Secret Special Training Facilities, United Terran, 1 November 2140, 09:00 am
In the secret special training facilities of United Terran International Special Forces (UT ISF), Maximus and 100 elite legions of the Fortisregnum Empire are training under the drill instructor for new modern types of equipment for the Fortisregnum Empire. Colonel Robert Lee Ermey, the descendant of famous sergeant drill instructor Richard Lee Ermey, became the drill instructor for Maximus and his elite legions. He is a UT International Special Forces drill instructor from the Marine UT branch.
"Good morning, ladies of Fortisregnum Empire. My name is Colonel Robert Lee Ermey, and I will be your drill instructor during your special training. Based on the information of a high-ranking officer, all of you are the best of the best legions in the Fortisregnum Empire. Is it true?" Colonel Ermey asked the legions
"Sir, yes, sir." Maximus and all elite legions respond.
"I heard some of you could fight with lions, tigers and bears only with shield and sword in the Colosseum arena. Is it true?" Colonel Ermey asked again.
"Sir, yes, sir." Maximus and all elite legions respond.
"Yes, all of you are strong. I approve of that. However, in front of modern weapons, your power is nothing. Today, until your training is finished, I will drill all of you to become the best special force, equivalent to our ISF. You, come here and fight me here. Use everything you have got to defeat me. However, you can not use magic to boost your body and strength; only pure skill is allowed." Colonel Ermey orders Maximus to fight him.
"Sir, yes, Sir. I will do my best, sir". Maximus is the leader of the Fortisregnum Empire legions. He is intelligent and robust among the legions.
As the drill instructor, Colonel Ermey is a master of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP), a master of Krav Maga, boxing, and Brazillian Jiu-jitsu. Even though Maximus's body is more robust than Colonel Ermey's, he knows how to defeat Maximus with his best technique.
As Maximus stepped forward to face Colonel Ermey in hand-to-hand combat, he knew he faced a formidable opponent. Despite his own physical strength and martial prowess, he recognized Colonel Ermey's skill and experience.
Maximus lunged forward With a focused expression, aiming to overwhelm Colonel Ermey with sheer force. His movements were swift and calculated, and his muscles tensed with determination. However, Colonel Ermey effortlessly sidestepped Maximus's initial attack, his movements smooth and controlled.
Colonel Ermey countered Maximus's assault with lightning speed, seamlessly transitioning between martial arts techniques. He utilized the principles of MCMAP to deflect Maximus's strikes, drawing upon his mastery of Krav Maga to exploit openings in Maximus's defense.
Maximus fought with all his might, but Colonel Ermey's skill and precision proved too much to overcome. Colonel Ermey swiftly gained the upper hand with a swift combination of strikes and grappling maneuvers, effortlessly neutralizing Maximus's attacks.
Despite Maximus's best efforts, the seasoned drill instructor outmaneuvered and outmatched him. Colonel Ermey swiftly subdued Maximus with a final decisive move, pinning him to the ground with controlled force.
Gasping for breath, Maximus looked up at Colonel Ermey in awe and admiration, realizing the extent of his opponent's skill and expertise. Though defeated, Maximus knew he had learned a valuable lesson in humility and the importance of continuous training and self-improvement.
"Good Job, muscle boy. You are strong, but your power is insufficient to defeat normal UT ISF. Look, I am an old drill instructor; on the other hand, you are a young and robust legion, but I can still defeat you in hand-to-hand combat. Okay, lad, all of you come to at once. Come and defeat me, muscle head." Colonel Ermey points to ten people of legions to fight him again. Tens vs one, a disadvantageous battle for Colonel Ermey
"Are you sure about that, sir?" The ten members of the legion asked about Colonel Ermey's disadvantaged condition.
"Come on, muscle head. Do not underestimate this old man. Come, try to defeat me." Colonel Ermey provoked the legions.
"Sir, yes, Sir. 'piece of cake, we will defeat you, old man.'" The ten legions came forward and thought they could defeat Colonel Ermey.
With a confident smirk, Colonel Ermey welcomed the challenge of facing ten of the Fortisregnum Empire's elite legions simultaneously. Despite the numerical disadvantage, he remained composed and focused, knowing that his training and expertise would give him the edge in the upcoming confrontation.
Colonel Ermey braced himself for the onslaught as the ten legions advanced towards him. He assessed their positions and anticipated their movements with a glance, preparing to react with precision and efficiency.
The legionnaires launched their attack, their movements coordinated and aggressive. They lunged forward with a barrage of strikes and kicks, aiming to overwhelm Colonel Ermey with sheer force and numbers.
However, Colonel Ermey remained unfazed by the flurry of attacks. He deftly dodged and parried their blows with lightning-fast reflexes, slipping past their defenses with calculated ease.
Utilizing his mastery of MCMAP and other martial arts disciplines, Colonel Ermey swiftly countered each legionnaire's assault, exploiting openings in their defense and delivering precise strikes and joint locks.
Despite their best efforts, the legions could not land a single blow on Colonel Ermey. With each passing moment, their frustration grew as the seasoned drill instructor effortlessly repelled their attacks.
Colonel Ermey incapacitated the ten legions one by one with a swift and decisive series of maneuvers, swiftly and efficiently neutralizing their attacks with a combination of strikes, throws, and submission holds.
Gasping for breath and nursing their bruised egos, the defeated legions looked up at Colonel Ermey in disbelief, their admiration for his skill and prowess evident in their eyes.
"Lesson learned, muscle heads," Colonel Ermey said, his tone firm but with a hint of satisfaction. "Never underestimate your opponent, no matter how old or outnumbered they may be."
As the training session concluded, Colonel Ermey's victory was a powerful reminder to the legions of the importance of humility, discipline, and respect for their adversaries. Under his guidance, they would continue striving for excellence, knowing they had much to learn from their esteemed drill instructor.
"Okay, I would like to test your close-quarter combat. Musclehead 01, Now unsheathe your gladius. We will fight with a melee weapon." Colonel Ermey orders Maximus to unsheath his gladius while he is ready with his combat knife.
As Maximus unsheathed his gladius, a gleam of determination flickered in his eyes. He tightened his grip on his proud weapon, ready to unleash its deadly potential against Colonel Ermey and his combat knife. With a swift motion, Maximus lunged forward, his movements fueled by youthful vigor and strength.
Colonel Ermey remained composed and focused despite facing a younger and physically formidable opponent. As Maximus charged, Colonel Ermey calmly assessed the situation, relying on his years of training and combat experience.
Maximus's strikes came fast and fierce, but Colonel Ermey deftly parried each blow with his combat knife, utilizing the techniques of MCMAP to control the engagement. Colonel Ermey maneuvered around Maximus's attacks with precise timing and fluid movements, calculatingly closing the distance between them.
