[Spin I]

[Devour I]

A brown humanoid furry beast scratched its head with one of its four fingers as it took in its new surroundings. Sand, sand, sand, and more sand! It doesn’t remember how it arrived to this place but did understand the strange symbols that floated in front of its face somehow despite never seeing them before. Spin I and Devour I were things that it always did before it came here. Even as a baby, all it knew was spinning and eating!

The creature no longer gave any thought to the strange situation as its stomach grumbled. It turned into a miniature brown cyclone as it tore across the sandy ground. A swirl-like pattern was left behind in the sand as it searched for food with its fantastic sense of smell. Of course, since it didn’t know what each of the smells correlated to, it didn’t know if it was smelling food or something else. At least, until it realized one of the smells was on the move!

This realization ignited a fire inside the beast. It increased its spinning speed as it followed the multiple scents. There had to be several preys traveling together! A feast, it thought! Just as it arrived in this strange place, it already had a feast waiting for it! How scrumptious!

It could already taste whatever creatures were up ahead. It only took half an hour before the beast spotted the strangely shaped four-legged animals. The pack saw the creature as soon as it saw them. They immediately high-tailed it into a full-speed gait across the desert floor. With speed even faster than them, the spinning beast rushed at them with saliva dripping down its mouth in anticipation of the feast.

The slowest of the camels were left behind. This included the elderly and calves. Fear clouded their brains and the thought of using their superior numbers to protect themselves and fight the mysterious predator didn’t even occur to them. Not that it would’ve done much good in the first place. Their only methods of defense were biting, kicking, and spitting. Neither of which would have done anything to hurt the beast.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

It ravenously devoured the slowest camels in seconds. Its mouth could expand large enough to devour them whole if it so chose but it decided to savor its first meal in this unfamiliar place. The elderly camels were eaten in two bites! While the calves were swallowed whole.

The beast licked its lips in a satisfied manner once it was finished and then took off like a tornado toward the other camels that were still fleeing! It didn’t take long for the spinning beast to catch up with the camels. Just as it was about to dig its claws into the healthy camel’s backside, it immediately stopped as it smelled something from below the sand rising up! In a blink of an eye, a large monster rose from beneath the sand and gobbled the group of camels that the spinning beast was planning to eat!

“Rrraggghr!!!” It angrily growled and screeched while bouncing around on its two feet, furious.

The giant worm monster dove back into the sand after swallowing the camels whole but the beast refused to let this thievery go. Its entire body spun in place until it turned into a spinning cyclone before burrowing into the ground and chasing after the monster worm. It could only see the tail-end of the worm but that was good enough for it! The beast started from the back-end and tore into the worm monster while spinning. Its flesh looked as if it was being shredded incredibly quickly but the beast was actually just clawing apart the monster piece by piece while throwing its pieces in its mouth.

The monster worm was unable to defend itself from behind, leaving the beast to freely eat it without any harm whatsoever. It even managed to eat the devoured camels since the monster had no time to digest them after swallowing them whole. Once the beast got its revenge and its belly a little fuller, it spun back up to the surface. Arriving in front of a strange structure. Its nose picked up on a strange smell inside and despite just eating a monster more than three times its own size in width and five times its length, it could still eat a little more. After all, back home it never felt full once even after eating an entire herd of animals.

“Blahghbl. Nah!” It walked inside the pyramid and only turned its head when the entrance closed behind it.
