After that sudden confrontation with the five maids and facing Fabia head to head, Marco had established himself in that room having a day to read all that he needed. He informed Emilis about the current situation adding that he made his whole process a mess.

“You wake up the same as us!! Don’t…sleep…you’re awake?”.

Tanya was going to wake Marco up at 6am but was surprised to see him up, using some papers along with his phone and marking some points.

“Do you need something?” Marco asked.

“Eh?! Uhm no, did you sleep last night?” she asked after being flustered.

“No. I didn’t sleep since I have a limited time I wanna discover as much as I want before returning home, if it’s breakfast time I’ll come down after few seconds”

Marco said as he turned off his phone and put aside the papers that he was using. Tanya looked at him then went ahead as she thought that he’s far stranger than what the girls thought he would be.

“Good morning Marco kun!! Did you have a good sleep?”.

Fabia greeted him.

“Good morning and no I haven't slept yet” he greeted her back and answered the same question as Tanya’s earlier .

“Since the girls have a day off because of the repairs , why not look around the town with them?” Fabia said, trying to figure out what Marco was thinking about.

Eventually Marco took some thoughts about it and went ahead with Milize and Rebecca to do some grocery shopping.

“When did you join the red mermaid?” Rebecca started a small conversation since Marco was silent.

“Few months ago, you can say that I re-awakened again.” Marco responded simply not caring about what they wanted.

“Uhm , awakened means that you’re new to this whole society. How’s your studies in school and stuff?! it must be hard to hide it from your friends in school!!” Milize asked again as they saw him not really giving it a thought.

“I don’t go to school because I have a brother and sister that I need to take care of since my parents disappeared or they’re dead. I don’t really know, even before I got my serment and powers back I was working in some small parts of the palm city.”

He showed a gloomy response that the two gulped their breaths not knowing what to ask about. In the end, they returned in silence after buying what they needed. They both had no way of getting back into the conversation.

“Where is he?” Melu asked as she was splitting the groceries into categories.

“He’s upstairs again. He’s more gloomy than what he looks, I’m starting to think that Fabia sama is a peaceful person compared to him you know!!” Milize responded as she got a beating after that because of what she said.

“Uhm, can you show me the old orphanage way?”

Marco asked as he knocked on Tanya’s room.

“Huh?! the orphanage!?” she flustered.

“Yeah, I need to check up on something” Marco was acting normal but he noticed that his request was one thing that he might have avoided.

“why don’t you ask Fabia sama for what you want?” Milize arrived shortly after.

Marco looked at her after getting the feeling of not being welcomed again.

“I guess she’ll speak much better than some wild girls who lost to a gloomy guy,” he said with a made up smug face and went down.

“So you are still teasing my girls, what do you want to hear about? the starting point? or what happened 10 years ago? Maybe why we hate Emilis? or maybe some infos about Carla chan’s parents? You’ve read the old news articles, haven't you?!” Fabia was straight in her words as she was quite the sharp old woman.

“You’ve sneaked into that room and saw my notes. Then why not spill the tea and tell me what I want to know?” Marco asked as he hinted that he knew about what she did while he was gone. Fabia was surprised but didn’t refrain from giggling in his face.

Fabia finished her words then sighed.

“So Carla's mom is in the toss realm. I wonder if I have met her there before” Marco said as he calmed down after learning the truth.

“I didn’t finish yet, the reason that we parted ways with Emilis was because he knew he was wrong but he didn’t want to help. He was obsessed with the idea of reforming the guild. And on top of that he took Carla with him!! The main point is, I’m surprised that she has bloomed to be this perfect girl when I heard about the monster hunting in the palm city and how she did though it was from his reports. I came to admire her more. Also she may be targeted too, since there’s some people from Vanica’s old crew who weren’t captured and were working outlaws. I came in contact with them few times but looking to how the things is and how Carla wasn’t in contact about what really happened, the council was about to take her in after telling her that her mother was the criminal all along, it’s true that Emilis took her in and protected her but sooner or later she’ll know the truth and she may will be the needle that breaks his strong hold” Fabia exhaled quietly then looked at Marco who was taking notes.

Again with Marco’s own way of acting, Fabia and the other girls found him strange. He didn’t feel worried or scared the least bit.

“I guess you’re ignorant about some stuff too, after listening to what you said. Upon hearing his words, Fabia didn’t really respond but smiled a relieved smile.

He responded then stood on his own too, leaving to the room where he was staying. He continued reading the articles to fix up the notes he took while checking more in his phone. He was still annoyed by what he heard though he got a good hint on his next target.

“Isn’t it a little bit early to leave, I guess I told you you’ll be working here for what you did to us?” Fabia said as they were eating breakfast together with everyone.

“Ah, don’t worry. I’ll return by midday and also I have master’s credit card in my pocket so I’ll pay for the rest of the groceries”.

Marco said as he saw the girls along with Fabia stopped eating after hearing his words, all glaring at him with jaws dropped to the ground. He sure made them flabbergasted.

“You have Emilis’ credit card!!?! How did he leave that for a kid!?!” Melu and Milize said as they all were shocked.

“I took it without him knowing, I have my own things with hands, I can either take or give without no one noticing”.

Marco responded while eating, he even slapped Miha’s hand so she won’t take anything from his pocket.

“You’re sure a strange addition to red mermaid, anyway return before 12am and make sure to buy some fruits for the pies later ” Fabia was saying goodbye to him as he left to check on what he needed.