Maximus pushed forward relentlessly as the clash of steel echoed through the air, his gladius flashing in the dim light. Yet, with each exchange, Colonel Ermey's mastery of close-quarter combat became increasingly apparent.
Drawing upon his expertise in Krav Maga, boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Colonel Ermey seamlessly integrated various techniques into his fighting style. He efficiently exploited Maximus's openings, delivering swift and decisive counterattacks that kept Maximus off balance.
Despite Maximus's initial dominance, Colonel Ermey's superior skill and adaptability began to turn the tide of the battle. With a series of rapid strikes and expertly executed maneuvers, Colonel Ermey gradually gained the upper hand, steadily wearing down Maximus's defenses.
Colonel Ermey seized a crucial opening as the intense struggle climaxed, disarming Maximus with a lightning-fast maneuver. With a swift and decisive motion, he delivered a final, incapacitating blow, bringing the intense duel to an abrupt end.
Gasping for breath and staring up at Colonel Ermey in astonishment, Maximus realized the true extent of his opponent's mastery. Despite his youth and physical prowess, he had been outmatched by the seasoned drill instructor's unparalleled skill and experience in close-quarter combat.
Maximus acknowledged Colonel Ermey's victory with a sense of humility and respect, recognizing the invaluable lessons learned from their intense and unforgettable clash of arms.

"Okay, muscle head, I will introduce you to your future weapons. Hey Lieutenant Joker, you little shit, bring the weapons for our new ladies." Colonel Ermey orders Lieutenant Davis, nicknamed Joker, to bring the weapons for the legions.
"Sir, yes, sir. 'god damn, old man. You still order me in front of that native legions.' This is the first weapon for the new ladies, sir." Lieutenant Davis brought a box containing ten modernized STG 44.
"Thank you, Joker. Bring the rest of your weapons with your bastard platoons." Colonel Ermey orders Lieutenant Davis to bring the rest of the modernized weapons for the legions.
"Sir, yes, sir." Lieutenant Davis returned to the special weaponry storage to bring the rest of the weapons.
"Okay, muscle head, this is Sturmgewhr (STG) 44 with a modernized version. This baby has 7.62x51 mm NATO and can pierce your proud armor in short and mid-range. This baby has an effective range of 500-600 meters and more than 600 meters with an optics rail for modern sights. To be honest, I prefer to use the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), but the higher government chose the design based on German and Italian weapons. Maybe similar to your country, it is based on the Roman Empire so that it will be used as the weapon of Axis power. Go take a look at this baby." Colonel Ermey let the legions look and check the modernized STG 44.
"Look, this weapon is similar to Weltenkraft Reich's special forces. So, if we used this weapon, would our power be equivalent to the Weltenkraft Reich?" One of the legions said that STG 44 was similar to the weapons used by Weltenkraft Reich.
"Weltenkraft Reich? If that nation has weapons similar to STG 44 and used "Reich" in their nation, does it equivalent to Nazi Germany or Third Reich? Damn, there is nazi in this world? Prepared for carpet bombing and nuking one of their city if they want to declare war on us, huh?" Colonel Ermey was shocked that there was a nation similar to Nazi Germany.
"Oke, you dickhead, bring your fucking proud shield, and we will test this baby to penetrate that fucking shield. Before you, muscle heads are used for this baby." Colonel Ermey orders Maximus to put the shield like Roman Scutum at target range.
With a stern expression, Colonel Ermey demonstrated each process step with meticulous precision, his voice commanding and authoritative.
"Now pay attention, muscle heads," he barked, gesturing towards the modernized STG 44 rifle. "This is your weapon, your lifeline. You need to know it inside and out, like the back of your hand." Colonel Ermey explains.
With practiced expertise, Colonel Ermey inspected every inch of the rifle, ensuring it was in prime condition for the upcoming test. He checked the magazine, the barrel, and the trigger mechanism, leaving no detail unchecked.
"Remember, cleanliness is godliness, muscle heads," he growled, his gaze piercing. "A dirty weapon is a dead weight. Keep it clean, keep it sharp."
Colonel Ermey's movements were fluid and precise as he demonstrated how to load the magazine with cartridges. He showed Maximus and his legions the proper technique, emphasizing the importance of efficiency and accuracy.
"Thirty rounds, muscle heads," he commanded, his tone unwavering. "That is all you get. Make every shot count." Colonel Ermeys orders.
Once the magazine was fully loaded, Colonel Ermey demonstrated how to insert it into the rifle, his actions swift and sure. The magazine locked into place with a decisive click, ready for action.
"Now, muscle heads, pay close attention," Colonel Ermey said, his voice low and commanding. "This is where the real work begins."
With deliberate motions, he showed Maximus and his legions how to chamber a round, release the safety, and take aim with precision and focus.
"Now, muscle heads," he said, his voice ringing with authority. "Fire at will."
As Maximus and his legions aimed at the Roman Scutum shield, Colonel Ermey watched with a critical eye, his gaze unwavering. With a steady hand and a focused mind, he pulled the trigger, unleashing a barrage of gunfire that echoed across the target range. Unknown to him, Maximus and his legions secretly used special magic: Enhance Memory to improve the understanding process of the brain. Thanks to Enhanced Memory magic, Maximus and his elite legions can understand and memorize more than ordinary people.
They also better understand and memorize the process than normal UT ISF. They used an enchanted spell: "Oh Goddess Minerva, give me your knowledge of the world to understand all its secrets and mysteries." After they enchanted the spell, their head would glow, but only people who could use magic would see the glowing. Suddenly, they could memorize and understand better information. In the future, UT researchers will research and study this magic phenomenon and integrate it into science to improve the brain capability of UT people, especially for the UT military and intelligence agency.
As the dust settled and the smoke cleared, Colonel Ermey inspected the results with a critical eye. With a nod of approval, he turned to Maximus and his legions, a hint of pride in his eyes.
"Good work, muscle heads," he said, his voice gruff but with a touch of respect. "You are starting to shape up. However, remember, this is just the beginning. Before you are ready for the real fight, we have a long way to go." Colonel Ermey Explains.
Maximus and his legions eagerly stepped forward with Colonel Ermey's guidance to test their newly acquired skills with the modernized STG 44 rifles. Each legionnaire approached the weapon with a sense of determination and focus, their eyes fixed on the target ahead. They apply enhanced memory magic again to memorize the checking, loading, and firing processes.
Maximus, as the leader of the legions, took the lead, his posture confident and his grip firm on the rifle. With a sense of purpose, he followed Colonel Ermey's instructions to the letter, checking every part of the rifle with meticulous care before loading the magazine with cartridges.
