trove of knowledge; proof of the Thuronian’s intelligence. Is this also the reason why they have lasted this long? I’m not sure, but perhaps their history possesses the answer.
Eina and I chose different subjects: I picked several books about the foundation of this kingdom while she has chosen to learn about the ancient kings and queens.
Much of what it contains, we already know from the journals we have. But there is one piece of information that has intrigued us. Irelda never bore a child, and Adelor is descended from Irelda’s sister, Adeli. What this entails, I do not know. But it is a clue to why this kingdom has decided to seek vengeance on our empire once more.
