Little Shaolin Monk!

The Shaolin Temple underwent a great fate-defying change in a single day. No one could expect that chaos would befall the Shaolin Temple all of a sudden. There were no signs from the heavens nor the earth before disaster struck. It just appeared from out of the blue and no one could halt its momentum afterward.

“"Hoooooh! Uhouhouhooooo!" The toddler screamed.

The bald child focused her sights on the Hall Master of the Outer Court with a grin on her face. Next to her was the bloodied and battered body of the Hall Master’s apprentice. She swapped the nunchaku in her hand frequently as she spun it like a master who’s practiced it for a lifetime. Those watching were speechless as the toddler gestured for the Hall Master to come at her.

The Hall Master in question was speechless. He didn’t miss how the talented apprentice he carefully raised lost in less than 5 moves against the child. Even if the boy was caught off-guard, this humiliation was probably something neither of them would ever be able to forget for the rest of their lives. Hall Master Hunan would’ve chalked this all up to a bad dream if the thing didn’t just break his disciple’s arm in front of him, forcing his old ears to hear the heart-breaking cry of his disciple!

“You preposterous thing!!!” Hunan lost it seeing the demon in human skin preparing to break another limb on his disciple’s body.

Hall Master Hunan rushed forward to grab at the child in anger. The toddler simply laughed in childish innocence, unaware of Hunan’s rush. Her nunchaku was moments away from crushing Disciple Shandong’s leg. Only for the disciple to suddenly vanish from his position.

“Hauh?” The floor where Shandong was lying shattered from the force of the girl’s strike.

“A freakish thing like you can use qi already?!” Hunan cried out in shock.

Even the most talented of disciples were only able to sense qi around the age of 6! This thing could barely be 3! Seeing this only affirmed Hall Master Hunan’s suspicions. This child must be possessed by a demon! Perhaps the thought was only to soothe his own feelings but no matter what, something as unnatural as this child must be stopped. It couldn’t be good for the sect with such an evil nature.

“Boo!” The girl suddenly appeared in front of Hunan’s face.

Her foot coated in qi kicked out and struck Hall Master Hunan across the dojo. With a laugh that couldn’t be interpreted as anything but innocence and joy, she ran across the floor like a wild tiger toward the airborne Hall Master. As she neared Hall Master Hunan, she flipped up into the air while spinning her nunchaku before slinging it toward the old man’s face. The martial artist in the 3rd realm of the nine realms was nearly knocked unconscious from the full force blow given by the child. If Hunan didn’t manage to block using most of his qi, everything would be black by now. That didn’t stop his back from smashing against the wall of the dojo and the bones in his arms from breaking though.

“Enough!!!” Hall Master Hunan was able to accept reality. If he didn’t snip this evil in the bud, their Shaolin Temple would be destroyed by this creature in due time.

The Hall Master of the outer court finally unsheathed his blade. His qi concentrated entirely around his weapon.

“Oooh! Hee hee hee!” The child copied his technique.

“...” Those watching found their voices stuck in their throats.

This only further cemented Hunan’s thoughts that this creature needed to be taken out as soon as possible. Even now, he could spot traces of their sect’s martial arts being utilized by this demon. Footwork from the Tiger Stance, attack patterns from the Heaven’s Infinite Embrace with the nunchaku, and now Qi Infusion! Although Hunan could spot traces of these martial arts, it wasn’t that they were simply an imitation. No, they were just incomplete! The demon simply didn’t observe them long enough to see their complete execution!

Hall Master Hunan dashed forward to take this creature’s life. “Mythical Yang Saber!” His blade glowed with a bright orange fiery aura. The child spun her nunchucks so fast some of the disciples watching couldn’t even catch her movements. A white aura focused around just the girl’s weapon as she met Hall Master Hunan head on! Their weapons met and the clash held for only a moment before Hunan appeared behind the girl.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" She screamed.

Everyone watched as the girl was bisected from her midsection. Some of the disciples even started to scream from seeing such a horrific sight. Then the screams changed to confused murmurs. Blood, organs, entrails, and the like were expelled from out of her body but she was still alive? Silence took hold of the dojo as the child simply plopped the upper half of her body on top of her lower half.

Her flesh began to meld back together and almost instantly, she was back to normal as if she wasn’t just sliced in half!

“Gya! Mosha back normal!” She cheered.

Mosha’s attention was brough back to Hall Master Hunan. She was about to continue their fight until she noticed the wooden nunchaku, she was using burst apart into wooden splinters. A cute little frown plastered on her face until she remembered something. She quickly turned to the weapon’s rack and realized that it wasn’t destroyed. Her little legs quickly ran over to the weapons rack, only for Hall Master Hunan to instantly shut down her hopes.

“Mystic Yang Sealing!” Hall Master Hunan tossed a talisman that landed straight on Mosha’s forehead.

Once attached, glowing yellow chains burst out of the talisman and chained Mosha up until nothing but her head was visible. She frantically tried to break free using all the qi inside her little body. From time to time, the chains would expand as if on the verge of shattering from the force of her strange dense qi but ultimately, they held. Hall Master Hunan, covered in horrific injuries from the girl’s attack, picked the ball of chains up with his qi and slowly limped his way to the Abbot to ask for guidance on what to do with this demon.

“Shah! Ouhuhuh! Gya!? No!!!” Mosha yelled, trying her utmost to break free.

Despite all her struggles, Mosha was still brought before the head of the Shaolin Monastery along with the hall masters of several courts. A few more talismans and even a yang-powered array was created for her to further contain the demon inside her. Hall Master Hunan laid on the floor before the Abbot as his life-threatening wounds were being treated. He began telling him everything he knew about the child. Abbot Yan frowned after hearing how little Hunan knew concerning the child.

First off, women weren’t allowed to become monks in the first place. How this little girl managed get in their sect at all proved that someone in the Nursery Hall was negligent in their duties. Second off, there was no discernable signs of this child being a prodigy before her display today. From what they could gather from the punished monks in the Nursery Hall, she was only 3 years old. Even if she was a reincarnated soul, three years isn’t enough for one to gain this much power in so little time. Not even Abbot Yan was arrogant enough to boast such a claim. He doubted even an Immortal could.

The last thing bothering him was that there was no other explanation that he knew for this child’s impossible strength other than reincarnation or demonic possession. But those two possibilities didn’t add up either. Her speech patterns didn’t fit either category. She didn’t radiate the evil feel of a demon’s qi. And there were no signs of her being more advanced than any other orphan either to fit the first category. She could walk, crawl, cry, and babble just like the other orphans who were brought in at the same time as her. Although her talking capability might be lower than those children if Hall Master Hunan’s words were to be brough in.

“We’ll seal her with the other demons. If she proves to be unrepentant and uncontrollable, we’ll leave her in the Tower of Redemption. If she shows change and is willing to be taught the ways of Buddha, there is a possibility of her regaining her freedom.” Abbot Yan decided.

“Even if she’s a woman, you’re allowing her to become a Shaolin Monk?” Someone questioned.

“This rule may be ignored in favor of her immense potential.” Abbot Yan declared.

“Understood.” He bowed.

“You all may be dismissed. I’ll drop her off myself.” Abbot Yan nodded.

The monks dispersed as the head of the Shaolin Monastery did as he said. Mosha was locked away in the Tower of Redemption screaming her head off still trying to become free. Mosha was the talk of the monastery for weeks and months on end. Then years passed and she turned into nothing more than just a legend.