As he inserted the magazine into the rifle, Maximus felt a surge of adrenaline course through his veins. This was no longer just a training exercise; it was a test of his abilities, a demonstration of his readiness to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Maximus chambered a round with a steady hand, his movements deliberate and precise. He released the safety with a flick of his thumb, his focus unwavering as he aimed at the Fortisregnum Empire's proud shield looming in the distance.
Beside him, his fellow legionnaires mirrored his actions. Their movements synchronized as they prepared to unleash a barrage of gunfire upon the target. Before firing the rifle, secretly, they used new magic to improve their accuracy, precision, strength, and power. They used enhanced magic to improve their accuracy and precision of shoot. They used an enhanced spell: "Oh God, Mars, give me your power and strength to destroy your enemy." After their enchanted spell, their eyes, hands, and legs glow. Their sight, hand grip, and muscle power are improved.
With each pull of the trigger, the air was filled with the sharp crack of gunfire, the sound reverberating across the target range. As the dust settled and the echoes faded, Maximus and his legions surveyed the results of their efforts. The Fortisregnum Empire's proud shield, once an imposing barrier, now bore the scars of their collective firepower, riddled with bullet holes from their precise shots.
"Oh my Gods, our proud shield is nothing before this weapon. 'Goodness, Our Emperor is wise enough to obey the United Terran and not against them. If we fight against this weapon, they could annihilate us.' This weapon is so strong, I hope we could use this as our standard weapon". Maximus was relieved that United Terran become their ally nation and the Emperor was not hostile against this hyperpower nation.
Maximus looked to Colonel Ermey with a sense of accomplishment and pride. "Sir," he said, his voice steady, "I believe we are ready for whatever challenges come our way."
Colonel Ermey nodded, his gruff demeanor hinting at approval. "Good work, muscle heads," he said, echoing across the target range. p;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;But remember, this is just the beginning. The real test lies ahead, and you must be prepared to face it with everything you have."
With renewed determination, Maximus and his legions returned to their training, ready to face whatever challenges awaited them as they continued their journey to become the finest soldiers in the Fortisregnum Empire. Under the guidance of Colonel Ermey, they would hone their skills, strengthen their resolve, and emerge victorious against any foe that dared to stand in their way.
"Okay, muscle heads. This baby will become your wife and beloved during this training. If a malfunction happens to this baby, you will get severe punishment. If one of you makes a mistake, all of you will face the same punishment. Understand, You little shit?" Colonel Ermey said.
"Excuse me, sir, if we make the gun malfunction or break. You.. you will execute us?". Maximus was shocked and asked the punishment if they broke the STG 44.
"You are really a dickhead, muscle head 01. Even though this baby is pricey, your life is more precious. We could produce dozens of these babies, but we cannot replace all of you. Also, you are the elite legions of our ally nations, and we can not execute you callously. However, if you try something funny. You will fall to hell training, I assure you, muscle heads." Colonel Ermey responds
"Sir, Yes, Sir. We will do our best to complete this training." Maximus and his legions are relieved that they will not be executed. However, they are still tense because of severe punishment if they break their equipment.
"Lieutenant Joker, Lieutenant Pyle, come here, you little shit. Lieutenant Joker, you and Lieutenant Pyle will train these muscle heads to use weapons. We did not have much time. Do what you can do so they can use the rifle properly. I will give you two days to train them. Understand?" Colonel Ermey orders Lieutenant Davis and Lieutenant Lawrence, aka Pyle.
"Sir, yes, Sir. We will drill them for two days." Lieutenant Davis and Lieutenant Lawrence respond.
Maximus and his legions trained with Lieutenant Davis and Lieutenant Lawrence for two days to properly check and use the modernized STG 44.

With two days of intensive training under the guidance of Lieutenants Joker and Pyle, Maximus and his legions stood before Colonel Ermey, ready to demonstrate their progress with the modernized STG 44 rifles. Each legionnaire held their weapon confidently, their movements fluid and practiced as they awaited Colonel Ermey's inspection.
"All right, muscle heads," Colonel Ermey barked, his gaze piercing as he surveyed the group before him. "Let us see if you have what it takes to handle this baby."
Maximus stepped forward, his posture strong and his expression determined. Thanks to enhanced memory magic, he could master and efficiently use the modern STG 44. He thoroughly inspected his rifle with a steady hand, checking every part with meticulous care just as Colonel Ermey had taught them.
Satisfied with his assessment, Maximus loaded the magazine with cartridges, and his movements were efficient and precise. He inserted the magazine into the rifle with a smooth motion, locking it into place with a satisfying click.
Maximus chambered a round with a nod from Colonel Ermey, releasing the safety with practiced ease. Aiming at the target before him, he squeezed the trigger, unleashing a controlled burst of gunfire that echoed across the training grounds.
Beside him, his fellow legionnaires followed suit, their actions synchronized as they demonstrated their proficiency with the STG 44 rifles. With each shot, they proved their dedication to their training, their determination shining through in every movement. They could shoot at the target precisely thanks to enhanced accuracy, precision, strength, and power magic.
As the last gunfire echoes faded, Colonel Ermey surveyed the results with a critical eye. Once again serving as their target, the Fortisregnum Proud shield bore the marks of their accuracy and precision, its surface peppered with bullet holes from their well-placed shots.
A hint of satisfaction crossed Colonel Ermey's features as he nodded in approval. "Not bad, muscle heads," he said, his voice gruff but with a touch of pride. "You have made some progress in these past two days. But remember, there's always room for improvement. Keep pushing yourselves and training hard; you might have what it takes to be real soldiers." Colonel Ermey appreciates the legionnaires.
With a sense of accomplishment, Maximus and his legions stood taller, their confidence bolstered by Colonel Ermey's praise. They knew the road ahead would be challenging, but with their newfound skills and determination, they were ready to face whatever obstacles lay in their path.
As they continued their training, they vowed to honor Colonel Ermey's teachings and prove themselves worthy of their trust as the Fortisregnum Empire's elite legions. Each day, they grew more assertive, disciplined, and prepared to defend their nation against any threat that dared to challenge them.
"You can improve your skills after training. For now, you already have the basic skills to utilize STG 44. Now, all of you will learn and train another baby, a semi-automatic rifle. All of you will train to use modernized Gewehr 43 for the rifle." Colonel Ermey introduced modernized Gewehr 43.
Colonel Ermey's introduction of the modernized Gewehr 43 intrigued Maximus and his legions, and they turned their attention to their new weapons with curiosity and determination. The Gewehr 43, in particular, caught their interest as Colonel Ermey explained its capabilities and specifications.
