The sun bathed the wild meadow in a warm embrace as Ashley the Oddish stirred beneath the shade of her mom’s expansive petals. After breaking free of her egg, Ashley was doused in her mother’s toxic pollen. She sneezed repeatedly as her body acclimated to her mom’s poison. Her petals unfurled, revealing her glorious shade of green that set her apart from her peers in terms of quality. As the world awoke around her, so did her vibrant personality, a blend of traits that really set her apart from other Oddish.

In the midst of traveling closely with her mother through the meadow, Ashley glanced disdainfully at a passing Pidgey, her disdain evident even in her gaze. A Caterpie munched nearby, but it was the embodiment of a loser in her eyes, as she muttered, "Stupid bug." Even giving it a kick as they were passing by. The Caterpie was not a fan of being kicked while peacefully eating. It rushed at Ashley, who went out of her way to come over and kick it.
Ashley ran away, avoiding its tackle, and spat out a seed from her mouth. The seed smacked against the Caterpie’s head before growing vines and latching onto the Caterpie. As the Caterpie tried rolling around to break the energy-absorbing vines, Ashley smiled at its distressing straight as she ran back toward it and started kicking it in the head. “Loser. Why don’t you eat some dirt, instead? You look like you like it.” Her foot repeatedly kicked its body until it fainted.

Ashley happily ran back to the comforting cover of her mother’s petals after feeling way way better after beating up that stupid-looking loser. She was filled with energy. She had so much energy that she really didn’t know what to do with it. So, she just did what she felt instinctively. While quickly running around her mother in a circle, sometimes getting in her way, Ashley would spit out seeds from her mouth filled with the overwhelming amount of energy bubbling inside of her.

“Ashley, dear, quiet now. Mommy is going to hunt, alright?” Diane politely requested.
“Yes, mom!” Ashley carefully watched her mom.
Diane shook the flowers on her head, releasing light-green pollen that caused the grass around them to grow at a rate visible to the eye. In no time, Diane and Ashley were swallowed up by grass, leaving only the tip of their heads visible. Looking at it from another angle, the only thing anyone else would see when looking at the unassuming bush was a great, beautiful flower and five pairs of leaves sticking out of it.
Ashley’s mother then began releasing a sweet-smelling aroma from her flower. While learning from her mother how to hunt, Ashley spent most of her time just spitting seeds into the ground. It didn’t take an hour before some prey came sniffing by, attracted by the aroma given off by Diane. Whether fortunate or unfortunate, it wasn’t some small critter like the ones they passed on the way here. It was an Ursaring.
An Ursaring with two cubs by her side, sniffing the air. “Run away if you’re in trouble…” Diane softly commanded Ashley.
The Ursaring was cautious. It sniffed Diane’s petals at a distance, keeping its curious cubs away out of safety. As an Ursaring, it didn’t make it to its age without realizing that even the most enticing aromas can hide the most dangerous of dangers. However, feeding herself and her children took precedence. Even if it was dangerous, she must take the risk. There was no telling when the next time she would be able to stumble upon an opportunity like this.
Ashley watched as the Ursaring got closer to take a sniff before being bombarded with poisonous pollen. It angrily roared as it was poisoned before Slashing at Diane’s petals. Both Diane and Ashley retreated. Diane started to gather energy from the moon while Ashley focused her eyes on the two Teddiursas. This was a life-or-death battle between Pokemon in the wild! Someone must die for the others to live. Deep within the Viridian Forest, there was no telling when the next opportunity for a meal would come.
