Battle of Colobria City

Battle of Colobria City

Pampoi City, Fortisregnum Empire, 19 March 2141/ 19 Martius 1841, 09:00 am

Senator Brutus and the Black Shadow leaderboard inspect the magic muskets, cannons, and majestic dragons in the military field outside Pampoi City. For the first plan in the Fortisregnum Empire civil war, they will attack Colobria City, an agricultural city supporting logistical foods for Aeterna City.

"Senator Brutus, because the modern weapons like main battle tanks and aircraft need to be reassembled and final checking, we can only use the regular troops of Pampoi City and magic muskets, cannons, and majestic dragons from Imperio Estelar. Some array cultivators will also help for offensive and defensive purposes." Mr. 0 explains the readiness of modern weapons from Black Shadow.

"Thank you, Mr. 0. We will use Pampoi City elite infantry to fight the legionnaires in our first target, Colobria City. Colobria City supported Emperor Aurelius and became one of the primary sources of food logistics for Aeterna City. While we prepare our modern weapons, we will capture and stop the logistic support for Aeterna City." Senator Brutus explained the first city target.

"Good idea, Senator Brutus. Based on the geographic location, Colobria is nearer to us than Aeterna City. Even if Emperor Aurelius sent his elite legionnaires, we could set an ambush to intercept and destroy their reinforcements. However, we must be careful against the United Terran's modern weapons as the support for Emperor Aurelius legionnaires. One of the best suggestions is splitting our force into three forces, one to lure the enemy legionnaires outside the city wall so we could optimize our magic muskets and cannons performance. The second is the main army that sieges Colobria City, reinforced with magic muskets and cannons to destroy the enemy city wall. The third is the ambush army, which consists of spirit and array cultivators to set traps and musketeers to annihilate enemy reinforcements." Mr. 02 suggest a plan to split the troops.

"Interesting suggestion, Mr. 02. How can the enemy be lured outside the city walls? Do you have a plan to lure the enemy, Mr. 02?" Mr. 01 asks Mr. 02 how to lure the enemy outside the city walls.

"I think I know how to lure them out. Unlike Emperor Aurelius and Maximus, heads of legionnaires who are wise and intelligent, the leader of Colobria City, Duke Oenotrus, is honorable and prideful. We could give their spies false information that we would attack them through the primary way with five thousand infantry. While he engages the first forces, the second forces slip through alternative ways to besiege Colobria City. After he knows that Colobria City has been besieged, he will return and try to break the siege. At this moment, the first force will pincer them through the main roads and join the second force to crush Colobria City." Senator Brutus explains the plan.

"Decent plan, Senator Brutus. However, how can we mitigate the United Terran intelligence? We assume they will know our plans and tell Duke Oenotrus about our plans to lure them outside the city walls." Mrs. Saturday asks Senator Brutus about the intervention of United Terran intelligence.

"Even if the United Terran intercepted our plan and strategy to attack Colobria City, I am assured that Duke Oenotrus will ignore the United Terran information. He knows we are weaker than his elite legionnaires, and we do not have a chance to fight him normally. However, he did not know that our first forces would be reinforced with magic muskets and cannons that would annihilate their forces. Even if he sent his elite wyvern troops, we could annihilate them with the help of majestic dragons." Senator Brutus explains.

"Indeed, our majestic dragons are the strongest in terms of biological air force. We only lose against machine aircraft from Weltenkraft Reich, People's Republic of Uroslav, and the United States of Amarilon because they could send their magic homing arrow (missile) from long range." Mr. 02 proudly explains that his nation's majestic dragons are the strongest.

"All right, ladies and gentlemen. We must finish our inspection and send our troops to attack the Colobria City." Senator Brutus said.

As the inspection concluded, Senator Brutus and the leaders of the Black Shadow began issuing orders and making final preparations for the assault on Colobria City.

"Mr. 0, ensure the modern weapons are assembled and checked precisely. We cannot afford any malfunctions during the operation," Senator Brutus commanded.

"Of course, Senator Brutus. Our technicians are working tirelessly to ensure everything is in perfect working order," Mr. 0 assured.

Meanwhile, Mr. 01 was tasked with coordinating the deployment of operatives from Black Shadow and executing the intricate plan.

"Mr. 01, ensure our scouts are well-trained and equipped to disseminate false information to the enemy. We need Oenotrus to take the bait and come out to meet us. However, beware of the counterintelligence action from the United Terran intelligence." Senator Brutus instructed.

"Understood, Senator Brutus. Our Black Shadow operatives are experienced in deception tactics and will ensure the enemy takes the bait. We will carefully deploy false information, especially from the United Terran counterintelligence. We could fight enemy counterintelligence with our modern weapons." Mr. 01 replied confidently.

On the other hand, Mr. 02 and Mrs. Saturday focused on positioning the ambush forces and coordinating the pincer movement.

"Our array of cultivators and musketeers must be strategically placed to maximize the effectiveness of our ambush. Timing will be crucial," Mr. 02 emphasized.

"Yes, the spirit and array cultivators will set death and illusion array to confuse and kill the enemy who lack mana and spirit power." Mrs. Saturday explained.

With the plan in motion, Senator Brutus addressed his troops, rallying them for the upcoming battle.

"Soldiers of Pampoi City and Black Shadow, today we march to conquer the enemy who supports Emperor Aurelius! Colobria City, the stronghold of our enemies, will fall before our might. Together, we will crush the forces of Emperor Aurelius and secure victory for the slavery faction, allowing the Fortisregnum Empire to prosper!" Senator Brutus declared, his voice resonating with determination and conviction.

With morale high and the plan meticulously crafted, Senator Brutus and the Black Shadow's forces marched towards Colobria City, ready to wage war and change the course of history in the Fortisregnum Empire civil war.

Safehouse of UT ISIA, Aeterna City, 19 March 2141/ 19 Martius 1841, 03:00 pm

Johnny Bean, the Person in charge (PIC) of United Terran intelligence in Fortisregnum Empire, gets the information from his operative that Senator Brutus and Black Shadow have already launched their attack on Colobria City.

"Oh my God. They have already launched their attack. How long will the enemy arrive at the Colobria City?" Johnny asked his operative, Agent M.

"Based on our satellite information, the range of Pampoi City and Colobria City is 600 km. Assuming they march at constant speed at 10 km/h with horses, rest for three hours, and sleep for seven hours, we assume they will arrive at least five days. However, they will split the troops into three forces. Based on the information, one force lured out the legionnaires in Colobria City, the second force to besiege the City, and the third to ambush the reinforcements from another city." Agent M said.

Agent M continued elaborating on the enemy's plan to Johnny Bean, painting a detailed picture of the unfolding events.

"According to intercepted communications and reconnaissance reports, Senator Brutus and the Black Shadow leadership have devised a multifaceted strategy to attack Colobria City. They plan to divide their forces into three main groups. The first group will act as bait to draw out the legionnaires stationed within the city walls. This force will likely consist of infantry and some support units, aiming to engage the enemy in open combat. We assume they will utilize and maximize the performance of magic muskets and cannons against the legionnaires." Agent M explains the first troop's plan.

"The second group will be the main siege force, aiming to encircle and assault Colobria City. This contingent will be reinforced with magic muskets, cannons, and possibly other magical assets, aiming to breach the City's defenses and capture it. If the soldiers of Colobria City who have already sailed out know, they will return to break the siege and be pincered by the enemy's first and second force." Agent M explains the second troop plan.

"The third group, designated as the ambush force, will be positioned strategically to intercept any reinforcements or relief forces attempting to come to Colobria City's aid. This force will likely include skilled operatives such as spirit and array cultivators and musketeers trained in guerrilla tactics. I do not know about the true power of these spirit and array cultivators, but they will impact devastation if they successfully intercept and ambush the reinforcements." Agent M explains the third troop plan.

"Senator Brutus and his cohorts seem confident in their ability to outmaneuver the enemy, relying on deception and superior firepower to achieve their objectives. We assume they will also utilize the majestic dragons as their air force. Based on our calculation, the soldiers and legionnaires in Colobria City did not have a chance to fight and defend themselves against these troops. Except we intercepted them with our drones or missiles. " Agent M explains.

Johnny Bean listened intently, his mind already racing with potential countermeasures. He swiftly decided and turned to Agent M with a steely gaze.