As Maximus and his legions gathered around Colonel Ermey, he began to explain the intricacies of the Gewehr 43 in detail. With his characteristic gruff demeanor, he emphasized the importance of understanding every aspect of the weapon, from its gas-operated semi-automatic mechanism to its effective range and capabilities on the battlefield.
"Like STG 44, these babies used 7,62 x 51 mm NATO, capable of annihilating infantry and piercing thin layers of metal armor. This baby is Gewehr 43, and you can use it as a sniper rifle with an effective range of 600 – 800 meters. Using a sniper scope, you could increase the range to 1000 km with a precise aim. Unlike STG 44, which is fully automatic, this baby uses a gas-operated semi-automatic rifle. The Gewehr 43 may not be as glamorous as the STG 44, muscle heads," Colonel Ermey said, his voice stern but with a hint of respect for the weapon.
"However, do not underestimate its power. This baby can pack a punch, and in the right hands, it is a deadly tool for taking out targets at long range. To be honest, I prefer M1 Garand to this baby. Now, all of you check is this baby." Colonel Ermey orders Maximus and the legions to inspect and check Gewehr 43.
"For targets at long ranges, we need to calculate the environmental conditions such as wind speed, rain, altitude, terrain, temperature, and air density. To simplify your training, all of you will use a modernized scope that automatically calculates target range, wind speed, temperature, and air density, thanks to an advanced sensor." Colonel Ermey explains the environmental factors for shooting.
Maximus and his legions carefully inspected the Gewehr 43 with Colonel Ermey's guidance, checking each part for any signs of damage or wear. They familiarized themselves with its operation, practicing loading and unloading the rifle with precision and efficiency.
As they trained with the Gewehr 43, Maximus and his legions quickly adapted to its semi-automatic action, learning to control their shots and maintain accuracy over long distances. Under Colonel Ermey's watchful eye, they honed their marksmanship skills, aiming for targets at various ranges to test the rifle's capabilities.
With each passing day, Maximus and his legions grew more proficient with the Gewehr 43, their confidence in their abilities bolstered by their mastery of the weapon. They learned to appreciate its reliability and versatility, understanding that it would be a valuable asset on the battlefield.
As they continued their training with the Gewehr 43, Maximus and his legions remained focused on their goal of utilizing modern weapons. With Colonel Ermey's guidance and their unwavering determination, they knew that they were well on their way to achieving their objectives and fulfilling their duty to defend their nation against any threat that may arise.
Secret Special Training Facilities, United Terran, 10 November 2140, 09:00 am
As Maximus and his legions progressed in their training with the Gewehr 43, Colonel Ermey decided it was time to push their marksmanship skills to the limit. He set up a target at a distance of 1000 meters, challenging them to demonstrate their ability to engage targets accurately at extreme range.
"All right, muscle heads," Colonel Ermey barked, his voice carrying across the training grounds. "This is where the real test begins. You have proven yourselves capable with this baby, but now it is time to see if you have what it takes to hit a target at 1000 meters." Colonel Ermey explains.
Maximus and his legions exchanged determined glances, their resolve unwavering as they prepared to face the challenge ahead. With Colonel Ermey's guidance, they adjusted their sights and calculated their adjustments for windage and elevation, ensuring that every shot would count.
Maximus shouldered his Gewehr 43 with a deep breath, and his eye focused through the scope as he lined up his shot. Before shooting the bullet, they enchanted the enhanced magic to improve their accuracy and precision. The target, a small bullseye painted on a distant hillside, seemed impossibly far away, but he remained steadfast in his determination to hit it.

Maximus squeezed the trigger with steady hands and unwavering concentration, sending a single round downrange with controlled precision. The shot echoed across the training grounds, the sound of impact barely audible at such a distance.
As the dust settled, Maximus and his legions held their breath, waiting anxiously for the results of their shot. With a sense of anticipation, they scanned the target through their scopes, searching for any sign of impact.
Suddenly, a cheer erupted from the group as they spotted a small hole in the center of the bullseye, evidence of Maximus's successful shot. A sense of pride washed over them as they realized the significance of their achievement - hitting a target at 1000 meters with the Gewehr 43 was no small feat, but they had accomplished it with skill and precision.
With smiles of satisfaction, Maximus and his legions turned to Colonel Ermey, their expressions filled with pride. "Sir," Maximus said, his voice steady, "we have proven that we have what it takes to handle this rifle. With your guidance, we will be unstoppable on the battlefield."
Colonel Ermey nodded, his gruff demeanor hinting at approval. "Well done, muscle heads," he said, echoing across the training grounds. You have shown that you are ready for whatever challenges may come your way. Keep up the good work, and there is nothing you cannot accomplish."
With their success at hitting static targets at 1000 meters, Colonel Ermey decided to up the ante for Maximus and his legions. He introduced the challenge of engaging moving targets at extreme ranges, testing their marksmanship and adaptability under pressure.
"All right, muscle heads. You have proven your skill with the Gewehr 43 to shoot a target 1000 meters, but now it is time to take it to the next level. We are introducing moving targets into a target. Now your task is to hit a moving target at 1000 meters with the same precision as before." Colonel Ermey explains.
Maximus and his legions exchanged determined looks, understanding the task's difficulty ahead. Moving targets added a layer of complexity to their marksmanship training, requiring them to anticipate the target's movements and adjust their aim accordingly.
With Colonel Ermey's guidance, they set up a series of moving targets at various distances (600, 700, 800, 900, and 1000 meters), moving at different speeds across the range. Maximus and his legions adjusted their sights and prepared to take their shots, their focus unwavering as they awaited the command to fire. They can estimate the target range and wind speed to shoot more precisely from the scope.
"Targets incoming!" Colonel Ermey called out, signaling the start of the exercise. Instantly, Maximus and his legions sprang into action, tracking the movement of the targets through their scopes and lining up their shots with precision.
Maximus and his legions adjusted their aim as the targets moved across the range, leading their shots to compensate for the target's movement. With each trigger pull, they sent rounds downrange, their shots echoing across the training grounds as they sought to hit their elusive targets.
Maximus and his legions remained focused and determined despite the added difficulty of engaging moving targets at extreme ranges. They hit their marks repeatedly through sheer skill and determination; their accuracy is a testament to their training and discipline.
With each successful hit, their confidence grew, and they pushed themselves to exceed their expectations. By the end of the exercise, they had proven themselves capable of hitting static and moving targets at 1000 meters with the Gewehr 43, solidifying their reputation as elite soldiers of the Fortisregnum Empire.
"Well done, Muscle heads. Now rest; all of you will train with "Hitler Buzzsaw" tomorrow." Colonel Ermey orders Maximus and his legions to rest before training with a modernized MG 42.
