Crayer

Crayer (noun): a former small sailing cargo boat

Waves rippling, winds seething, rain whipping, the ocean tossed the little cargo boat with unsettling carelessness as it traversed painfully across wrathful waters.

Through the storm, the outlines of two lonely figures could be made out from the sobbing clouds and obsidian sky. They were drenched, visibly shaking from clinging onto the boat’s sides, yet they looked forward with the determination of a commander giving his final orders to his loyal army.

A sudden cave of seawater swelled, monstrous and staggering. It opened its mouth of a demonic being transcended straight out of the dark underworld and swallowed the small boat whole.

And they reappeared, bursting out of the smothering gray water.

Still staring fiercely ahead, their eyes were trained on their ultimate destination: the enormous warship threatening their shores.

Almost as if rising with the rage of the storm, a celestial shower of blazing bullets began to rain, slivers of fiery red streaking across the thunderous atmosphere. Muffled pings of ricochet could be heard over the crashing waves, battering the poor boat in endless fury.

Still, they went on.