"Damn, we cannot do anything significantly to stop this civil war. Our government has already declared not to intervene directly in this civil war. Agent M, I need you to relay this information to Mr. Luigi and Sir Lucien, our diplomats in the Fortisregnum Empire. Mr. Luigi and Sir Lucien must immediately convey the details of this enemy plan to Emperor Aurelius. Additionally, Sir Lucien was instructed to advise the Emperor on the best action to counter Senator Brutus's offensive." Johnny orders Agent M to inform Luigi and Lucien.

"Furthermore, activate our network of informants and native agents within Colobria City and its surroundings. We need eyes and ears to monitor the situation closely and provide real-time updates on enemy movements and deployments. We cannot allow Senator Brutus to gain the upper hand. The fate of the Empire hangs in the balance, and we must do everything in our power to ensure Emperor Aurelius's victory." Johnny also orders Agent M to inform the native operatives around Colobria City.

Agent M nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of the situation. He quickly relayed the orders to his team and set the wheels in motion to execute Johnny Bean's directives. The race against time had begun, and the stakes could not be higher.

Royal Palace, Aeterna City, 19 March 2141/ 19 Martius 1841, 04:00 pm

After getting the information, Agent M informed Luigi, Lucien, and Emperor Aurelius about Senator Brutus's Army's attack on Colobria City.

"Your Majesty, from our informant, Senator Brutus already has started the attack on Colobria City. We assume they will send fifteen to twenty thousand troops of standard Fortisregnum Empire infantry, musketeers, magic cannons, and majestic dragons. Musketeers, magic cannons, and majestic dragons are the help of Black Shadow PMC. We assume they will arrive at least four to five days to Colobria City." Lucien reports to Emperor Aurelius.

"Oh my gods, how could magic weapons and majestic dragons from Imperio Estellar help Senator Brutus in their action? Did Imperio Estelar help through Black Shadow?" Emperor Aurelius was shocked that Senator Brutus was helped by Imperio Estelar's magic weapons and majestic dragons.

"We assume Black Shadow got the weapons from the faction in Imperio Estelar, which supports the slavery faction. However, Imperio Estelar may want to invest in terms of political and military influence in the Fortisregnum Empire. We did not have a diplomatic relationship with Imperio Estelar, and our intelligence networking is still limited because we focus on Fortisregnum Empire, Novacara Empire, and Dawlat al-Nur Caliphate. Soon, we will send intelligence to Imperio Estelar because we have already intervened in the holy war between Imperio Estelar and the Holy Empire against Dawlat al-Nur Caliphate." Luigi comments.

"How can we stop this army and prevent Colobria City from being captured? Do you have suggestions, Sir Luigi and Sir Lucien?" Emperor Aurelius asks Luigi and Lucien.

"Unfortunately, neither of us can suggest military action, Your Majesty, even if we cannot intervene directly in this civil war regarding military power and our treaty before. We will send Maximus and his legionnaires alongside with modern equipment next week. However, we could provide information and intelligence on the actions of Senator Brutus's army. Maximus and his legionnaires could stop Senator Brutus's army when approaching Aeterna City with their advanced modern weapons, vehicles, aircraft, and equipment." Luigi responds.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Even if we inform the governor and nobles in Colobria City, they still have no match for this army. Maybe we could ask Mr. Johnny about his plan in this civil war. Let me contact him through holographic calls." Lucien asks permission to contact Johnny.

"Yes, you could contact Sir Johnny, Sir Lucien." Emperor Aurelius approved.

Lucien then contacted Johnny about the UT ISIA planning during the civil war.

"Your Majesty, Mr. Luigi, Mr. Lucien, Johnny Bean, at your service," Johnny responded to Lucien's holographic call.

"Mr. Johnny, could you give us some information about UT ISIA's actions during the Civil War?" Lucien asked Johnny.

"I am sorry, Mr. Lucien. The detailed information is classified. We cannot disclose this information. However, we can be confident we will take several actions like sabotage their supply route, intercept and decode their encrypted message, and obtain the enemy's tactical and strategic plans." Johnny's response.

"I see. Thank you for the information, Sir Jhonny. Could you give more information about the enemy's power and capability?" Emperor Aurelius asked.

"Based on our information, we found enemy reassembled monoplane fighters and jet fighters in several secret hangars around Pampoi Region forests. They also check and assemble some components of the heavy and main battle tanks in secret garages around Pampoi City." Johnny respond.

"What? Jet fighters and main battle tanks? Are you sure about that, Johnny? How did they send modern weapons in the civil war of the Fortisregnum Empire? Does Weltenkraft Reich and the People's Republic of Uroslav also support the Senator Brutus slavery faction through Black Shadow?" Luigi is shocked that Black Shadow sends Jet fighters and MBTs to help the slavery faction ignite a coup.

"I do not know, sir. Because of the vast Luminarum, we lack updated information about Weltenkraft Reich and the People's Republic of Uroslav. Currently, we only focus on the Fortisregnum Empire, Novacara Empire, and Dawlat al-Nur Caliphate. We have also prepared intelligence networks in the Tianlong Empire for diplomatic relationship missions," Johnny responds.

"All right, Mr. Johnny. Could you send this information to the governor and nobles who support Emperor Aurelius with our drones?" Lucien asked Johnny.

"We already rely on the information of our agents in Colobria City. However, to have legal and formal information from Emperor Aurelius, we could use our drones to send the formal imperial orders." Johnny responds.

"Could UT ISIA conduct sabotage missions to prevent the reassembly process of enemy modern equipment?" Luigi asked Johnny again.

"We could not disclose that information. However, we will do our best to reduce the casualties on the civilian and Emperor Aurelius side." Johnny respond.

"Thank you for help, Sir Johnny. The help from UT ISIA could give updated information about the enemy tactics and strategies. Please send this imperial order from me to Oenotrus, Governor, and Duke of Colobria, to prepare defensive action against the incoming army. Tell them, if they could not defend Colobria City properly, they could surrender to prevent unnecessary bloodshed and casualties from civilians." Emperor Aurelius then ordered his writer man to write the imperial order to Duke Oenotrus to prepare a defensive act.

"As you wish, Your Majesty. We will send your imperial order to Mr. Oenotrus." Johnny responds.

After the imperial order was finished, Emperor Aurelius mailed it to Lucien. Then Lucien gave the mail to Agent M to send it via stealth drones to native agents in Colobria City. The native agents will secretly send the imperial order to the noble guard and Duke Oenotrus.

Governor Palace, Colobria City, 20 March 2141/ 20 Martius 1841, 08:00 am

Duke Oenotrus is the governor of Colobria City and leader of Colobria province. He is a loyal noble of Emperor Aurelius and became one of the strategic cities in the Fortisregnum Empire. Initially, Emperor Aurelius granted him the title of King of Socoly. However, he refuses and lets his younger brother become King of Socoly while he still becomes Duke of Colobria to prevent the internal conflict between the brothers. If Colobria threatens, his younger brother, who became King of Socoly, must answer and defend his brother and area.

Duke Oenotrus is a rival of Senator Brutus, who became one of the leaders in Pampoi City. Even though slavery became a lucrative business, Duke Oenotrus and Emperor Aurelius despised the slavery practice in the Fortisregnum Empire. After knowing the information order of Emperor Aurelius about the attack of Senator Brutus's army on Colobria City, he ready his elite troops to defend Colobria City. However, he was surprised after seeing Senator Brutus use external power to help them ignite the coup, and his hatred for Senator Brutus grew.

Duke Oenotrus stood in the war room of the Governor's Palace, his expression stern and determined as he processed the gravity of the situation. The news of Senator Brutus's impending attack had caught him off guard, but he was not one to be easily swayed by adversity. With his loyalty to Emperor Aurelius unwavering, he swiftly formulated a plan to defend Colobria City and Province against the onslaught of Senator Brutus's army.

"Prepare my commanders," he ordered his trusted right-hand man, Commander Leonidas, a seasoned veteran known for his tactical prowess and unwavering loyalty. "We must bolster our defenses and rally our troops for the impending assault."

Commander Leonidas nodded solemnly, his gaze reflecting the gravity of the situation. "Yes, my lord. I will see to it immediately. Our infantry and cavalry must be ready to repel any advance from Senator Brutus's forces," he responded.

As Commander Leonidas hastened to carry out Duke Oenotrus's orders, the Duke turned to his left-hand man, Commander Callisto, a skilled commander renowned for his expertise in aerial warfare and magical tactics.