"Sir, yes, Sir." Maximus and his legion's response.
Secret Special Training Facilities, United Terran, 11 November 2140, 09:00 am
Maximus and his legions gathered at the training grounds the following day, ready to master the modernized MG 42, affectionately known as the "Hitler Buzzsaw." They stood before the imposing weapon, their eyes fixed on its sleek design and lethal capabilities.
Colonel Ermey stepped forward, his voice booming across the training grounds. "Today, you will learn to wield historical most fearsome machine gun. The MG 42 is a weapon of unparalleled firepower and precision. Your task is to familiarize yourselves with every aspect of its operation and work together as a cohesive team."
"Lieutenant Joker and Lieutenant Pyle, you show how to operate this buzzsaw to the ladies." Orders Colonel Ermey to Lieutenant Joker and Lieutenant Pyle.
"Sir, yes, sir." Lieutenant Joker and Lieutenant Pyle respond.
The lieutenants show how to operate MG 42 by checking the barrel, feed system, ammunition belt, and other components. After checking the condition of MG 42, then Lieutenant Pyle loaded the ammunition belt to the feed system, and Lieutenant Joker pulled the charging handle. Then, Lieutenant Joker precisely clicked the trigger to shoot the MG 42 at the target. Because of the high fire rate, Lieutenant Joker did not click the trigger continuously. He only clicked in short bursts with controlled sequences to optimize effectiveness, conserve ammunition, maintain accuracy, manage recoil, and prevent weapon overheating.
After watching the demonstration operation of MG 42, Maximus and his legionnaires approached the MG 42 with focused determination, eager to begin their training. They meticulously inspected every detail of the weapon, ensuring it was in optimal condition for firing. They checked the barrel, the feed system, and the ammunition belt, ensuring each component was functioning flawlessly.
Once satisfied with their inspection, Colonel Ermey divided Maximus and his legionnaires into teams, pairing each gunner with a spotter and a reload assistant. They practiced loading the ammunition belt into the feed system with precision and speed, ensuring a continuous supply of firepower during combat.
Maximus and his teams took their positions behind the MG 42 as the training progressed, ready to unleash its formidable firepower. The gunner aimed while the spotter provided guidance and adjusted their fire as needed. With practiced efficiency, the reload assistant ensured a steady stream of ammunition, keeping the weapon firing without interruption.
Maximus and his legions worked tirelessly, honing their skills with the MG 42 until they operated it with the precision and coordination of a well-oiled machine. Their shots rang out across the training grounds, a symphony of firepower that echoed their mastery of the weapon.
By the end of the training session, Maximus and his legions had proven themselves adept at handling the modernized MG42. Their teamwork and dedication had once again solidified their reputation as elite soldiers of the Fortisregnum Empire, ready to face any challenge on the battlefield.
With their training on the modernized MG42 complete, Maximus and his legions were ready to test their newfound skills. Impressed by their proficiency, Colonel Ermey devised a challenging exercise for their next session: shooting a swarm of training land drones with the MG42.
Lieutenant Joker and Lieutenant Pyle released and controlled the land drones with unpredictable speed and agility. Five hundred land drones are released as the target training for Maximus and his legions. Their targets were small and elusive but strong enough to resist some MG 42 rounds, requiring split-second reflexes and precision accuracy to hit. Maximus and his legionnaires positioned themselves behind the MG42, and their eyes focused on the large walls for the coming of land drones as they awaited the signal to begin. Their training mission is to destroy all land drones. After several minutes, the land drones are released to the training ground.
"Engage targets!" Colonel Ermey commanded, and immediately, the land drones zipped into action, zigzagging across the training grounds in a frenzied dance. Maximus and his teams sprang into action, the gunners unleashing torrents of bullets while their spotters provided guidance and adjusted their aim to track the fast-moving targets.
The air filled with the thunderous roar of the MG42 as Maximus and his legions unleashed a barrage of firepower, their shots converging on the swarm of land drones with deadly accuracy. Despite the land drones' evasive maneuvers and formidable armor, Maximus and his teams remained steadfast, their focus unwavering as they continued to rain down fire upon their elusive targets.
With an early, well-placed shot, the land drones still stand the damage from MG 42. However, the barrage of shots continuously damages the land drone's armor. Their mechanical bodies crumbled under the onslaught of bullets. Maximus and his legions worked in perfect harmony; their teamwork and coordination were evident as they systematically eliminated the swarm of training land drones.
As the last land drone deactivated because of the barrage of shots, Colonel Ermey approached Maximus and his teams, a look of pride gleaming in his eyes. "Outstanding performance, soldiers! You have proven capable of handling the most formidable weapons with precision and skill."
Maximus and his legionnaires exchanged congratulatory nods, their chests swelling with pride at their accomplishment. With their training on the MG42 complete, they stood ready to face whatever challenges awaited them on the battlefield, their bond as soldiers stronger than ever. If they use these weapons as defensive weapons for castles or city walls, they can repel the attack of monsters and enemy infantry and cavalry that attack the walls.

"Next, we have the Walter P38 pistol," Colonel Ermey continued, his voice commanding the attention of Maximus and his legions. "This versatile sidearm is a reliable backup weapon, ready to be deployed when your primary firearm is unavailable or when engaging enemies at close quarters."
He gestured toward the sleek design of the P38 pistol, its ergonomic grip and streamlined profile exuding a sense of precision and efficiency. "The Walter P38 is chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum ammunition, offering ample stopping power in a compact package. Its short-recoil operated semi-automatic action allows for rapid and accurate fire, making it ideal for quick engagements and defensive situations."
Colonel Ermey paused, allowing Maximus and his legions to take in the details of the P38 pistol before continuing. "With its simple yet robust design, the P38 is easy to maintain and operate, ensuring reliability in the heat of battle. Whether as a last resort or a primary sidearm, the Walter P38 is a dependable companion on the battlefield."
Turning his attention to the next weapon, Colonel Ermey unveiled the MaschinenPistole (MP) 40, commonly known as the MP 40 submachine gun. "Now, onto the MaschinenPistole 40, or MP 40," he announced, his tone conveying the significance of the weapon before them.
"The MP40 is a legendary submachine gun renowned for its reliability, simplicity, and firepower," Colonel Ermey explained, his words punctuated by the imposing presence of the weapon. "Chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum ammunition, the MP40 features a selective-fire mechanism, allowing for both semi-automatic and fully automatic fire modes." Colonel Ermey explains.
