Skosh (noun): a small amount

Picnic basket. Lovely sun. A few daisies waving in the wind.

The little field had a simplistic enchant to it.

She laid down on the purple-plaid blanket, spread over the soft grass. For several seconds, her body felt as weightless as the fluttering clouds in the clear blue sky. She heard the soft crinkles of grass underneath her. She tasted a faint sweetness of strawberry jam in the air. Several yards away, there was the chirp of a bird.

This was the stillest her body’s ever been, but she felt more alive than ever.

There wasn’t much around her.

The field was comfortable but small. The green grass was probably going to be trampled over a few days later. Pretty soon, the winter will send the daisies and birds away as well.

No matter.

Inhaling, exhaling, she tried her best to remember this moment.

Despite the softness of her surroundings, she could clearly recognize the intensity of living life.