"Commander Callisto, we must prepare our wyvern troops and magic ballista for the defense of Colobria City. Senator Brutus may have external support, but we will not falter in adversity. Our wyverns will soar high above the battlefield, striking fear into the hearts of our enemies. At the same time, our magic ballista will rain down destruction upon them," Duke Oenotrus declared with unwavering resolve.

Commander Callisto nodded in agreement, his eyes gleaming with determination. "As you command, my lord. Our wyverns will be ready to take to the skies, and our magic ballista will be primed to unleash devastation upon our foes. Senator Brutus may have underestimated our strength, but he will soon learn the folly of his actions."

With his commanders mobilizing the troops and preparing the defenses, Duke Oenotrus knew that the fate of Colobria City and Province hung in the balance. Nevertheless, he was determined to stand firm against tyranny and defend his city and people with every ounce. The battle ahead would be fierce and perilous, but he would not waver in his duty to Emperor Aurelius and the Fortisregnum Empire. Victory would be theirs, no matter the cost. However, he does not know that Senator Brutus will unleash magic muskets, cannons, and majestic dragons against him because the order does not detail the composition of Senator Brutus' troops.

Duke Oenotrus was surprised by how Emperor Aurelius knew about the attack of Senator Brutus and that he could send orders from Aeterna City that 1100 km fast. He thought the new mighty ally nation, the United Terran, intervened in this civil war and hoped they could get Emperor Aurelius to finish it as fast as possible to reduce the casualties and damage to the nation and people. Duke Oenotrus knew about United Terran and their construction project in Aeterna City. He hopes United Terran will also construct modern facilities and infrastructure in Colobria City. Now, he must prepare to attack Senator Brutus's army and defend the people of Colobria. He also calls King Marcellus, his younger brother, to help him against Senator Brutus, but the reinforcement will arrive in two weeks because of the range.

Military Field, Colobria City, 21 March 2141/ 21 Martius 1841, 08:00 am

Duke Oenotrus and Commander Leonidas stepped onto the training grounds where rows of infantry stood at attention, their armor gleaming in the sunlight. The Duke's eyes scanned the disciplined ranks, his expression grave yet determined.

"Commander Leonidas, our infantry must be prepared for the coming battle. Ensure they are well-equipped and well-trained. Their courage and steadfastness will be our shield against the enemy's onslaught," Duke Oenotrus commanded, his voice carrying the weight of authority.

"As you command, my lord. I will personally oversee their training and ensure they are ready to defend Colobria City with their lives if necessary," Commander Leonidas replied with a crisp salute, his demeanor reflecting the same determination as his lord's.

Moving to the following training grounds area, Duke Oenotrus and Commander Callisto approached the stables where the cavalry was being readied for action. Hoofbeats echoed as the majestic steeds were groomed and saddled for battle.

"Our cavalry will play a crucial role in the defense of Colobria City. They must be swift and agile, able to outmaneuver the enemy and strike where they are least expected," Duke Oenotrus stated, his gaze lingering on the mighty beasts.

Commander Callisto nodded in agreement, his eyes reflecting the same determination as his lord's. "Indeed, my lord. Our cavalry will be the vanguard of our defense, riding forth to meet the enemy with strength and courage."

Moving on to the next area, Duke Oenotrus and his commanders approached the magic ballista emplacements, where crews loaded enchanted bolts into the massive siege weapons.

"Our magic ballista will rain down destruction upon the enemy, tearing through their ranks with arcane fury. Ensure they are manned by our most skilled marksmen and enchanters," Duke Oenotrus ordered, his voice resonating with authority.

Commander Callisto nodded, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "The enemy will soon learn the folly of underestimating our magical prowess. Our magic ballista will be their undoing."

Finally, Duke Oenotrus and his commanders made their way to the royal wyvern nest, where the majestic creatures were being prepared for battle. The air was filled with their mighty roars as they stretched their wings and tested their claws.

"Our wyverns will be our eyes in the sky, scouting the enemy's movements and striking fear into their hearts. Ensure they are well-fed and well-rested, for they will be our greatest asset in the coming battle," Duke Oenotrus declared, his voice echoing with authority.

Commander Callisto nodded, his gaze fixed on the magnificent creatures. "Our wyverns will soar above the battlefield, striking fear into the hearts of our enemies. They will be unstoppable."

With preparations complete and their forces ready for battle, Duke Oenotrus knew that the fate of Colobria City and Province rested in their hands. The coming days would be filled with bloodshed and sacrifice, but he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Victory would be theirs, no matter the cost.

Unknown to Duke Oenotrus and his commander, intelligence agents from Black Shadow monitor their military activity and tell their leaders about the true power and composition of Duke Oenotrus's army. However, these intelligence agents will fight the native agents of UT ISIA in counterintelligence missions. Unlike actual UT ISIA operatives, native agents still lack actual battle and field experience. They cannot maximize the utilization of modern weapons, so their efficiency in counterintelligence missions is not maximal.

Why are there no actual agents of UT ISIA around Colobria? Because they are focused only on the area around Aeterna City and strategic infrastructure locations. Outside Aeterna City, they utilized trained native agents from formerly enslaved persons and loyalists of Emperor Aurelius. Because of a lack of performance and efficiency of the native agents, Black Shadow operatives still pass the counterintelligence net of native agents, and the information about the Colobria army is leaked. This flaw will be corrected after the civil war, and the native agent will undergo similar training to the actual UT ISIA training program.

50 km from Colobria City, Slavery Faction Army Main Camp, 22 March 2141/ 22 Martius 1841, 05:00 pm

During the march to Colobria City, the Slavery faction army was challenged by the native operatives of UT ISIA. The native agents land the magic land mines to damage the infantry, cavalry, and magic cannons. They learn from actual UT ISIA operatives to utilize fire magic powder as a source of explosives for land mines. These land mines proved effective against the infantry and cavalry, especially for heavy armored troops, because the explosion and heat could transfer through metal and significantly impact the body.

As the Slavery Faction Army continued its march towards Colobria City, they encountered unexpected obstacles. Native agents from UT ISIA had laid land mines along the roads strategically positioned to inflict maximum damage on the advancing troops. These mines, infused with potent magical energy and modern 21st-century explosives, posed a grave threat to Senator Brutus's army's infantry, cavalry, and even the magic cannons.

As the first detonations echoed across the landscape, chaos erupted within the ranks of the Slavery Faction Army. Soldiers were thrown into disarray as explosions tore through their formations, shredding armor and flesh alike. The deafening blasts reverberated through the air, leaving behind a scene of devastation and carnage.

Senator Brutus and the leaders of Black Shadow, Mr. 0, Mr. 01, and Mr. 02, were enraged by the unexpected assault. Their meticulously planned campaign had been thrown into disarray by these unforeseen tactics. They knew they had to act swiftly to neutralize this threat before it could further damage their forces.

The atmosphere inside the command tent was tense. Maps were spread across a large table, marked with the locations of recent explosions and suspected enemy positions. Senator Brutus stood at the head of the table, his face set in a deep scowl. Mr. 0, Mr. 01, and Mr. 02, the enigmatic leaders of Black Shadow, stood around him, each expressing frustration and determination.

"This is unacceptable! How did we let ourselves be caught off guard like this? These land mines have already cost us too many troops. We need a solution, and we need it now. "Senator Brutus slamming his fist on the table and angry about the ambush from the enemy.

"Senator, the enemy operatives have proven to be more resourceful than we anticipated. They use advanced explosives combined with magic, making their traps highly effective. We assume that these operatives are from the United Terran. But rest assured, we are adapting." Mr. 0 was calm and composed, assuming the ambush from United Terran operatives.

Our operatives, Schwarzer Schatten, are already on the move. They are experts in counter-espionage and stealth. We will locate these agents and neutralize them. However, we need to be patient. These enemy operatives know the terrain far better than our troops." Mr. 01 also responded about the condition and was ready to dispatch Schwarzer Schatten, operatives from the Black Shadow.

"We must also adjust our tactics. Our current formations are too predictable. The enemy exploits this by placing mines in key positions along our route. We should consider changing our approach routes and vary our marching patterns." Mr. 02 responded about the tactics to prevent another ambush from the enemy.

"Very well. What do you propose, Mr. 02? I hope we can minimize the casualties before we fight Duke Oenortus's army." Senator Brutus asked Mr. 02

" We can split our forces into smaller, more agile units, making it harder for the enemy to predict our movements. Additionally, we can use decoys to draw out their attacks, allowing our main force to advance with less risk." Mr. 02 explained the adaptive tactics against the enemy ambush.

