Min-ji sighed as she looked at those disgusting, stanky, rotting, infected fuckers in front of her shop. She took out her crowbar, flipped the sign outside her door to open, and walked outside. Before she dealt with these bleeding, drooling, and groaning loiterers, she took out her phone and started making the title for her stream. She adjusted her hair and outfit to the best of her current circumstance before turning the livestream on.
“Hey, everybody! This is Min-Min, and I’m here to show you how to get some infected trespassers off of your property. Like a badass.” Min-ji introduced herself to her zero viewers.
She carefully set up her phone on the ground to get a decent shot of herself actually doing this. It had a back holder so that it could stand up on its own. Min-ji stood to the side as the infected came toward her after hearing her voice. The infected followed her like mindless, starving snails.
They hobbled, limped, and dragged their feet while holding their hands out to latch on to her. Min-ji looked at the three zombies with a smile on her face as she made an exaggerated martial arts scream. Her mind wandered to the strange image that wasn’t of her own doing popping up in her head. Min-ji apparently had a skill called Mechanical Engineering at the Newbie rank.
The sound of a skull being cracked wide open sounded out in her ears as she dropped one of the infected with her crowbar. Min-ji reviewed the miraculous knowledge granted to her overnight as she took out the other slow and uncoordinated zombies in character. Overexaggerating her emotions, being loud and obnoxious, and of course, adding some meme-worthy actions and references as she put the infected out of their misery. How else was a young up-and-coming streamer going to become famous if she didn’t follow the same trends as everyone else starting out? Viewers like the old tried and true after all.
“Don’t forget to smash that like button and share with all of your friends! Unless they’re already infected! Byeee!” Min-ji shut off the stream and saw that she had five viewers from her original zero.
A pretty good outcome, in her opinion. She looked at her list of followers and noticed that two out of the five decided to follow her! Two out of five wasn’t the best percentage, but it was certainly better than zero out of five in comparison! But worrying about her stream could come later. This random influx of information from god knows where is a lot more important, in Min-ji’s opinion.

Min-ji left the infected corpses behind and went back into her car shop. She took a careful look at everything she had inside the shop and grinned. There were a lot of good changes she could do with a newbie rank Mechanical Engineering skill. So many that Min-ji was unsure if it was really at a newbie rank… The type of knowledge shoved into her head made her convinced that this was knowledge centuries ahead in the future.
…
Several days passed as Min-ji went into a mechanical frenzy. She looked over the logistics of every item inside the shop, analyzed what could be used to make or upgrade something for herself or her shop, and after spending so much time with all that. In her efforts to become famous, she made sure to record herself while putting to use her unnatural knowledge. She only managed to make one single object. With great pride and a crazed laugh that riled up some infected that piled up outside of her shop again, she used all of her strength to lift the amazing beauty.
Min-ji kicked open the door of her shop, knocking down some of the infected banging on the door. The roar of a ferocious beast could be heard as she revved up the only thing she could build inside her shop. With an excited scream of her own and her stream up, she charged the incoming infected with her modified chainsaw. Min-ji brought the chainsaw’s spinning teeth down on top of a zombie's skull. The teeth shredded straight through the zombie’s skull and proceeded to bisect the living corpse in half completely. In no time, she began ripping through the other zombies pilled up in front of her shop’s door. Min-ji’s improved chainsaw had zero trouble tearing through the zombies' muscles, bones, and organs.
The chainsaw had a longer bar and chain to keep Min-ji at a safer distance from the zombies, better and more resilient metal for the teeth to tear through zombies like paper, and a better fuel mixture that reduces the amount of fuel used by more than half! She shook her hair with a wide grin. Feeling so damn satisfied while completely covered in blood, guts, and who knows what else.
Min-ji wasn’t worried about all of the infected crap on her. Everyone knew that the infection only spreads through bite or death. How did that work? She didn’t know. She was a mechanic, not a scientist or whatever.
“Don’t forget to smash that like button and share with all of your friends! Unless they’re already infected! Byeee!” Min-ji repeated her sign-off and turned off the stream as she realized something.
If she wanted to build bigger and better tools, she needed many, much more parts! Parts to build! Parts to upgrade! And parts to reconfigure! Maybe it was finally time to look for customers again. It may be the zombie apocalypse, but that didn’t mean that cars didn’t need fixing no more! Min-ji looked outside her shop’s property. Thinking of all the potential things she could build only made her excited for the future. With a smile on her face, she looted all the corpses and went back into her shop.
