A pack of orders

A pack of orders

59th chapter : a pack of orders .

As everyone arrived at the restaurant. waiting for Emilis to arrive though he arrived unusually late, they managed to get the tasks and quests prepared for the rest of the day. Vanica, Minerva and Nora prepared themselves to go to the council along with Emilis, to speak about what had happened in the toss realm, and mostly to give the report that Emilis was staying late to work on for the sake of his members.

The four of them headed out as they decided to take the formal way by a 1898 portal, to reach the granddam city, since it’s where the headquarters of the council is for the current year.

Every ten years, the council transports its building to a different location as it gets moved on to one of the five cities randomly.

“I didn’t think I would stand in this city once more. No matter how I look at it” Vanica muttered as they crossed the portal.

“I can’t say that I don’t feel the same as you Vanica sama”.

Nora responded as they were looking around them. Since a lot of things happened, most of the people around the euro society were blaming Emilis for the rising incident with no evidence to back their words, therefore the council didn’t speak about such a thing, making it stay an entire mystery to why this rising incident had happened during this particular time.

“Here we are!!”.

Minerva said, brimming with a cowardly aura yet courage as she was a little worried and more or less hesitant to enter.

“Minerva chan!! It’s ok!! I’m here and Vanica will also be the one to talk. So you take it easy!!”

Emilis calmed her down, flashing a smile with a thumb up gesture as they entered, therefore her calm turned into more stress as she saw that most of the councilors stopped working as soon as the four of them entered the headquarters’ building.

“V-V-Vanica sama!!”.

Minerva didn’t expect such pressure, that as she was holding tight on Nora’s arm. Emilis grinned awkwardly as he stepped to the reception.

“Welcome to the headquarters, master Emilis Vengeance, guild master of the red mermaid. How can I help you today?”.

The receptionist said as she got a notice that Vanica’s face matched their database, a hesitant expression passed through her eyes for that second given that Emilis was emitting a cold vibe around him.

“Yeah, no need to be that polite even if it’s your work!! I know that most of the guild masters are inside the meeting room along with the elders so I’m gonna get inside, I feel bad cause you didn’t invite me!!”.

Emilis said as he smiled at the receptionist who felt offended by his words. The second that Emilis removed his arms from the table, a lot of councilors gathered around Vanica and Nora along with Minerva. Emilis sighed as he dropped the smile making a calm reaction to that swarm.

“What’s the meaning of this?” he asked, playing it smooth so he won’t cause a ruckus.

“Vanica Fullblack. A criminal that was exiled, the council has several regulations against her, so we order you to deliver her to us”.

A high ranked councilor said as he stepped ahead. Vanica pulled Minerva to her side as Nora did the same. The situation turned to be like a high threat level caution so Emilis sighed and stepped forward to the high ranked councilor who is the tenth ranked in the council.

“Orders you say? Who do you think you’re speaking to?”.

Emilis gave them the chills down their spines as no one dared to speak in front of him a single word to reply.

The tenth ranked councilor didn’t likely want to interfere as Emilis’ presence was crushing the atmosphere for them. It was down for a peaceful conversation instead.

“I’m sorry but I don’t think that’s something any holder from the council would forgive” he said after gathering some strength to speak up.

“Heeh? like hell I care what you guys think of it being unforgivable, I’m heading to the meeting room and so these three are with me for reporting, whether you like it or not. All of them are my guild members starting from now, understood?”.

Emilis responded as he put on the confident smile again. Seeing how he reacted to protect them, Minerva and Nora felt relieved and calmed down as they were walking behind him.

Therefore that cheer thought of, it was rather painful to watch on the same side when Emilis hadn’t appeared in their lives yet, for what it looked, the two had gazed upon emilis again to see an everlasting shadow casted by him on them which even if it wasn’t what they sought most likely few months ago, the two were grateful for that shadow now.

“You went a little bit too far, don’t you think?” Vanica said as she was walking alongside him.

“Huh? but it was fun to crush their hopes! I mean I’m the strongest and so they would understand that by any means!!” He responded loudly in order to mock them since no one would really speak against him.

After that sudden show, Emilis opened the door of the meeting room out of the blue to see the guild masters all sitting discussing rather intense subjects. Followingly, they all stopped once he opened the door.