"Mr. 02, I suggest we deploy your magic users and our engineers to counter their land mines. We can significantly reduce our casualties if we can detect and disarm these traps before they detonate. Do you have a few skilled magic users who can sense the magical energy within these mines?" Mr. 0 suggests using magic users and engineers to detect and repel the land mines from the native agents.

"If their land mines have magic powder as composition, we could detect them. All right, i will dispatch the wizards to detect enemy land mines. I hope your engineers can repel the detected land mines." Mr. 02 responds.

"I agree with your idea, Mr. 0 and Mr. 02. What about our logistics? We can't afford to lose more supply lines to these attacks." Senator Brutus asked about the threat of enemy operatives to the logistics of the slavery faction army.

"We will increase patrols and establish more secure checkpoints along our routes. Schwarzer Schatten units will take care of this mission. Additionally, we can use magical wards from wizards to protect our supply lines from being targeted. These wards can alert us to tampering or the presence of enemy agents." Mr. 01 explained the strategy to defend the supply lines from the enemy raids and ambushes.

"This setback has cost us dearly, but we cannot let it derail our campaign. Colobria City must fall. I expect results, and I expect them soon." Senator Brutus was angry and determined to capture Colobria City.

"You have our word, Senator. We will not rest until these enemy agents are eliminated and our path to Colobria City is clear." Mr. 01 responds

"We will implement these changes immediately. Our troops need to be informed and prepared for these new tactics." Mr. 02 responds.

"Then let's get to it. The longer we delay, the stronger the enemy becomes. Move out!" Senator Brutus orders the leader of Black Shadow to take action against the native agents of UT ISIA.

The leaders dispersed to relay the new orders and adapt their strategies, determined to overcome the cunning tactics of the native agents of UT ISIA. The march towards Colobria City resumed with renewed vigilance, the soldiers moving with caution and resolve.

Immediately, orders were issued to Black Shadow operatives Schwarzer Schatten to hunt down and eliminate the unknown agents responsible for the attacks. These highly trained operatives, equipped with modern weaponry and stealth tactics, set out into the surrounding terrain, determined to root out the enemy infiltrators.

Meanwhile, Senator Brutus and his commanders devised a counter-strategy to mitigate the impact of the unknown agents' attacks. They ordered their troops to proceed cautiously, deploying scouts and reconnaissance units to sweep the roads ahead for any signs of danger. Additionally, they bolstered their logistical routes with extra security measures, including increased patrols and surveillance.

Despite their efforts, the native agents of UT ISIA proved to be elusive adversaries, striking swiftly and melting back into the shadows before being caught. Their knowledge of the terrain and their resourcefulness in utilizing advanced modern weapons made them formidable foes, even against the well-equipped forces of Senator Brutus and Black Shadow.

As the cat-and-mouse game between the native agents and Black Shadow operatives intensified, the stakes grew higher. The fate of Colobria City hung in the balance, and both sides were willing to go to any lengths to emerge victorious in this deadly game of espionage and sabotage.

Road to Colobria City, 22 March 2141/ 22 Martius 1841, 11:00 pm

As the night rose to cover the world with darkness, casting long shadows across the rugged terrain, the deadly dance between the native agents of UT ISIA and the Black Shadow operatives intensified. Armed with silenced SIG MCX and H&K MP5s, the native agents moved with fluid precision, their movements masked by the cover of darkness. They were masters of stealth, blending seamlessly into the environment as they stalked their prey.

Meanwhile, the Black Shadow operatives, equipped with silenced magic muskets, Volkssturmgewehrs, and AS-74s, remained vigilant, their senses heightened as they scanned the surrounding landscape for any movement. Trained to operate in the most hostile environments, they were a formidable force, their every movement calculated and precise.

Amidst the chaos of the firefight, the native agents of UT ISIA maintained clear and concise communication, their voices barely above a whisper as they coordinated their movements and exchanged vital information.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Alpha team, advance on the left flank. Keep them pinned down while the Bravo team flanks from the right," murmured the team leader, his voice tinged with urgency as he relayed orders to his squad.

"Copy that, moving into position now," came the swift response from the Alpha team as they adjusted their trajectory, moving with silent efficiency through the cover of the night.

"Bravo team, be ready to engage on my mark. We will hit them from both sides," the team leader continued, his eyes scanning the battlefield for any sign of the enemy's movements.

As the native agents closed in on their targets, they maintained a constant communication stream, alerting each other to enemy positions and coordinating their attacks with deadly precision.

"Enemy spotted, three o'clock, behind the rock formation," whispered one of the agents, his voice barely audible over the crackle of gunfire.

"Roger that, engaging now," came the immediate response as another agent lined up his sights. With his silenced SIG MCX, he unleashed a barrage of suppressive fire to keep the Black Shadow operatives pinned down.

Even in the heat of battle, the native agents remained calm and composed. Their disciplined training allowed them to adapt to rapidly changing situations and make split-second decisions.

"Taking fire, need support!" came a desperate cry from one of the agents as enemy bullets whizzed past dangerously close.

"Hold tight. Delta team is moving in to provide cover fire," reassured the team leader, his voice steady despite the intensity of the firefight.

"Man down! Man down! Four of our team got shot by the enemy. Request fire assistance and medic." One of the team reported that their comrade got shot by the enemy's assault rifle.

"Hold tight, prioritize to eliminate the enemy first. Medic, check the casualties after the condition is secured." The leader gives the command to neutralize the enemy.

Even though they suffered some casualties from the enemy operative, through sheer determination and unwavering teamwork, the native agents of UT ISIA pressed on, their communication and coordination proving invaluable assets in the deadly game of cat and mouse with the Black Shadow operatives.

As the native agents of UT ISIA launched their ambush, chaos erupted among the ranks of Schwarzer Schatten, the German-named unit of Black Shadow operatives. Caught off guard by the sudden onslaught, the operatives scrambled for cover, their training kicking in as they sought to assess the situation and formulate a response.

"Gehen Sie in Deckung! (Get to cover!)" shouted the unit leader, his voice edged with urgency as he directed his team to take shelter from the incoming fire.

"Feindkontakt! Rückkehrfeuer! (Enemy contact! Return fire!)" yelled another operative, his voice strained from shouting over the din of battle.

Despite their efforts to retaliate, the Schwarzer Schatten operatives found themselves at a disadvantage, their carefully laid plans disrupted by the unexpected ambush.

"Schwarz eins, zwei, und drei, geben Sie ihnen Deckung! (Black one, two, and three, give them cover!)" commanded the unit leader, his voice firm as he directed specific operatives to lay down suppressing fire.

The air crackled with the discharge of silenced weapons as the operatives unleashed a volley of shots from their magic muskets, STGs, and AS-74s to regain control of the situation. However, the native agents' superior positioning, modern weapons, and swift execution left little room for the Schwarzer Schatten operatives to mount an effective counterattack.

"Wir müssen uns bewegen! Wir können hier nicht feststecken bleiben! (We need to move! We cannot stay pinned down here!)" shouted the unit leader, his voice tinged with frustration as he realized the gravity of their predicament.

Despite their best efforts, the Schwarzer Schatten operatives struggled to coordinate their movements amidst the chaos of battle. Bullets whizzed past dangerously close, finding their marks with alarming accuracy as the native agents maintained their relentless assault.

"Verdammt noch mal! (Dammit!)" cursed one of the operatives, his voice thick with frustration as he attempted to return fire from behind cover.

As the firefight raged on, communication among the Schwarzer Schatten operatives became increasingly fragmented. Their adversaries' swift and deadly tactics thwarted their attempts to regroup and mount a coordinated response.

As the native agents of UT ISIA pressed their assault, the Schwarzer Schatten operatives found themselves forced into a tactical retreat, their ranks decimated by the relentless barrage of enemy fire. Despite their best efforts to hold their ground, the overwhelming firepower and precision of the native agents proved too much to withstand.

"Rückzug! Rückzug! (Retreat! Retreat!)" shouted the unit leader, his voice tinged with urgency as he signaled for his team to fall back from the advancing enemy.

Amidst the chaos of battle, the native agent leader rallied his team, his voice ringing above the cacophony of gunfire and shouts.

"Forward, my brothers! Show no mercy to these foes! Show to this bastard from Weltenkraft Reich who supports the slavery faction. Show them the power of freedom and modern weapons." He exclaimed, his words fueling the determination of his comrades as they pressed the attack with renewed vigor.