He gestured toward the distinctive design of the MP40, its folding stock and iconic magazine housing embodying the epitome of German engineering during World War II. "With its compact and lightweight construction, the MP40 is well-suited for close-quarters combat and urban warfare, providing soldiers with a formidable weapon in tight spaces."
Colonel Ermey emphasized the importance of proper training and proficiency with the P38 pistol and the MP40 submachine gun. "These weapons are essential tools in your arsenal, soldiers. Mastering their operation and tactics will be crucial to your success on the battlefield. Remember, precision and discipline are the keys to victory."
Maximus and his legions nodded in understanding, their determination unwavering as they prepared to train with the Walter P38 pistol and the MP40 submachine gun. With Colonel Ermey's guidance, they stood ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, armed with the knowledge and skill to emerge victorious.
"Soldiers, the modernized version of MP40 is capable of accommodating various types of 9mm Parabellum ammunition, each serving different purposes on the battlefield," Colonel Ermey continued, his voice resonating across the training grounds.
He gestured toward the sleek silhouette of the MP40, emphasizing its versatility as a weapon platform. "Besides the standard 9mm Parabellum ammunition, the modernized MP40 can be chambered in several specialized variants, tailored to meet specific combat needs."
Colonel Ermey began with the overpressure variant, highlighting its enhanced muzzle velocity and energy performance. "The overpressure variant of 9mm Parabellum ammunition is loaded to higher pressure levels, resulting in increased projectile velocity and terminal ballistics. This ammunition is particularly effective against armored targets and at extended ranges, providing our soldiers with added firepower when facing heavily fortified positions or armored adversaries."
Next, he turned his attention to the hollow variant, underscoring its effectiveness in close-quarters combat. "The hollow variant of 9mm Parabellum ammunition features hollow-point bullets designed to expand upon impact, maximizing tissue damage and stopping power. This ammunition is ideal for engagements at close range, where overpenetration is a concern, ensuring swift and decisive neutralization of threats."
Colonel Ermey then described the subsonic variant, emphasizing its utility in stealth operations. "Subsonic ammunition is loaded to travel at velocities below the speed of sound, reducing the weapon's noise signature and minimizing the risk of detection by enemy forces. This variant is invaluable in covert operations and nighttime engagements, where maintaining the element of surprise is critical to mission success." Colonel Ermey explains.
He concluded his overview of the modernized MP40's ammunition variants with a nod to the armor-piercing and tracer variants, acknowledging their specialized combat roles. "While less commonly utilized, armor-piercing ammunition offers increased penetration capabilities against hardened targets, while tracer rounds provide visual confirmation of shot placement and aid in target acquisition during low-light conditions."
Colonel Ermey's comprehensive explanation provided Maximus and his legions with a thorough understanding of the MP40 and its various ammunition variants' capabilities and applications. Armed with this knowledge, they were prepared to employ the MP40 effectively in a wide range of combat scenarios, adapting to the battlefield's ever-changing demands with precision and skill.
"Now, all of you are training with the P38 pistol and MP40. You can also train with previous weapons to increase the proficiency of each gun." Colonel Ermey ordered Maximus and his legions to train with the existing weapons.
"Sir, yes, Sir." Maximus and his legions respond.
Secret Special Training Facilities, United Terran, 13 November 2140, 09:00 am
Colonel Ermey stood before Maximus and his legion, his presence commanding attention as always. Today's training would focus on a new weapon: the GM6 Lynx Gepard rifle, a formidable anti-materiel rifle designed for long-range precision shooting.
"All right, you sorry bunch of grunts," Colonel Ermey barked, his voice echoing across the training grounds. "Today, we will introduce you to the GM6 Lynx Gepard rifle. This bad boy is designed to punch through armor and take out enemy equipment from long distances. Pay attention because knowing how to operate this weapon could mean the difference between life and death on the battlefield."
Maximus and his legion nodded in understanding, their focus unwavering as they listened to Colonel Ermey's instructions. The GM6 Lynx Gepard rifle was a weapon unlike any they had encountered before, and they were eager to learn how to wield it effectively.
Colonel Ermey stepped aside, gesturing to a table where several GM6 Lynx rifles were laid out, gleaming in the sunlight. He motioned for Maximus and his legion to approach, his expression serious as he began to explain the rifle's features and operation.
"This here is the GM6 Lynx Gepard rifle," Colonel Ermey began, his voice authoritative as he picked up one of the rifles. "It's chambered in .50 BMG, capable of delivering devastating firepower at extreme ranges. But it's not just about pulling the trigger and hoping for the best. You need to know how to handle this weapon precisely and skillfully."
Colonel Ermey then demonstrated the proper stance and grip for firing the GM6 Lynx, emphasizing the importance of stability and control when taking aim. He showed them how to adjust the rifle's bipod and shoulder rest for maximum comfort and accuracy, ensuring that every shot would count.
"Remember, Muscleheads," Colonel Ermey said, his voice firm. "The GM6 Lynx is a precision instrument. It's not about spraying bullets everywhere like a bunch of amateurs. It's about carefully aiming and hitting your target with deadly accuracy."
With Colonel Ermey's guidance, Maximus and his legion familiarized themselves with the GM6 Lynx Gepard rifle, practicing their aim and trigger control under his watchful eye. They took turns sighting through the rifle's powerful scope, adjusting their aim to account for windage and elevation as they engaged targets downrange.
Maximus and his legion grew more confident in operating the GM6 Lynx effectively as the training session progressed. They appreciated the rifle's raw power and precision, recognizing its potential to turn the tide of battle in their favor.
Secret Special Training Facilities, United Terran, 14 November 2140, 09:00 am
The next day, Colonel Ermey observed Maximus and his legion as they stood before him, ready to undertake their next training challenge: using the GM6 Lynx Gepard rifle to engage heavily armored targets representative of those they might encounter on the battlefield.
"All right, you bunch of grunts," Colonel Ermey's voice boomed across the training grounds, "Today, we're going to see just what this GM6 Lynx can do against some real tough targets. We're talking about the Fortisregnum Empire shield, your precious armor, heavy personnel armor that protects your body, and even a thin Armored Personnel Carrier from superpower nations similar to British Empire and Nazi Reich. You think you're up for the challenge?"
Maximus and his legion exchanged determined glances, their resolve unwavering as they prepared to put their training to the test. They knew that mastering the GM6 Lynx against such formidable adversaries would require precision, skill, and a steady hand.
Colonel Ermey led Maximus and his legion to the firing range, where targets representing the various armored threats awaited them. The Fortisregnum Empire shield stood tall and imposing, while heavy personnel armor and an armored personnel carrier were positioned further downrange.