“I hope you guys are having a good day!!” Emilis waved, entering along the three he came with.

“Oh!! Finally showing up!!”.

Alexander responded, having the same laugh as Emilis, while noticing that the mood was going to get more exciting.

“How’re things going up until now?” Emilis asked as he saw that the elders were present but from their own domains using window viewers.

“We were discussing things about what happened during the last five days” Annie responded to him, yawning.

The meetings started five hours ago and so all the guild masters were working hard to find the cause of this problem, the true root of the sudden rising incident.

“More importantly!! Who’re these guys?” Jeanne asked him as all the guild masters looked at Vanica and the others.

“I’m pretty sure that my friends! The elders pretty much know who they are!!” Emilis responded as he looked towards the window viewers after taking a seat next to Alexander.

“What’s the meaning of this? Master Vengeance?”. Asked the elder of kings.

And so it was time for one of the elders to speak up. The guild masters found It weird as they didn’t know what Emilis was talking about either, the situation was rather hazy for their perception.

Looking at how he made a fuss, Emilis sighed and stayed silent for a while, not wanting to answer the question he received from the elder of kings. The other guilds masters were quite interested in the answer too, however few of them refrained from letting their intrusive thoughts win over and kept the composed looks.

“I’m no hero so I should apologize first, as for the guild masters who wanted to know about the answer to that first question, these three are from the toss realm. I know most of the elders here are trying to find a reason to lure me as the main reason for the rising incident but since I wasn’t here in the human realm, they did not find a thing. As for what happened, I gave all of you a report for it, you’ll find it right next to you”.

Emilis said as he pointed to the elders who were shocked and scared to find the papers next to them, their identity was hidden though.

“You mean you have access to the toss realm?”.

Alexander asked as he was looking at the papers that appeared next to them.

“You’ve been neglecting the toss realm for a while now, that they’ve built a lot of strength during the past years. Vanica, who is with me here after what happened, was one of the rulers there that were called the star lord. There’s one more person that was keeping the peace on his own there, Alba Leonard or whom you guys love to call the Demon Dweller”.

Emilis announced Alba’s name, making everyone in that room shocked to hear it. Aside from Alexander who met him during the early era of wars, most of the current guilds masters thought of the Demon Dweller as only a legendary irregular holder that turned its fangs against the council which they had him publicly executed after the end of the war.

Alba was a huge figure that helped in turning off the flames of the war in the human realm thirty years ago. However, due to getting more strength because of that and his loyalty to the euro society, the elders deemed him a criminal and exiled him after ten years of peace away from the wars, thus making that public execution scene to cover up for the exile order.

Upon hearing his name the guild masters were stunned.

“That’s impossible!! Alba Leonard was executed in front of everyone!!”.

Jack Ripper, the guild master of the wooden bells, shrieked as he was the first one to speak up in response to Emilis’ statement.

“You can check it yourself if you want. I’m not lying and mostly nothing of all things that happened in the toss realm was a reason for what happened here so don’t think of blaming them or sending something there” Emilis said as he had a cold look towards the elders.

“Are you saying that these criminals are under your protection?!”

Edina Macy, the guild master of the Valkyries said as she was shocked as much as the others about his stand for the toss realm.

“Think of it the way you want, as I said I’m no hero but I bet you still recognize some of the faces that I brought with me right, Diablo?” Emilis responded, standing from his seat as he addressed the guild master of the dragon myth.

Emilis was responding savagely, showing that he was angry towards the elders’ carefree and insulting orders which proved to be quite harsh on the common people with no status.

“That clearly shows that things are messier than how they are right now” Recka spoke as he sighed after Emilis.

“It’s not that messy. Since Alba san decided on his own to stay behind and keep things in check and peace in the toss realm, consider yourselves lucky to get that side of him and not revenge after twenty years” Emilis spoke again, mostly changing the whole topic of their meeting.

“I appreciate your hard work there, but aren’t you forgetting about something here, we came to discuss the cause of the rising incident”.

Henry Ford, the guild master of the white tigers spoke.

“Ah, before that sorry guys!! I had some things that I wanted to say before speaking about the roots of the rising incident. I’m taking back two of my members!! Elise Beta and Sam Lockhart!! Along with Vanica san here, Minerva chan and Nora kun!! Hana Loki too!! These are the names of the new members that I decided to add to the guild” Emilis had his cherished smile on him.