The native agents surged forward, their movements swift and coordinated as they closed in on the retreating Schwarzer Schatten operatives. Bullets whizzed through the air, finding their marks with deadly accuracy as the operatives fought desperately to fend off their relentless assailants.

"For Fortisregnum Empire! For our homeland!" shouted one of the native agents, his voice filled with fervor as he unleashed a volley of shots at the retreating enemy.

Despite the heavy casualties inflicted upon the Schwarzer Schatten operatives, the native agents knew that victory was within their grasp. With each passing moment, they pressed their advantage, their determination unyielding as they sought to drive the enemy from the battlefield and secure a decisive triumph for Emperor Aurelius and the Fortisregnum Empire.

As the firefight raged on, the native agents fought with a ferocity born of conviction, their resolve unwavering as they pursued their fleeing adversaries. Though the battle was far from over, they knew that they had dealt a significant blow to the enemy, and they were determined to see their mission through to its victorious conclusion.

As the Schwarzer Schatten operatives retreated from the battlefield, their ranks decimated by the relentless assault of the native agents, they scrambled for cover, their movements frantic as they sought to evade the deadly barrage of enemy fire.

"Zurückziehen! Wir müssen hier raus! (Retreat! We need to get out of here!)." shouted the unit leader, his voice strained with urgency as he rallied his remaining troops.

"Wir werden überrannt! (We are being overrun!)" yelled another operative, panic evident in his tone as he fired off rounds in a desperate attempt to cover their withdrawal.

Despite their best efforts to regroup and mount a defense, the Schwarzer Schatten operatives found themselves overwhelmed by their adversaries' superior firepower and coordinated tactics.

"Verdammt noch mal, sie sind überall! (Damn it, they are everywhere!)" One of the operatives cursed the enemy, and his voice was filled with frustration as he ducked behind a rocky outcrop for cover.

Bullets whizzed past, striking the ground perilously close as the operatives scrambled to find a way out of the kill zone.

"Wir müssen einen Ausweg finden! (We need to find a way out!)" shouted the unit leader, his voice echoing with determination even as the situation grew increasingly dire.

With their ranks thinned and their morale flagging, the Schwarzer Schatten operatives knew that they had to retreat or face certain annihilation.

"Fallen Sie zurück! Geben Sie Feuerschutz! (Fall back! Provide covering fire!)" the unit leader commanded his subordinates to retreat, his voice cutting through the chaos as he directed his remaining troops to cover their retreat.

Despite the heavy toll on them, the operatives fought on, their resolve unbroken even in the face of overwhelming odds.

"Für Schwarzer Schatten! (For Black Shadow!)" Shouted one of the operatives, his voice a defiant cry as he continued to fire upon the advancing enemy.

With each step backward, the Schwarzer Schatten operatives fought tooth and nail to hold their ground, their determination unwavering even as the native agents closed in on all sides. Even though they retreated, several operatives found the unknown weapons used by the native agents dropped by the dead agents. They tried to take the weapons and return them to their fatherland.

However, as the relentless assault of the native agents bore down upon them, the Schwarzer Schatten operatives knew that they could not hold out much longer. With heavy hearts and grim determination, they continued their retreat, their minds already turning to regrouping and planning their next move in this deadly game of cat and mouse.

After engaging the Schwarzer Schatten operatives, native agents of UT ISIA retreated before the slavery faction's main army arrived at the battle location. Despite their lack of experience and training compared to the seasoned Black Shadow operatives, the native agents fought fiercely, and their knowledge of the terrain gave them a proven advantage. They darted between cover, their movements swift and elusive as they sought to evade the enemy's main army detection. Before retreating, they retrieve the fallen body of their comrade.

Unfortunately for them, the MP5 and MCX are lost from the fallen comrade. They assume the retreated Schwarzer Schatten operatives take those weapons while retreated. Even though they had a successful mission, they suffered casualties and lost modern weapons from the United Terran. They are more afraid that they will get punishment from UT ISIA because they lost the modern weapons than lost their comrade. However, Johnny Bean, the leader of the mission of UT ISIA, does not care about the loss of weapons from native agents as long as they succeed in their mission. They understand that native agents trained for five months will not be efficient enough to utilize modern weapons and equipment. However, they were proud that free enslaved people could be proven to withstand the seasoned hyperpower and superpower operatives. Finally, the native agents retreated from the battlefield and used darkness to return to their base.

10 km from Colobria City, Slavery Faction Army Main Camp, 23 March 2141/ 23 Martius 1841, 08:00 am

In the morning, Senator Brutus and the leadership of Black Shadow found the body of Schwarzer Schatten operatives. At the same time, the survivor reports that enemy agents utilized modern weapons similar to state-of-the-art SMG from Weltenkraft Reich, Maschinenpistole 30 (MP 30), and the United States of Amarilon magic assault rifle. Fortunately for them, the survivor successfully takes the H&K MP5 and SIG Sauer MCX from the body of unfortunate native agents.

These weapons perform better than the current Weltenkraft Reich and the People's Republic of Uroslav modern SMG and Assault Rifle. This performance is because the current MP5 and MCX utilize nanomaterial for the body and ammo to improve the quality and performance of the standard MP5 and MCX without nanomaterials. Mr. 0 and Mr. 01 think that these weapons are the standard modern weapons of United Terran operatives. After knowing they got advanced modern weapons from United Terran, they asked Senator Brutus to return to their motherland and fatherland to give the weapons to the military research department to reverse engineering MP5 and MCX to upgrade their modern infantry weapons. From this research, Weltenkraft Reich and the People's Republic of Uroslav will produce their SMG and Assault rifles more advanced than standard MP5 and MCX in the future. Weltenkraft Reich and the People's Republic of Uroslav will learn and enter the nanotechnology era by learning and reverse engineering these weapons.

Because Mr. 0 and Mr. 01 had already given their modern weapons, equipment, main battle tanks, and aircraft to the slavery faction, Senator Brutus approved their return and took off the MP5 and MCX. Then Senator Brutus, Mr. 02, and the rest of the slavery faction's main army marched to Colobria City. They rested the majestic dragons and their rider before acting against Duke Oenotrus's wyvern army.

Several hours later, the two main armies are facing each other. Initially, the Slavery faction army was split into three forces. However, because of the native agent's performance in the raid of logistic support and ambush of the army with land mines, they abandoned this strategy. They planned to defeat Duke Oenotrus's army with a decisive victory.

The two forces of the slavery faction and Duke Oenotrus faced each other with their mighty armies. Before the battle, Duke Oenotrus asked Senator Brutus why he initiated the Civil War.

Duke Oenotrus regarded Senator Brutus with a mix of curiosity and disdain, his piercing gaze narrowing as he awaited the senator's response.

"Senator Brutus. Your decision to plunge our Empire into civil war puzzles me. Why would you take such drastic measures, risking the stability and prosperity of Fortisregnum?" Duke Oenotrus began the question to Senator Brutus, and his voice carried the weight of authority earned through years of command.

Senator Brutus stood tall, his demeanor unwavering despite the tension thick in the air.

"Duke Oenotrus, I understand your concerns, but our Empire's essence is at stake. Emperor Aurelius's actions, or lack thereof, have driven us to this point." He replied evenly to Duke Oenotrus's question.

The senator's words hung heavy, the gravity of his accusations not lost on the seasoned military leader before him. Duke Oenotrus listened intently as Senator Brutus continued, each word measured and deliberate.

"Emperor Aurelius's abolition of slavery within our Empire was a grave mistake. Slavery has been a cornerstone of Fortisregnum's strength and prosperity for centuries. He has weakened us by dismantling it, leaving us vulnerable to outside threats. You know that slavery has become a lucrative business in our Empire and the world. Why, His Majesty, abolish this action as the requirement to bow to the alien nation, United Terran?" Senator Brutus response.

A hint of indignation crept into Senator Brutus's voice as he spoke of the Emperor's perceived betrayal. "And what of his subservience to the United Terran?" he questioned pointedly. "To see our proud Empire reduced to a mere vassal state, bowing to the whims of foreign powers—it is a disgrace! The United Terran will exploit our resources, both natural and human, for their gain. Is that not akin to slavery, Duke Oenotrus?" Senator Brutus continues to argue with Duke Oenotrus.

