Day 4,672
"Quite large" turned out to be an understatement.
The wyvern was huge—easily a hundred feet long with mottled green scales and claws the size of a man. I have seen wyverns before, and even slew a few, but this was the first time I and my team has encountered one this large.
Our marksman, Gedrin, spotted it as we were traversing the third mountain. It was flying high in the sky, well out of reach, so we continued tracking it while searching for its nest. The creature must be hunting; wyverns, unlike dragons, are nocturnals. It disappeared from our sight more than once, but we were not worried. The wyvern went down the mountains, probably to look for food.

Since the moonlight guided our way, we had no problems finding our path. However, some of the routes were treacherous, so we had to be careful.
It was an hour before sunrise when we discovered old wyvern tracks, and we followed the trail until we reached a cave at the sixth mountain. Upon entering, we were beset with the disgusting scent of wyvern dungs and old kills, and we saw two eggs.
We discussed what to do next. Destroying the nest seemed logical, but we soon realized that in Thuron, wyvern eggs would be profitable. Thus, we decided to take the eggs back to Ranaul and the others, hoping to get their opinion on the matter.
Since it is quite too late to set up traps for our main target, we descended the mountain and made camp at the base. We know that the wyvern will swiftly notice the absence of its eggs, and so we began to prepare for its inevitable search.
My instincts tell me that it will be a very long day for all of us.