“And you think they’ll accept that normally without any conditions, huh?” Jeanne said while looking at him acting childishly.

“hmm?! I wasn’t asking for permission, I was announcing though!”.

Emilis responded to her as all the guild masters felt offended, but Alexander laughed out loud because of that.

“You know that they may put your guild, red mermaid, on the blacklist, right!?” said Alexander, having a full blast of enthusiastic smiles on him.

Calmly matching Emilis’ aura, Alexander Hishin, the second strongest guild master after Emilis who also loves to do what he wants, showed that he was backing Emilis’ decision and with no other choice but to approve, the elders stayed silent in front of these two.

“Oh right! Also I’ll come to hunt your dead asses if you don’t remove the penalty from Vanica’s and the other two’s!! man I don’t wanna for holder hunters to roam around my city!!” Emilis took a seat again after that as he made them do that too.

“You’re as usual not giving a thought about order of states, but again that’s what makes us guild masters”.

Eren Arisa, the guild master of the lizards, spoke as he took a deep breath alongside the rest of the guild masters. On a different side, Vanica bowed to the guild masters, paying her respect then she took both Minerva and Nora with her so they would return home on their own.

“So since master Vengeance has joined us. I guess we need to find the true reason for this incident”.

The elder of the jesters spoke as they all were looking at the data that the council gathered during the past three days.

“I’m not sure about it but since we made a lot of assumptions, isn't it just good to put the blame on Emilis Vengeance? he’s hated in the whole world anyway” Edina spoke.

“That’s rude Edina!! and no I’m not that hated!!”.

Emilis responded as they all nodded with Edina’s words. He sighed, acting like he felt offended.

“Well first, it’s only my opinion but I bet you guys remembered the Palferia monsters that we had to exterminate across the world, right?” Emilis said as he pointed at something they didn’t look at.

“And what’s with them?” Annie asked.

“Now you mention it, they could be exterminated by only euro ray attacks and even their own appearance was a shape of euro particles” Jack said as he ordered the councilors to bring the data of the Palferia.

“Not just that but the way their nests look, an outstanding place that shows the true nature of the euro energy” Diablo spoke after that.

“I bet everyone saw how the Palferia goes around to suck the euro from the holders and grow more in terms of shape” Emilis said as he gave them a hint for what he wanted to say.

“Do you mean that us exploding the nests made all this mess?” Alexander asked.

“Not exactly but that would’ve happened sooner or later I guess, we just fastened the course of the events, when I returned to human realm and gave it a thought, one of guild members mentioned them to me while discussing the subject, after matching some data from the council and the Palferia that I kept a sample on its own nature with me, I saw that the matching is high with 65% of the Palferia being the main reason of the incident” Emilis answered the question as they all realized it too.

“So in other words. The appearance of the Palferia that most likely was accumulating in its nest in the middle of the sky for years for now, was the reason. And the Yomus acquired the ability of releasing enough energy to get a serment” Henry stated as they all found it logical.

“It’s the most logical argument I guess,” Jeanne added.

“But looking at how it merged with the Yomus, then it means that the Palferia worked as a euro reserve to them” interjected Annie.

Annie felt enthusiastic as she announced her thoughts. Emilis and Alexander looked at her then chuckled a little at that. The guild masters started discussing other things aside from the main reason for a while.

After a period of time had passed, Emilis exhaled, not wanting to admit that he was in the same situation and would be stuck at it for a long time as them, if not for Alex and Marco mentioning it back then when they were working on the barriers of the city.

“For now, any other suggestions on how we should deal with it? There's still a month to the festival and most likely it’ll be rough to keep things in check. A lot of governments around the world are making their move and doing their research too” Recka said, tapping on the paper pack of intel next to him.

“That’s probably their problem. They were silent the moment I entered but I don’t think this is really the main problem for them. They soon will need to reveal their own identities to the whole world, if they want to make things better for our society”.

Emilis responded as the guild masters found it reasonable, and also the most wanted thing for the meantime. Thus not wanting to admit it, the guild masters stood on Emilis’ side for the time, willing to do anything to make the euro society better for their families and loved ones too.

An era where terms of past wars would find no place in it.