Duke Oenotrus's expression remained stoic, though the senator's words struck a chord within him. He had long been loyal to the Empire but could not deny the truth in Senator Brutus's accusations. "I understand your concerns, Senator," he finally conceded, his tone somber. "But is civil war truly the answer? Can we not find a way to address these grievances without tearing our Empire apart?"

Senator Brutus's gaze softened slightly, a hint of regret flickering. "I wish it were so, Duke Oenotrus," he admitted, his voice tinged with resignation. "But Emperor Aurelius's actions leave us with little choice. We must stand against him for the sake of our Empire and its future."

Duke Oenotrus's brow furrowed in contemplation as he processed Senator Brutus's impassioned explanation.

"Senator Brutus. I understand your concerns regarding preserving our Empire's traditions and autonomy. Nevertheless, consider this: in this day and age, where even hyperpower nations like the United States of Amarilon and the People's Republic of Uroslav have abolished slavery, what modern nation would condone such practices?" Duke Oenotrus began to ask again, and his tone measured yet inquisitive,

He paused, allowing his words to sink in before continuing. "We must not underestimate the influence and power of nations like the United Terran. How would you respond if they were to intervene on behalf of Emperor Aurelius, citing humanitarian reasons or concerns for stability? How can we justify our cause in the face of global condemnation?" Duke Oenotrus reminds Senator Brutus about the potential of the United Terran intervention in this civil war.

Senator Brutus listened intently, his expression grave as he weighed Duke Oenotrus's questions. After thoughtful consideration, he met the Duke's gaze with unwavering resolve. "Duke Oenotrus. I understand the challenges that lie ahead. However, we cannot allow the fear of retaliation to deter us from our cause. Our fight is not just about preserving slavery but about safeguarding our sovereignty and protecting our people's way of life." Senator Brutus replied solemnly about the slavery practice becoming the way of life of the Fortisregnum Empire people.

He paused, his voice tinged with determination. "If the world's modern nations choose to intervene, we must be prepared to defend ourselves. We will not bow to outside pressure or compromise our principles to appease foreign powers. Our cause is great, and we will see it through to the end, whatever the cost. We also have modern power, Black Shadow, to help us against the United Terran if they try intervening in this civil war."

Duke Oenotrus nodded slowly, acknowledging the senator's resolve even as he harbored his doubts about the path they were embarking upon and how civil war is inevitable. "Very well, Senator Brutus," he conceded, his voice tinged with resignation. "May the gods grant us strength and wisdom in the coming days. For it seems that the fate of Fortisregnum Empire hangs in the balance, and the consequences of our actions will echo through history."

The two men locked eyes momentarily, the weight of their respective positions pressing down upon them. In that fleeting silence, the inevitability of conflict hung heavy in the air, casting a shadow over the once-united realm of Fortisregnum. Then, the battle of Colobria has just begun.

Battlefield of Colobria, 23 March 2141/ 23 Martius 1841, 11:00 am

First, the Slavery faction army rained the Colobria army with arrows reinforced with magic. To prevent the damage, Colobria elite legionnaires conduct Testudo formation to protect them from the arrow's attack. Thanks to reinforced magic, the arrow could penetrate the shield of Colobria's elite legionnaires and damage them. Under the rain of arrows, Colobria legionnaires move forward, ready to engage the slavery faction infantry.

With a steely gaze, Duke Oenotrus, positioned strategically at the rear of the Colobria forces, surveyed the unfolding chaos.

"Archers! Prepare to counter their barrage. Reinforce your arrows with magic and aim for their infantry!" Duke Oenotrus bellowed, his voice cutting through the clamor of battle.

At his command, the Colobria archers swiftly notched their arrows, each infused with potent enchantments to amplify their destructive power. With practiced precision, they drew back their bows, and eyes narrowed in focus as they aimed the advancing ranks of the Slavery faction infantry.

Meanwhile, on the front lines, the elite legionnaires of Colobria, led by their seasoned commanders, braced themselves against the onslaught of enchanted arrows. "Form Testudo!" shouted Captain Varian, his voice ringing amidst the chaos. "Shields up! Protect your comrades!"

Responding to their commander's call, the legionnaires swiftly fell into formation, their shields interlocking to create an impenetrable barrier against the raining arrows. Nevertheless, despite their disciplined defense, the dark magic infused within the enemy's projectiles proved formidable, piercing through their ranks and inflicting injuries upon the elite soldiers of Colobria.

Undeterred by the assault, the legionnaires pressed forward, their determination unwavering as they closed the distance with the Slavery faction infantry. "Advance, my comrade! For Colobria! For freedom! For the Emperor! Annihilate this barbaric slavery faction." bellowed Lieutenant Publius, his voice carrying over the din of battle.

Meanwhile, amid the melee, Duke Oenotrus observed the unfolding skirmish with a keen eye. Seeing an opportunity to turn the tide, he issued a new directive to his archers. "Focus your fire on their infantry!" he commanded, his tone resolute. "Drive them back and give our legionnaires room to maneuver!"

With renewed determination, the Colobria archers adjusted their aim, unleashing another volley of enchanted arrows upon the ranks of the Slavery faction infantry. The projectiles found their mark amidst the enemy ranks, wreaking havoc and sowing confusion among their lines.

As the battle raged on, the commanders of Colobria fought with cunning and valor, orchestrating their forces with precision in a relentless pursuit of victory.

From his vantage point on the battlefield, Duke Oenotrus observed the clash between the Colobria elite legionnaires and the Slavery faction infantry with a calculated intensity. As the tide of battle began to turn in favor of his forces, he seized the opportunity to exploit the enemy's weakened position.

"Commander Leonidas, Prepare the cavalry teams. We will strike when the elite legionnaires push back the enemy infantry. Be ready to shock them with a decisive charge." Duke Oenotrus orders Commander Leonidas to prepare the cavalry units, his voice ringing across the field.

With swift efficiency, the cavalry teams readied themselves for the impending assault, their horses pawing at the ground impatiently as they awaited their orders.

Meanwhile, amidst the chaos of battle, the Colobria elite legionnaires surged forward with renewed vigor, their mighty swords flashing in the sunlight as they engaged the Slavery faction infantry in fierce combat. Encased in formidable armor, they proved to be an unstoppable force, pushing back their adversaries with each resolute strike.

As the minutes passed and the enemy infantry faltered under the relentless assault of the elite legionnaires, Duke Oenotrus saw his opportunity to strike. "Commander Leonidas, send our cavalry units now! Cavalry, charge! Break their lines and scatter their ranks!" Duke Oenotrus orders Commander Leonidas, his voice cutting through the clamor of battle.

With a thunderous roar, the cavalry teams surged forward, their hooves pounding against the earth as they unleashed a devastating charge upon the disarrayed forces of the Slavery faction. Caught off guard by the sudden onslaught, the enemy infantry faltered, their ranks thrown into disarray as they struggled to withstand the ferocious assault.

Amidst the chaos of battle, Duke Oenotrus watched with grim satisfaction as his carefully laid plans unfolded before him. With the elite legionnaires' combined might and his cavalry's swift strike, victory seemed within reach. Nevertheless, even as the tide turned in favor of Colobria, he knew the battle was far from over.

Despite the advantageous condition of the battle, Duke Oenotrus feels odd about why Senator Brutus only sends arrows and infantry to engage his elite legionnaires. He thinks Senator Brutus will hide another army behind the hill and ambush the elite legionnaires and his cavalry. Duke Oenotrus then orders commanders Callisto and Leonidas to send wyvern corps and cavalry to engage the pushed enemy infantry.

"Commander Callisto, send our wyvern corps. I think they will ambush our army behind the hill. Remember to use the wyvern to air cover the ground troops from enemy wyverns and tell us if the enemy set the ambush. Also, prepare the magic ballista in case their wyvern attacks us. Commander Leonidas, make sure that cavalry will hunt down enemy infantry who retreated from the battlefield." Duke Oenotrus orders to Commander Callisto and Leonidas.

"Yes, my Lord. Engage the enemy." Commander Callisto and Leonidas response.

After several minutes of fighting, the sound of the slavery faction makes the infantry retreat to the back of the hills. After seeing the enemy retreat, the cavalry was ready to engage and cut down the enemy infantry. Wyvern Corps is ready to take off from the main camp and fly to destroy the enemy who will try to ambush in the back of the hills. During the pursuit, Colobria cavalry could cut down the enemy who tried to feign retreat before being ambushed by the enemy. The cavalry could activate their magic to reinforce their defense if the enemy ambushes with archers or javelins. So, before pursuit until the back of the hills, the cavalry had already activated its magic defense.

