The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows over the village of Konoha as a young boy walked toward the gates of the Ninja Academy. The boy was Fugaku Uchiha. Today was his first day at the Academy, but unlike the other children bustling with nervous excitement, Fugaku had only one thing on his mind: graduation. His dark eyes, already sharp with the keen insight of a shinobi, scanned the path ahead. He was younger than most of the children he passed, but there was an air of quiet confidence about him that made no one take notice of him as he passed by. Fugaku looked like just any other child after all. A Uchiha sure, but still just a regular kid.
As he entered the Academy, the classroom buzzed with the energy of new beginnings. Children greeted each other, finding seats, and nervously chatting about what the future might hold. Fugaku, however, remained silent, taking a seat at the front, his expression unreadable.
The instructor entered the room, calling for silence. He was a seasoned shinobi, used to the nervous chatter of first-day students, even the boy sitting at the front quietly looking at him didn't catch his attention. Fugaku's gaze was steady, unblinking. It was creepy but it'll take more than a child staring at him to frighten a shinobi.
"Welcome to the Academy," the instructor began, his voice commanding attention. "Here, you will learn the skills necessary to become a shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village. But remember, the path of a ninja is long and arduous, and only those who embody the will of fire, work hard, and listen well will make it."
As the instructor continued, outlining the curriculum and the importance of discipline, Fugaku’s mind was elsewhere. He had already made his decision. When the time came for questions, Fugaku stood, his voice clear and unwavering.
"Sensei," he said, drawing the attention of the entire room. "I want to graduate early."
The room fell silent. The instructor blinked, momentarily caught off guard. He had seen many cocky students over the years, but this was his first student to make such a bold request on their first day.
"Graduate early?" the instructor repeated, his voice tinged with skepticism. "You realize that the training here is designed to take years. You’re barely old enough to be here."
"I understand," Fugaku replied, his tone respectful but firm. "But I am ready. If you doubt my abilities, I ask that you test me."
The other students began to murmur, disbelief and curiosity spreading through the room like wildfire. Some wondered if they could graduate early too. They wanted to know what the test would be to graduate. Was it going to be hard? Did they have to fight a ninja? Take a written test?
The instructor studied Fugaku for a moment, weighing his options. It was unheard of, but the confidence in the boy’s eyes was undeniable. Finally, the instructor nodded, a slight smile playing at the corner of his lips. "Very well. If you wish to prove yourself, I will arrange a test. You will face a Genin in combat. If you win, you may graduate."
The challenge was set. The instructor led the class outside to the training grounds, where a young Genin from the Reserve Corps, no older than twelve, was summoned. The Genin eyed Fugaku with a mixture of amusement and irritation. He had been pulled from his relaxation to fight a mere child. It was insulting. Even if the kid was a Uchiha…
"Are you sure about this, kid?" the Genin sneered, twirling a kunai between his fingers. "I won’t go easy on you just because you’re a kid."
Fugaku didn’t respond. He simply took his stance, his mind already calculating the fastest way to end the fight. The instructor gave the signal, and the duel began. The Genin rushed forward, confident that his speed and experience would overwhelm the young Uchiha. But as he closed in, something unexpected happened. Fugaku was even faster than he was to his surprise. With a swift and precise strike, Fugaku appeared behind him, his hand chopping the genin’s neck and ending the battle in only a few seconds.
Critical Strike: Speed x5!
Critical Strike: Strength x3!
The entire training ground fell silent, save for the Genin’s snoring as he lay defeated. The instructor, along with the other students, stared at Fugaku in stunned silence. The boy had not only won but had done so with a level of skill and power that far exceeded his years. A four year old kid! Fugaku stood over his fallen opponent, his expression calm and composed. He had done what he came to do. The instructor finally found his voice, though it was filled with awe. "Fugaku Uchiha… you really do live up to the expectations held by the Uchiha. From this moment on, you are officially a Genin of the Hidden Leaf Village." He handed him a headband, not expecting to actually have to give it out.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Fugaku bowed his head slightly, acknowledging the decision. “Thank you, sensei.” He respectfully responded. He turned and walked away from the training grounds, leaving the other students to whisper among themselves about the Uchiha prodigy they had just witnessed. For Fugaku, this was only the start. As he exited the Academy, the sun now high in the sky, Fugaku reflected on his victory. There was no pride or joy, only a sense of this was only expected . He was now a Genin, but his journey was far from over. The Uchiha clan’s future rested on his shoulders, and he was going to ensure they thrived and prospered. The path ahead was clear, and Fugaku Uchiha was already walking it.
