Metanoia (noun): journey of changing mind, self, heart, and life
Feeling rather proud of itself, the little green bird cheerfully snacked on a seed it found. It had visited so many lives this week already!
Humans were such interesting creatures. The cycles of nature were always absolute, never faltering, yet these two-legged beings seemed to constantly “feel” something different in every moment of their lives.
“Emotions.”

The little bird could not quite understand the term.
It knew that it was a natural instinct in reaction to life events. Enjoying coffee, painting a picture, finding old photos… “Emotions” could be felt by humans anywhere at any time. However, the bird was the watcher, the onlooker, the narrator. The bird wasn’t a part of the story, so did these emotions even matter?
The little green bird thoughtfully groomed the new puff of feathers that had sprouted on its cheek.
Hmm, maybe “emotions” really did matter. If they were useless, nature wouldn’t have given that ability to the humans, right?
Taking off into the skies once again, the little bird wondered if it would also feel an “emotion” one day.
