Candy Queen.

“I hate this place...” Amy softly said as she wiped her tears, purple bruises could be seen on her body.

Amy was sitting on the floor inside the closet. It was still sunny outside so it wasn’t completely dark inside here but Amy still hated being inside the closet. Why was she the one punished when it was Brock who hit her first? It wasn’t fair that she was sent inside the time-out closet and he got to eat ice cream with the rest. He always hits her and when she fights back, she’s the one to get in trouble. Amy hated Miss Waters. Amy hated Brock. Amy hated everyone else too because they never stick up for her.

The orphanage was where Amy lived for the last 8 years of her life. Her stupid mom and dad didn’t care about her as a baby and left her on the doorstep of this dumb stupid orphanage. If she could go back in time like in the movies, she would go to the future to get her future self and bring her back to the past with her to beat her parents up for abandoning her here. Then she could live a good life with her rich and successful future self. Maybe then she would actually have someone that cares about her.

Amy knew the way she was being treated was wrong. Nobody was treated like this in the cartoons.

‘Super Lady Princess always says to treat others kindly and to help those in need but when am I ever going to get the help I need?’ Amy wanted to get out of this place.

If she complained, Miss Waters would tell her, “If you hate living here so bad, go live out on the street you money-sucking rat!” So, Amy stopped talking about how much she hated living in the orphanage out loud. Even saying it to the others wasn’t safe because they would snitch on her and she would get sent back into this stupid closet! Amy didn’t want to live on the streets...

Miss Waters and the others always talked about how scary it was outside. There would be strange men who would want to take her and do bad things to her. There were starving dogs who like to eat little girls like her. Nobody would feed her and she’d have to eat garbage from the trash cans and dumpsters. No showers so she’d have to be stinky, no toilets to use, no sinks to wash her hands with, and no clothes but the ones she’s wearing.

Amy might hate this place very much but she wasn’t willing to become a dirty hobo. Even if she has to get hurt by Brock and some of the other boys and girls and live under the evil Miss Waters, it was better than living on the streets with no one caring about her at all. Sometimes the other kids wouldn’t be mean to her. They made fun of her a lot and always messed with her stuff but there were times when they got along. Amy could barely remember them but they still happened.

“Have you learned your lesson yet, you violent little beast!?” Miss Waters yelled as she unlocked the closet.

“Yes, Miss Waters. I promise I won’t bite Brock so hard that he bleeds again.” Amy said, crossing her fingers behind her back.

“When will someone take you out of here already? Such a wild little girl. I feel sad for whoever will adopt you.”

“I feel sad for whoever has to marry you...” Amy muttered under her breath.

“Excuse me, young lady?! Just when I was about to let you out too! Enjoy another hour in there! And enjoy eating your dinner cold for having such a smart mouth! Maybe I'll let Brock have some of your food too. He’s such an angel compared to a little devil like you.”

“I hate you, Miss Waters! I hope Brock chokes and dies!” Amy exploded with such rage that it secretly shocked herself.

Miss Waters let out a gasp and couldn’t even respond. She relocked the closet and stomped her feet down the hall. Amy didn’t feel bad about what she said. She didn’t regret it either. Miss Waters treated Brock so much better than anyone else when he was such a fat ugly stupid stinky bald-headed bully! Miss Waters was a stupid adult for not being able to see what a terrible person Brock really is and deserves the worst too.

She rarely got enough food as it was in an orphanage filled with so many kids. Her body was the scrawniest in the whole orphanage. It wasn’t uncommon for her to be called Twiggy Amy or Skelly Amy. Those weren’t even the worst ones she was called. The other kids called her nastier names when Miss Waters wasn’t around. She couldn’t say anything back either or the other kids would be a bunch of snitches and get her in trouble for insulting them back! Amy would love to give them all stitches for all the times they got her in trouble.