The next day, Fugaku got his photo taken, registered in the shinobi registration book, and officially admitted to the Genin Reserve Corps. They didn't have a jonin available to personally teach him nor did they have any available team members on his level for him to be in a squad with. Considering Fugaku was the son of the Uchiha Clan Head, he didn't really lack someone to instruct him. Not that he really needed it but he appreciated it nonetheless.
“Fugaku! Here I come!” Yumi Uchiha, his mother, shouted as she quickly weaved through hand signs.
A massive fireball came flying toward Fugaku. Left, right, up, down, there seemed to be no avoiding this attack. Fugaku leaped backwards as he began going through hand signs of his own. Yumi eagerly smiled as she witnessed the prodigal talent of her son. A blue fireball superior to her own in size, temperature, and speed came flying toward her. Momentarily, Fugaku’s eyes went wide as he attempted to alter the direction of his ninjutsu, not sure if his mother could handle it.
Critical Strike: Ninjutsu x10!
“Don't look down on your opponent!” Fugaku heard Yumi’s voice behind him but he was staring right at her about to be consumed by his fire ball jutsu.
Fugaku brought up his arms in defense as his mother kicked him with a roundhouse kick. His fireball jutsu went soaring into the sky as his mother didn’t let up on him. She hit him with a front punch to the face that opened up his guard as he reeled from the blow. He brought up his arms to protect his face, leaving his stomach open to a knee that caused him to nearly vomit. Fugaku fell to his knees understanding that his mother wasn’t holding back in the slightest.
Critical Strike: Defense x2!
“Your enemies won’t show you mercy, son. Especially not to a Uchiha.” Yumi’s leg was raised high, coming down straight toward Fugaku’s head.
Fugaku rolled out of the way of her attack despite the pain. When he tried to get back to his feet, his ankle was grabbed as his mother lifted him up and through the air before slamming him into the ground.
Critical Strike: Defense x2!
However at the same time Fugaku was weaving through hand signs even as he felt all of the air being knocked out of his lungs. Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!
Critical Strike: Ninjutsu x3!
Two balls of blue flames knocked into Yumi’s chest, forcing her to release her hold on Fugaku and nearly fall to the ground.
“That strange ability of yours is so ridiculous, Fugaku-chan!” Yumi laughed despite the severe burn to her chest. “It’s all luck, right?! But it’s guaranteed no matter what as long as an action is performed. My son is going to become the greatest Uchiha who ever lived! Surpassing even Madara!”
“Thank you, mom…” Fugaku stood up as his mother began healing her wounds with the Healing Jutsu. He watched carefully.
Critical Strike: Comprehension x20!
Critical Strike: Training x8!
Critical Strike: Teaching x3!
Fugaku copied the same hand signs his mother performed and also performed the Healing Jutsu! “It can work with learning jutsus as well?!” Yumi exclaimed. “Yep, yep. My son will become the greatest shinobi in the world.” Yumi smiled.
Critical Strike: Ninjutsu x11!
Fugaku felt his pains and aches disappear almost instantly. His muscles, bones, tendons, blood, and all growing stronger. The effects of Critical Strike: Training x8 took effect immediately and with the healing from the Healing Jutsu, his recovery was beyond belief. The Fugaku of a few seconds ago was almost incomparable to the Fugaku right now. When he walked over to heal his mother he received a Critical Strike: Ninjutsu x6. Her skin returned to its normal color and there were no scars or burns present on her. Yumi even looked way healthier than before.
“Love you, kiddo!” Yumi swooped him up in a big hug and spun him around in a circle.
Fugaku couldn’t hide the blush on his cheek as he gave into his mother’s warm embrace. It was embarrassing but it felt nice as well.