"All right, Muscleheads," Colonel Ermey instructed, "the key here is to aim for weak points and vulnerabilities. The shield might be tough, but it's not indestructible. The same goes for the armor and the APC. Find the right angle, adjust for penetration, and let those .50 BMG rounds do the rest." Colonel Ermey expalains.
Maximus and his legion took up positions behind their GM6 Lynx rifles, their focus honed on the targets ahead. With Colonel Ermey's guidance, they adjusted their scopes and calculated their shots, considering distance, angle, and target composition factors.
"Fire at will!" Colonel Ermey commanded, and Maximus and his legion wasted no time in unleashing a barrage of .50 BMG rounds toward the armored targets.
The GM6 Lynx rifles roared to life as Maximus and his legion engaged the targets with precision and determination. They aimed for weak points in the Fortisregnum Empire shield, exploiting any gaps or vulnerabilities they could find. They targeted joints and seams against the heavy personnel armor, where the armor was less reinforced. Moreover, when it came to the armored personnel carrier, they focused their fire on key components such as the engine block and tires.
The targets showed signs of damage with each shot, with the .50 BMG rounds tearing through armor and shielding with devastating force. Maximus and his legion adjusted their aim as needed, their shots finding their mark with deadly accuracy.
As the dust settled and the gunfire echoes faded, Colonel Ermey surveyed the results with a nod of approval. The Fortisregnum Empire shield lay shattered, the heavy personnel armor riddled with holes, and the armored personnel carrier incapacitated beyond repair.
"Well done, Muscleheads," Colonel Ermey said, his voice filled with pride. "You've proven that the GM6 Lynx can take down even the toughest of targets. With skills like yours, there's no enemy that can stand in our way."
Maximus and his legion exchanged triumphant smiles, knowing that they had passed yet another test under Colonel Ermey's expert guidance. With their proficiency with the GM6 Lynx confirmed, they were more prepared than ever to face whatever challenges awaited them on the battlefield.
Secret Special Training Facilities, United Terran, 14 November 2140, 09:00 am
Colonel Ermey stood before Maximus and his legion once again, his demeanor serious as he prepared to introduce them to their next training challenge: the Panzerfaust 3, a powerful anti-tank weapon designed to take down armored vehicles with deadly precision.
"All right, you bunch of sorry excuses for soldiers," Colonel Ermey's voice boomed across the training grounds, "Today, we're going to learn how to use the Panzerfaust 3. This baby packs enough punch to turn a tank into Swiss cheese, but it's not something you want to mess around with. Pay attention and listen up because one wrong move could mean the end of you."
Maximus and his legion nodded in understanding, and their attention focused on Colonel Ermey as he began to demonstrate the operation of the Panzerfaust 3. The weapon was a formidable piece of equipment, and they knew that mastering it would be essential for taking on enemy armor on the battlefield.
Colonel Ermey picked up one of the Panzerfaust 3 launchers, holding it up for all to see. "This here is the Panzerfaust 3," he said, his voice commanding. It's a disposable anti-tank weapon designed to be easy to use but devastatingly effective. You load it, aim it, and fire it simple as that. However, do not let its simplicity fool you. This thing can punch through some serious armor." Colonel Ermey explains.
Colonel Ermey demonstrated the loading procedure for the Panzerfaust 3, showing Maximus and his legion how to arm the warhead and prepare the launcher for firing. He emphasized the importance of proper handling and safety precautions, warning them of the dangers of mishandling such a powerful weapon.
"Remember, Muscleheads," Colonel Ermey said sternly, "the Panzerfaust 3 is not a toy. Treat it with respect, and it will serve you well. Nevertheless, get careless, and you will be picking up the pieces of your sorry excuse for a body."
With Colonel Ermey's demonstration complete, Maximus and his legion took turns practicing with the Panzerfaust 3 under his watchful eye. They familiarized themselves with the weapon's controls and operation, learning how to aim and fire with precision.
Colonel Ermey offered guidance and feedback as they practiced, helping them improve their technique and accuracy. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and coordination when using the Panzerfaust 3 in combat, stressing the need for clear communication and effective target selection.
By the end of the training session, Maximus and his legion felt confident in their ability to wield the Panzerfaust 3 effectively. They knew that with Colonel Ermey's expert guidance and their own determination, they would be a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, capable of taking down even the most heavily armored foes.
Secret Special Training Facilities, United Terran, 15 November 2140, 09:00 am
The next day, with their training on the Panzerfaust 3 complete, Maximus and his legion were ready for their next challenge: taking on the formidable T-90 Main Battle Tank (MBT). Under Colonel Ermey's expert guidance, they prepared to put their skills to the test against one of the most advanced armored vehicles in existence.
"All right, Muscleheads," Colonel Ermey's voice rang out across the training grounds. Today, you will be facing off against the remote-controlled T-90 MBT. This is not a walk in the park, so I hope you are ready to bring your A-game. Remember what I taught you about the Panzerfaust 3, and let us show this tank what we are made of!"
Maximus and his legion nodded in determination, their focus unwavering as they prepared to engage the remote-controlling T-90 MBT. They knew that hitting a moving target like the T-90 MBT would require precision and skill, but they were confident in their abilities after their rigorous training.
Colonel Ermey led Maximus and his legion to the firing range, where a stationary T-90 MBT was positioned at various distances: 100, 250, 500, and 750 meters. The tank's imposing presence loomed in the distance, its armor gleaming in the sunlight.
"All right, Muscleheads," Colonel Ermey instructed, "You will each take turns firing at the T-90 MBT. Remember to aim for the weak points - the rear armor, the tracks, and the turret ring. Moreover, do not forget to lead your shots if the tank is moving. Now, let us see what you have got!"
Maximus and his legion took up positions behind their Panzerfaust 3 launchers, and their eyes focused on the distant target. With Colonel Ermey's guidance, they adjusted their aim and prepared to take their shots.
"Fire at will!" Colonel Ermey commanded, and Maximus and his legion wasted no time in unleashing their Panzerfaust 3 rockets at the T-90 MBT.
The rockets streaked across the range, their trajectories carefully calculated as Maximus and his legion aimed for the tank's vulnerable spots. They adjusted their aim as needed, compensating for the T-90 MBT's movement and distance.
With each shot, the T-90 MBT showed signs of damage, the rockets impacting with explosive force against its armored hull. Maximus and his legion maintained their focus and determination, their shots becoming more accurate with each attempt.
As the dust settled and the gunfire echoes faded, Colonel Ermey surveyed the results with a nod of approval. Despite the T-90 MBT's formidable armor, Maximus and his legion had scored hits on the tank's vulnerable points, demonstrating their skill and precision with the Panzerfaust 3.