After some time, Amy got used to the names. She wasn’t okay with being called names but there wasn’t much she could do but try and ignore them. There was one thing that she never accepted though. That was being hit by the others. Amy firmly believed that if someone hit you first then you better hit them back and make sure they don’t hit you again. The others got it through their heads after the first couple of times she beat them. Brock still hasn’t got it through his thick fat dumb head that she wasn’t okay with being hit yet. Maybe this time he would understand. Amy doubted it though. He could barely do multiplication when he was older than her.

If there was one nice thing Amy could say about Miss Waters... It would be that she never hit them. Amy didn’t think that she would be able to fight against Miss Waters and still stay in the orphanage. There were times that she thought about calling the police and hoping that they would be able to save her from this terrible place but she never had the courage to go through with it. What if they placed her in a different orphanage? What if that one was worse than this one? What if they fed their kids leftovers instead of whole dinners?! Amy saw some movies where orphans were fed scraps!

It was at that moment a strange pain assaulted Amy’s head.

----------------------------------------

“Humans and others! My kind has finally found our way into your world! It took a few necessary sacrifices but we made our way into this untapped universe! From now on you will be our toys to do with as we please and we want to see you guys evolve to your full potential! We will occasionally send Aspects of ourselves to progress your race into advancing quicker. Who we chose depends on how we feel! Oh! You should also know that it won’t be just humans who take our Aspects! How can we help your race advance without a few hardships?! We’ll send a few threats every now and then and depending on how well you guys handle them we’ll increase the dangers of the threats or keep them as it was. Any questions?! None? None at all?! Well, gee your race is pretty good at adapting! See you guys in a few years!” The voice that every being on the planet heard all at once.

A few moments after that announcement several beings all across the planet began to change in some way. And as stated previously, Humans weren’t the only race involved in this mass event. Dogs, snakes, whales, eagles, and every other type of species had some of their members changed as well. But most importantly, Amy was changing. The young girl trapped in the closet found herself clutching her head in terrible pain as tears ran down her eyes.

The first thing to change about Amy was her skin. The dark shade of brown that painted Amy’s body slowly changed into a bubble gum coloring. The pinkness didn’t just affect her skin, it also affected her hair. The naturally curly poof that was her hair began growing into something even larger than it already was with a dark pink hue taking over the black hair she was born with. Even the pupils in her eyes became a type of pink.

But the most important change was not her body changing into something else. It was the otherworldly being entering itself into Amy’s body! She was gaining its aspect but at the cost of her sanity! Her child mind was far too fragile and weak to resist a being so powerful.

----------------------------------------

Deep down, Amy wanted to give up and accept whatever was happening to her. Just screw it, you know? It was obvious no one was ever going to come to her rescue... The number of times she’s had something good happen in her life could be counted on one hand. It was just one thing after another when all she wanted was to just live her life like a normal girl. The girls in the cartoons and tv shows got to live good lives. Why couldn’t she live a life like that too? Was it because she was an orphan and her parents abandoned her? That wasn’t it either because she’s seen movies where orphans lived better lives than her.

This doubt allowed the aspect to dig deeper into Amy’s mind. But after that, it could not move any further. It managed to take over 75% of Amy’s soul but the remaining 25% was like a brick wall. Amy’s life may have been nothing but awful but that didn’t mean that she wanted to die. She had a feeling if this thing inside her moved any further in, she would no longer be herself anymore. A girl who just wanted to live life as freely as she could.

----------------------------------------

75% was still more than enough to alter Amy’s core self for the higher being. The aspect accepted only being able to take over this much of Amy and settled itself in her soul. Now the real change would begin for Amy’s body as the aspect’s special qualities began to merge with her soul. It would be hard to say that the little girl that emerges from the pink bubble-shaped cocoon would still be Amy at all. The more accurate assessment would be to say a merge between the two. Amy and whichever dimensional being that sent its aspect into her, with the higher being having the most dominant of personality traits taken.

Days, weeks, and months went by with the world engulfed in chaos because of these extraterrestrial god-like beings. Animals turned into monsters, humans gained supernatural powers, and the delicate power balance held by major and minor countries all across the world was shattered in a single day. How would any of this involve Amy at all? Previously just an ordinary little girl but now? Who knows?