The cavalry pursues the retreating enemy with haste, and their precision strikes the enemy while the wyvern corps will cover them from the sky. However, something ambushed them, neither archers nor javelins, but one hundred and fifty strong magic muskets with their line formation. Suddenly, the mighty roar of majestic dragons inflicts fear on the cavalry units and wyvern corps and drops their morale. The tide of battle is turning against the Colobria army.

As the Colobria cavalry surged forward in pursuit of the retreating enemy, their confidence bolstered by the initial success, they were suddenly caught off guard by the unexpected ambush. The thunderous boom of magic muskets echoed across the battlefield, catching the cavalry in a deadly crossfire.

The musket-wielding soldiers of the slavery faction stood in disciplined lines, their weapons empowered by arcane forces and fire magic powder, tearing through the Colobria cavalry ranks with devastating damage. Each shot found its mark, piercing through armor and flesh, causing chaos and panic among the cavalry units. Even though the accuracy of the musket is lower than that of modern rifles, line tactics could improve accuracy and hit chance. Because of the massive size of Colobria cavalry, the hit chance of the magic musket is high and inflicts tremendous damage and fear on the cavalry units.

Meanwhile, the sky darkened as the majestic dragons of the slavery faction swooped down from above, their massive forms casting ominous shadows over the battlefield. The mere sight of these fearsome creatures struck terror into the hearts of the Colobria soldiers and wyvern riders alike, their morale plummeting as they realized the magnitude of the threat they faced.

Duke Oenotrus, watching from the rear lines, quickly assessed the dire situation unfolding before him. With the tide of battle turning against his forces, he knew decisive action was needed to regain control.

"Commander Callisto, Commander Leonidas," Duke Oenotrus shouted over the din of battle, "we must rally our forces and counter this unexpected assault! Call upon our magic ballista battalion to unleash the most powerful magic bolts upon the enemy musketeers and dragons. We cannot allow them to maintain their advantage for long! Damn, how Imperio Estelar's magic muskets and majestic dragons support the slavery faction. Does Senator Brutus get supported by Imperio Estelar?"

The Colobria magic ballista battalion, trained in their arcane arts and engineering, began reloading the magic ballista with magic bolts reinforced with fire magic powder. After reloading the magic bolts, the magic engineers released them against enemy musketeers and tried to shoot down the majestic dragons. Fire magic erupted from the magic bolts, streaking across the battlefield to engulf the enemy in flames.

However, in the long-range, magic ballista accuracy is lower than modern artillery, and the hit chance is low. This action did not damage the enemy significantly because the magic ballista usually breached the city walls. They also try to shoot down the majestic dragons. However, the high altitude and gravitation effect will decrease the accuracy of the magic ballista. The engineers hardly shoot down the majestic dragons. Even if they could do it accurately and shoot the dragons, it would not be effective. Magic bolts cannot penetrate the thick scale of majestic dragons.

Meanwhile, Commander Callisto swiftly organized a defensive formation, ordering his wyvern riders to regroup and provide aerial support for the beleaguered cavalry below. The wyverns unleashed torrents of fire upon the enemy ranks, scattering their formations and buying precious time for the Colobria forces to recover.

Amidst the chaos, Duke Oenotrus rode out to the front lines, serving as a beacon of hope for his soldiers. Drawing his sword, he led a daring charge against the enemy musketeers, his elite legionnaires rallying to his side as they cut through the slavery faction's ranks with unmatched ferocity.

The battle raged on, each side desperately struggling for supremacy. However, with Duke Oenotrus at the helm and the combined might of Colobria's elite forces, there was still hope for victory amidst the chaos of war.

As the battle raged on, Duke Oenotrus faced an increasingly dire situation. The unexpected ambush by the Slavery faction had thrown the Colobria army into disarray, and now, with the activation of the magic array, their predicament grew even more perilous.

The pillar of the magic array materialized amidst the Colobria elite legionnaires and cavalry, its ominous presence casting a pall of confusion and fear over their ranks. Duke Oenotrus gritted his teeth, his mind racing to formulate a plan to counter this new threat.

"Stand firm, soldiers of Colobria!" he called out, his voice ringing with authority. "Do not falter in the face of these dark arts! Remember your training and hold fast!"

Despite the chaos around them, Duke Oenotrus rallied his troops, instilling in them a sense of resolve and determination to resist the effects of the magic array. He knew that fear and confusion could be as deadly as any physical weapon on the battlefield, and he was determined to prevent it from taking hold within his ranks.

Meanwhile, as the Slavery faction's array of cultivators activated their magic, the sword cultivators joined the fray, their spiritual swords cutting through the elite legionnaires under the arrays' influence. The Colobria soldiers, weakened by their lack of magic power to resist the array's effects, faced a relentless onslaught from both physical and mystical forces.

In the front lines, the magic musketeers unleashed a devastating volley upon the Colobria cavalry units, their enchanted bullets tearing through armor and flesh with deadly accuracy. Despite the cavalry's best efforts to defend themselves, the sheer firepower of the musketeers proved overwhelming, and the once-mighty mounted units began to crumble under the onslaught.

Seeing his forces falter under the combined assault of the Slavery faction's array and sword cultivators, Duke Oenotrus knew decisive action was needed to turn the tide again. Drawing upon his courage and determination, he spurred his elite legionnaires into action, leading a bold charge against the enemy's array of cultivators.

"Forward, brave soldiers of Colobria!" he shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos of battle. "These dark arts shall not sway us! Strike down the enemy array cultivators and break their hold over us!"

With a resounding battle cry, Duke Oenotrus and his elite legionnaires surged forward, their swords flashing in the sunlight as they clashed with the Slavery faction's array of cultivators. Despite the formidable defenses the enemy erected, the Colobria soldiers fought with unmatched valor and determination, their blades cutting through the mystical barriers with unwavering resolve.

Slavery Faction Main Camp, Battlefield of Colobria, 23 March 2141/ 23 Martius 1841, 00:10 pm

As the battle reached its critical juncture, Mr. 02, the leader of the Black Shadow from Imperio Estelar, and Mrs. Saturday, leader of the Black Shadow from Tianlong Empire, unleashed their devastating forces upon the Colobria army, further tipping the scales in favor of the Slavery faction.

High above the chaos of the battlefield, Mr. 02, the leader of the Black Shadow from Imperio Estelar, surveyed the unfolding carnage with a cold, calculating gaze. From his vantage point atop a towering spire, he commanded his elite raiders, the fearsome riders of majestic dragons.

"Raiders of the Black Shadow. Unleash the full fury of our majestic dragons upon the Colobria army! Let their flames reduce our enemies to ash, and let their terror fuel our triumph! Shoot down every enemy wyvern and kill their raiders. Remember, take no prisoner and show no mercy." Mr. 02 orders his majestic dragon raiders to annihilate the Colobria Army and shoot down the Colobria wyvern corps.

The raiders, adorned in dark armor and wicked-looking weapons, nodded in grim acknowledgment of their leader's orders. With a series of sharp commands, they spurred their majestic mounts into action, urging them to descend upon the battlefield like avenging angels of death.

High above the battlefield, the majestic dragons, under the command of the Black Shadow's elite raiders, descended with terrifying fury. Their massive forms belched forth torrents of scorching flame, engulfing the Colobria forces below in a blistering inferno. The majestic fire's searing heat and ferocious intensity consumed everything in its path, wreaking havoc and devastation upon the ranks of the elite legionnaires and cavalry alike.

Unequally aerial battle between the slavery faction majestic dragons and Colobria wyvern corps significantly damages Colobria army's side. Majestic dragons could shoot down wyverns with their more robust, majestic fire, while a wyvern's fireball could not affect a majestic dragon's thick skin. After Colobria Wyvern Corps was utterly shot down, the slavery faction achieved aerial superiority conditions. With aerial superiority conditions, majestic dragons could support the ground force closely and annihilate the ground Colobria Army.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the conflict, Mrs. Saturday, the leader of the Black Shadow from the Tianlong Empire, coordinated her array of cultivators with precision and finesse. With a keen understanding of the arcane and spiritual martial arts, she knew how to maximize the effectiveness of her forces to sow chaos and despair among the enemy ranks.