"Well done, Muscleheads," Colonel Ermey said, his voice filled with pride. "You have proven that even the toughest targets can be taken down with the right training and determination. Keep up the good work, and there is nothing you cannot accomplish on the battlefield."
Maximus and his legion exchanged triumphant smiles, knowing that they had passed yet another test under Colonel Ermey's expert guidance. With their proficiency in taking down armored targets confirmed, they were more prepared than ever to face whatever challenges awaited them in the heat of battle.
After several hours of training, Maximus had a new strategy to utilize and improved the testudo tactic with guns.
"Listen, legions. I have a new idea for improving and integrating our testudo formation. Unlike previous testudo formations, we do not have to engage the enemy at close range, but we can fight them at medium or long range. We could use this tactic if we fight similar and non-superpower civilizations such as the Novacara Empire, Sterkraland Empire, Dawlat Al-Nur Caliphate, and other nations. However, we only use the tactic from United Terran against modern and industrialized nations such as Imperio Estelar, Angles Empire, and Weltenkraft Reich." Maximus informs his legions about his new ideas.
"So what is your idea, Legatus Maximus?" one of his legions asked him.

"Look, we will use testudo for the front, side, and rear layers as the first layer carried Proud Shield. When the first layer legion uses Proud Shield in their left hand, they will use their right hand for a pistol. The second layer is for legions with SMG of Assault rifle and the third layer with semi-automatic rifle". Maximus explains the layer and gun type for each layer.
"So interesting. However, with our Proud shield, we can not utilize the maximum effect of the shield. I hope our government also orders a modernized proud shield from United Terran with materials similar to those of previous land drones. They can withstand several shots from MG42. It may be standing with Imperio Estelar musket, Angles Empire, and Weltenkraft Reich rifle and machine guns." Heraclius, the advisor of the elite legions, argues for the modernization of Proud Shield.
"Good idea Heraclius. After this training, you and I will be in the audience with Emperor Aurelius to report our results. Now, for the offensive stances, when we open the testudo formation, the first layer will crouch while holding the shield. Then, the second layer also crouches, but higher than the first layer, to shoot their assault rifle or submachine gun. The last layer is shooting with a semi-automatic rifle. However, because the last layer shoots while standing, they must use magic to enhance their power to stand the gun recoil and enhance sight to increase accuracy and precision. One or two legions in the last layer will carry machine guns if the enemy tries to break our formation." Maximus explained.
"I think machine guns will be more effective for defense. I suggest we put machine guns near our camp to protect us from encirclement. These machine gunners would give suppression fire for enemy cavalry tried to encircle us. This machine gun will prevent and annihilate their cavalry based on Novacan Empire tactics for utilizing cavalry to break through our testudo tactics and encircle us." Heraclius gives the improvement tactics.
"Good idea, Heraclius. I will ask Colonel Ermey's permission to train this tactic".
Secret Special Training Facilities, United Terran, 14 November 2140, 09:00 am
After getting approval from Colonel Ermey, Maximus and his legions tried this tactic. Colonel Ermey, Lieutenant Joker, and Lieutenant Pyle watch Maximus and his legions train with their new tactics.
"Colonel, may I ask you? Honestly, Maximus and his legions have more potential than our ISF. They can only master STG 44, Gewehr 43, MG42, P38, MP40, GM6 Lynx, and Panzerfaust 3 for two weeks. They can also shoot more than 800 meters accurately and precisely, a static and moving target in less than a month. I only master my plasma assault rifle over two months to shoot accurately more than 1000 meters from the unknown to master the weapon. I heard they can utilize magic to improve their skills. I am afraid they will become a threat to us in the future." Lieutenant Pyle asked Colonel Ermey.
"Heh, finally, you are aware and using your tiny brain, Lieutenant Pyle. First, you are not the best member of ISF, so you can not compare yourself to the best member of ISF. Second, you are only stuck at Lieutenant because of your tiny brain. However, do not be sad. You are one of my favorite subordinates. Third, yeah, you are right. They have excellent proficiency in learning and training with modern weapons. I also assumed they used magic to increase their skill. When I fight them without magic, I can defeat all of them. But we did not stand a chance against them when they used magic in hand-to-hand combat without nanomachine support. I hope our government and scientists will solve the magic problem against us in this new world." Colonel Ermey argues about Maximus and his legions' proficiency with magic to improve their skills.
"Look, what are they doing?" Lieutenant Joker pointed to the training ground while Maximus and his legion were training.
"What the hell is that tactic? Did they use Roman Testudo and carry guns? It is a bizarre tactic." Lieutenant Pyle respond.
"Heh, I think Maximus is more genius than you, Lieutenant Pyle. He initiatively integrates guns into their Testudo tactics to shock the enemy. Fighting with a similar or higher civilization that does not utilize guns will increase their winning chance. Look at those machine gunners at the back, and they simulate a line of machine gunners for defense if they push back or the enemy cavalry tries to encircle or break through their Testudo tactics. They also use their shield as their defense and platform for shooting their MG42. Maybe he will be a general if he is in our military." Colonel Ermey is aware of the tactic used by Maximus and his legions.

At the training ground, Maximus and his legions tried their tactic. They close into the enemy with testudo formation until the effective range of guns. When under the effective range, the first layer is ready to open.
"First layer, open the shield," Maximus commands his legion
When the first layers are opened, the first layer legion is crouched, holding its shield and the crouched legions to protect it. The second layer also crouched when ready to aim their assault rifle and submachine guns.
"Second and third layer, aim." Maximus orders.
The second and third-layer legions enhanced their skill with magic to improve their power and increase accuracy and precision.
"Fire at will." Maximum last orders.

Figure 6. The modified Roman Testudo art style integrates with pistols, assault rifles/submachine guns, and rifles [5]
The legions at the second and third layer shoot their assault rifle, submachine guns, and semi-automatic rifles to the enemies. After several shots, the ammo is nearly empty. Suddenly, they simulate the enemy's charge and try to outflank them.
"Enemy cavalry, fallback to the Castra stativa (main camp)," Maximus orders the legions to fall back to the main camp.
When realized the enemy cavalry tried to flank the front legion and encircle them, the rear legion with MG42 gave suppression fire and also tried to annihilate the enemy cavalry. Because of the high rate of fire and effective range, the rare legion could annihilate the cavalry.
After realizing the cavalry failed to outflank the legions, the enemy simulated to retreat. Finally, the simulation battle formation is over.
"Outstanding. Maybe I will improve their tactics. Next time, I will train and give them a tactic from Oda Nobunaga when fighting at Nagashino to improve their testudo tactics." Colonel Ermey applauded and was ready to train them.
Finally, that training is over, and training with heavy equipment and vehicles will await Maximus and his legions.
