Jun Tianyun rested on his bed at home with his arms propped behind his head. He stared at the ceiling of his room as he clearly remembered dying last night to his favorite prostitute. After she sucked him dry of his yang essence, he visited the world between life and death briefly. There he met Death’s intern, Kim. She was cute but talked far too much for his liking and was not his type of woman.
Apparently, he died before his time and Kim gave him a toy from death. It was called the Random Skill System. From the RSS, he gained a skill called Power from Death. Whatever kills him makes him nearly invulnerable to it in his next life. That next life would have him come back to life as he regenerates from whatever killed him. Meaning that as far as Tianyun knew, he was immortal until the end of time. Kim clearly stated this opportunity was a once in a lifetime thing as Death did not make mistakes often. She even congratulated him as the third person in all of current history since the start of the universe to be taken before his time.
Right now, Tianyun was planning his revenge. A vigorous amount of yang qi was swirling within his body. It was difficult for Tianyun to keep still. Like he was a young child again filled with unending energy after his mother took him out to play in the town.
“Qingyao. I’m going out!” Tianyun yelled as he opened his door, no longer able to suppress the yang qi going wild inside his body.
“Young Master, I must insist you rest for at least...” Jun Qingyao was immediately taken aback as she looked at the state of Tianyun’s body.
“I know you have questions but let’s leave it at a miracle given by the heavens to me at Death’s doorstep.” Jun Tianyun quickly walked.
Qingyao was his personal servant and the protector of his life. As a cultivator, the state of his body was laid bare to her spiritually enhanced senses. There was no deceiving her and frankly Tianyun was a little too lazy to even try such an impossible task in the first place. He had much more important things to do, such as getting revenge on the woman who got greedy enough to drain the life Jun Tianyun!
“Sister Chen! Let’s go for another round, right now!” Tianyun shouted as he made it to Full Moon Brothel.
Tianyun was confident she couldn’t suck him dry this time around. It didn’t take long for the owner to arrange things for him and Sister Chen. Qingyao stood outside their room with a blank look on her face. As the sound of clothes being torn and the rustling of a bed, Qingyao let out a relieved sigh.
She was worried that a demonic entity did something to her young master’s body or mind but from the way he was acting, he hadn’t changed at all. Qingyao believed it was only her young master that would immediately head to a brothel after nearly dying. And from the sounds of it, taking out his eagerness for life on the poor prostitute.
“Stop! Stop! Stop! It’s too much, Young Master Tianyun! I can’t take it all!” Sister Chen cried out.
“It wasn’t too much last night, was it?!” A smack was heard.
“I’m sorry, okay! I got greedy and was inexperienced with this technique! I lacked self-control and, ahn! Ahn! Ahn!”
Things went on like that for hours until Tianyun saw that Sister Chen was on the verge of experiencing Qi Deviation. A fatal act that comes about as a result of something going wrong in one’s cultivation technique. He clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction as he reluctantly pulled himself out of Sister Chen’s overflowing valley. Her eyes were in a state of half-consciousness but somehow, she was still conscious enough to use Tianyun’s overabundant yang qi for her cultivation.
Tianyun watched as she broke past barrier after barrier in her cultivation training. From the early stage all the way to peak stage of the Spiritual Awakening Realm. It was rather amazing in Tianyun’s opinion. When comparing cultivation stages, she was nearly on par with the many geniuses of their Shining Sun City. Of course, when you take in account of her age, it wasn’t much to brag about though.

A more accurate name for Sister Chen would be Auntie Chen. She was far past the prime age for cultivation and marriage. Although she wasn’t the oldest prostitute in Full Moon Brothel, she was close. But her age was only one thing about her that made Tianyun smitten with her. The other was her appearance. For a woman at her age, she was almost everything Tianyun loved in a woman. The temperance and maturity of a grown woman, the body that had experience and curves filled out in all the right ways, and a nice big butt.
“Learn your limits, love. My family is quite powerful in this city.” Tianyun left her with those words.
On the way back to the estate, Tianyun dropped by a weapon shop and picked up a bow.
“A bow?” Qingyao questioned.
“Yeah, it’s pretty cool, isn’t it?” Tianyun casually asked.
“You’ve always had unique tastes, Young Master.” Was Qingyao’s only response.
“What’s cooler than being able to defend yourself without even moving?”
“I suppose a person like yourself would think that way...” It started to make sense in Qingyao’s head.
For most of the Young Master’s life, he was an overly cautious and cowardly person. If it wasn’t because his talent was lower than his older twin, it would be these traits that cost him the seat as future head of the family. The Jun family was a family built on martial strength. Without it, you weren’t considered valuable in the family.
“Are you planning to have fun by hunting?” Qingyao asked.
“Nope. This is gonna be my weapon as you teach me martial arts.” He happily smiled as if he didn’t just say the most ridiculous thing she’s ever heard.
“Martial arts? But I thought you gave up after realizing your lacking talent in cultivation.” Qingyao bluntly stated.
“Eh well, I decided to give it another try after I almost died. By the way, did you know Death had an intern? Cute girl but talks way too much.” Tianyun chatted.
“...” Qingyao decided to block out most of the nonsense in that sentence as she focused on the first few words. “If you truly wish to practice martial arts, I wouldn’t recommend taking up the bow, Young Master.” It was good he was taking an interest in gaining strength to protect himself, even if it was a little late.
“I’m going to do it anyway. Seems like a lot of fun.” Tianyun stubbornly stayed true to his decision.
“There are no powerful cultivators that master the bow, Young Master. Not among the youth or the most powerful men on the continent.” Qingyao tried to change his mind.
“Cool, I'll be the first. Awesome, I'll go down in history as the Legendary Archer or Divine Archer.”
Like a child talking about something he didn’t understand, the Young Master held strong against her suggestion. “Fine.” Qingyao gave up for now. Since the Young Master was too stubborn to see reason now, after they begin his training, he’ll surely see reason once she pummels him into the ground. Proving to him just how useful that bow will be in real combat.
When they arrived back at the estate, Qingyao didn’t waste any time in training him. Tianyun immediately started to complain when she forced him into doing physical exercises to strengthen his body. “Cultivation! Cultivation! Cultivation!” He whined like a child. “Young Master...” Qingyao pinched the bridge between her eyes. “If your body isn’t strong enough, you cannot handle the flow of qi surging through it.”
“But what about my yang qi? Isn’t it strong enough already since that’s flowing through me?” Tianyun asked.
“...” That was a good point.
Qingyao began to feel the Young Master’s body to see if he was right. She squeezed, prodded, poked, and rubbed all over his body with nothing but a straight face. Tianyun blushed like a maiden as he tried to distract her with words. Ignoring his crude jokes, she nodded. It seemed like his body was barely strong enough to handle a cultivation technique.
“I’ll be back to get a suitable cultivation technique for you, Young Master. While I'm gone, you can go ahead and practice with your bow.” Qingyao stated before walking away.
Tianyun did as she ordered and began to miss every shot with his arrows. Not a single one came close to the target down range. It was quite disheartening, but he wasn’t particularly worried. Once he dies enough, mastering this weapon will be a piece of cake. In fact, he planned on dying to qi deviation once Qingyao returns with his cultivation technique. He didn’t know how his body would adapt after he returns to life after dying from that but maybe it would be possible for him to practice multiple cultivation techniques even if they directly oppose each other in nature. A type of all-nature cultivation technique.