"Array cultivators," Mrs. Saturday's voice echoed with eerie resonance, "fortify our mystical arrays and intensify their effects! Let the darkness within us seep into the hearts of our foes and render them helpless before our might!"

Her cultivators, cloaked in robes adorned with intricate sigils and symbols, nodded in silent understanding. With practiced gestures and incantations, they channeled their dark energies into the mystical arrays, enhancing their potency with each passing moment.

Amidst the chaos, Mrs. Saturday's array cultivators worked tirelessly to reinforce the mystical arrays, amplifying their effects to inflict even more significant mental and psychological damage upon the Colobria army. With their combined efforts, they unleashed waves of dark energy that swept through the battlefield, sowing fear, confusion, and despair among the ranks of the Colobria soldiers.

As the majestic dragons descended with fury and the arrays crackled with dark power, the battlefield trembled beneath the weight of their combined onslaught. The Colobria army, already reeling from the relentless assault, now faced a new and even more formidable threat, one that threatened to crush their spirits and snuff out their hope of victory.

The combination of the majestic fire from the dragons and the psychological onslaught from the reinforced arrays proved devastating for the Colobria army. Caught between the merciless flames and the insidious influence of the mystical arrays, they struggled to maintain their cohesion and morale amidst the relentless assault.

As the Colobria army found themselves besieged on all fronts by the relentless onslaught of the Slavery faction, Senator Brutus, sensing an opportunity to deliver the final blow, issued orders to his cavalry units. With the Colobria elite legionnaires and cavalry weakened and demoralized by the combined assault of the majestic dragons and array cultivators, the Slavery faction cavalry seized their chance to strike.

Led by their seasoned commanders, the Slavery faction cavalry units surged forward ruthlessly, their steeds thundering across the battlefield as they closed in on the beleaguered Colobria forces. Despite being outnumbered and outmatched in skill and training, the Slavery faction cavalry pressed their advantage, exploiting the exhaustion and despair that had taken hold within the ranks of their adversaries.

With swift and decisive strikes, the Slavery faction cavalry cut down the weary and demoralized Colobria elite legionnaires and cavalry units, their blades flashing in the sunlight as they delivered the final blows to their fallen foes. Despite their valiant efforts to resist, the fatigued and demoralized Colobria elite soldiers were overwhelmed by the relentless assault of their adversaries. One by one, they fell beneath the hooves and swords of the Slavery faction cavalry.

Meanwhile, the majestic dragons of the Black Shadow continued to rain fire and destruction upon the battlefield, their scorching flames reducing everything in their path to ash. The combined force of the majestic dragons, array cultivators, and cavalry proved too much for the Colobria army to withstand. Despite their best efforts to rally and resist, they found themselves overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the enemy's onslaught.

As the battle raged on, the once-proud forces of Colobria were driven to the brink of defeat, their ranks decimated, and their morale shattered by the relentless assault of their adversaries. Despite Duke Oenotrus's valiant leadership and the bravery of his soldiers, they could not withstand the combined might of the Slavery faction's forces.

In the end, the Battlefield of Colobria became a scene of utter devastation, with the Slavery faction emerging victorious and the once-mighty Colobria army lying in ruins. As the dust settled and the echoes of battle faded away, Senator Brutus stood triumphant, his forces emerging victorious from the crucible of war. Moreover, amidst the wreckage and carnage of the battlefield, the fate of Colobria was sealed. Its once-great army of Colobria is now consigned to history's annals. This loss had a significant impact on Emperor Aurelius's side because the slavery faction could besiege and conquer Colobria City and Province, which became a food source of Aeterna City.

After the battle, Duke Oenetrus, Commander Leonidas, and Callisto were captured by the elite Black Shadow units. They were brought to Senator Brutus and the Black Shadow main camp.

As Duke Oenotrus stood before Senator Brutus, his gaze unwavering despite the weight of defeat upon his shoulders, he spoke with a firm yet respectful tone.

"Senator Brutus, I cannot in good conscience betray my loyalty to Emperor Aurelius, nor can I forsake the oath I have sworn to defend Colobria and its people. Though we may have been vanquished on the battlefield, our spirits remain unbroken." Duke Oenotrus said.

Senator Brutus regarded Duke Oenotrus with a mixture of admiration and frustration. "Duke Oenotrus, you are a man of honor and integrity, qualities that are rare in these troubled times. However, loyalty to a ruler who has forsaken his duty to his people is misplaced. Emperor Aurelius has grown fat on the backs of his people, bowed down to alien nations, and sold his sovereignty for mere modern weapons. He also has disregarded the suffering of those he claims to rule over. Join me, and together, we can bring about a new era of prosperity and justice for all."

Duke Oenotrus shook his head solemnly. "I appreciate your offer, Senator Brutus, but my allegiance lies with Emperor Aurelius, misguided though it may be in your eyes. In our eyes, he is a benevolent leader trying to modernize his nation. However, I implore you to spare the innocent citizens of Colobria City. They are not responsible for the actions of their ruler, and they deserve better than to be subjected to the horrors of war."

Senator Brutus nodded thoughtfully, his expression softening slightly. "Very well, Duke Oenotrus. I promise that Colobria City will not suffer the same fate as the battlefield. As long as its citizens surrender peacefully and pledge their support to the Slavery faction, they shall be spared from harm."

With a heavy heart, Duke Oenotrus accepted Senator Brutus's terms, knowing it was the best action to protect the people he had sworn to defend. "Thank you, Senator Brutus. I shall relay your message to the citizens of Colobria City and urge them to surrender peacefully. May this bloodshed end, and may we find a path toward peace and reconciliation."

Then Duke Oenotrus and his remaining army were given two choices: join the rank of slavery faction or die with honorable death.

As Duke Oenotrus decided to embrace an honorable death alongside his remaining forces, a solemn air hung over the encampment. The gravity of their choice weighed heavily on each soldier's heart, yet they stood resolute in their commitment to uphold their principles to the very end.

With the message conveyed through the slavery faction messenger for Colobria City and its people to surrender to the slavery faction, preparations for the honorable execution commenced. A sense of somber acceptance pervaded the atmosphere as the soldiers gathered, knowing their fate was sealed but finding solace in knowing they would meet it with dignity and honor.

Amidst the encampment, a priest stepped forward, his robes billowing gently in the breeze. With solemn reverence, he led a prayer to the gods, invoking their mercy and forgiveness for Duke Oenotrus and his army. His words echoed through the camp, a plea for absolution and a request for a place among the revered warriors of the Fortisregnum Empire in the afterlife.

As the prayer concluded, the executioner stepped forward, his demeanor solemn yet resolute. He carried out his duty with a steady hand and unwavering resolve, signaling the beginning of the honorable execution.

One by one, Duke Oenotrus and his loyal soldiers faced their fate with stoic bravery, meeting their end with dignity and grace. Despite the weight of their impending demise, there was no fear in their eyes, only a steadfast resolve to uphold their honor to the very end.

Colobria City, 24 March 2141/ 24 Martius 1841, 09:00 am

After Duke Oenotrus and his army were honorably executed, the Slavery faction army had no obstacle to conquering Colobria City. Because the person in charge of Colobria City received Duke Oenotrus's final message and Emperor Aurelius' imperial orders, if the Colobria army failed to defeat the Slavery faction army, Colobria City would surrender to prevent civilian casualties.

When the slavery faction besieges the Colobria City, the messenger asks the Colobria City to surrender and open the wall. If the people of Colobria City surrendered and pledged to support the slavery faction, they would be spared from massacre and plundering because there was no chance to defend themselves and orders from Duke Oenotrus and the imperial order of Emperor Aurelius, Colobria City officially surrendered to the slavery faction.

After the Colobria City gate opens, the slavery faction marches to enter the city. The mighty Slavery faction army consists of magic musketeers, magic cannons, sword and array cultivators, and Senator Brutus' standard infantry and cavalry enter the city with their proud march action. Majestic dragons soar above the Colobria City sky and inflict fear on the Colobria City people. As an honorable promise, the slavery faction army did not massacre, plunder, or threaten the Colobria City people.

After the defeat of the Colobria Army and the surrender of Colobria City, the battle of Colobria City was won by the winning side, the slavery faction. Emperor Aurelius already knew about this result from the information from UT ISIA. However, he regrets not being able to save Duke Oenotrus and his army in the battle. He swears to himself that he and his modernized elite legionnaires will defeat Senator Brutus and his slavery faction and end this civil war once and for all.
