31st chapter : Emilis isn’t really that good after all .

After sensing that his own partner was in a tight spot, Marco started to think something was off. In that order, he went ahead calling Emilis first and that went somehow well for a starting, as Marco found himself getting few documents and getting a destination to get in for more information. He had to deal with a night shift in a restaurant that Emilis mentioned during their conversation. It was a good start.

Later that day, Fabia and the rest of the maids were cleaning the place while Marco was taking a seat watching them.

“Now then! Mind explaining who are you exactly?!!!”.

The maid of earlier, Rebecca, asked as she was in a bad temper not admitting that Marco had helped them a lot.

“Ah, sorry for earlier. I’m Marco Deca. Well, Fabia san. I need a place to stay for a while, I didn’t really want to use his name as a guarantee but master Emilis is sure handy in this kind of stuff”.

As Marco mentioned Emilis’ name, Fabia took a deep breath before trying to hit him with a plate. He caught the plate so it wouldn’t break and leaped aside before he would block a hit from Tanya and Rebecca.

“You totally reek of his same scent. That’s why I found it weird that you know most of my cooking tips earlier. You dare show up on his behalf, cocky brat!!!” Fabia was also irritated.

Marco didn’t understand what she meant so he took a seat.

“I’m really in need of a place, I don’t know the area around and I don’t have a place to go to” Marco added as he was acting like he let his guard down.

“We won’t hand a place to a lowkey follower for that bastard , not even a square!!” Tanya roared as she attacked him, releasing her serment with everything she got.

Marco dodged that attack, easily leaping outside the place.

“Sorry, but I don’t wanna break anything”.

The attack made a mess inside the restaurant’s floor.

“Huh?! an attack!! Fabia’s place!!! Seems like the girls are hunting a non-payer!! get him girls!!” The crowd yelled.

Marco heard them clearly as they whistled while gathering around. He sighed.

“You heard the citizens, Girls, hunt this rat!!” Fabia ordered as she went outside with her five girls.

Marco sighed again as he stood stretching his arms and legs then took out his phone. As Marco noticed, he saw that the people were comfortable with this kind of situation, he arrived at the conclusion that this quite happens a lot.

“Sorry kiddo!! but you gotta pay up!! Fabia might not be known but her girls are almost equal to a top notch of holders!!!” a guy addressed Marco who was looking at his phone ignoring their words.

“Hello, yeah I met them. Where the heck did you send me to? Ha, you want me to fix the things here, I came to search about something why I have to….Ok fine just don’t tell them I’m here, can I kill them at least?…Alright I’ll fix it but you’ll put a raise in my payment…Huh? Are we really arguing about this, fine I’ll pass the raise, but I don’t think I’ll fix the things without some fights please think about it”.

Marco was talking on the phone while the girls were waiting for him as an entertainment show for the district. He figured out again that it was usually common for this to happen.

“Are you sure you don’t wanna take a seat and talk properly? I dunno what happened between you and master but I’m in no position to fight some weak girls” Marco said as he was facing them as soon as he put down his phone.

“Shut up, Rat!! you’re as traitorous as him!! We don’t have a place for someone like you!!” Tanya interjected as she was mad, same as the four other girls.

“I see. Well, I had given my warnings so I don’t mind beating some girls after all”.

Marco took a deep breath before he stood waiting for them to move. In that aspect, he took the first pace and dashed straight at Rebecca with full speed. He tried to land a hit but was surprised that Tanya guarded for Rebecca with her serment that looked like a long shield, Marco whistled then pushed through the shield, blowing both with an invisible wind thrust making it look like it was his own strength. The two girls didn’t get damaged as it was a slight push. As another girl Milize came from behind with a great sword like meat cutter from behind trying to slash Marco, He took a step aside avoiding the slash then got the hunch that they were trying to kill him.

In that second he realized that killing isn’t forbidden at any cost.

“Stop, timeout! Are you trying to kill me?”.

Marco asked as he punched the sword to blow Milize away.

“Are you dumb?! the moment you stepped inside you wrote your death sentence”.

Miha answered him as she was a close combatant trying to get a punch landed on Marco who was surprised by that answer. He sighed then overcame her with speed and smacked her down before kicking her to guts and blowing her away at Tanya who tried to attack him again.

“I see, So let’s see if things will go the way I want. Fabia!!! If I win you’ll listen to me!! and If I lose you guys get to kill me or do whatever you want with me, I don’t mind being a slave either!!”.

Marco yelled so everyone could hear him after reaching the conclusion that he’s gonna use the show as a trump card.

“Like hell we would accept!!”.

Milize came from behind again trying to slash him down. At that moment Marco was already in a state of winning. He dodged the slash and punched her guts with a full force then grabbed her from the leg and smacked her down to the ground, Tanya and Miha tried to hit on him again therefore Marco grabbed the giant sword and hit Tanya in Miha’s direction to blow both of them then threw a wind thrust at Rebecca who came across from the left side.

The power scale wasn’t that of a fair match but Marco did his best.

“Seeing how they fight, I guess I won’t mind taking down another assassin who’s trying to hit me from behind”

Marco spouted some words on his own as he turned to face the fifth girl Melu who was hiding using her serment. She flustered but didn’t refrain from attacking him with a hidden weapon. Marco grabbed her by the arm though she was invisible and headbutted her.

“I guess it’s far from saying that it did end, you girls are weak. Give up” He mocked them straight on the face.

Marco said but didn’t expect that a sudden slash would get him from behind at full speed as he triggered a sensitive spot in their fighting spirit. That slash blew him away as he could hear the laughs of the people ,as clear as ever. He stayed on the ground for a few seconds before Tanya would try to squash him down, he pushed himself with wind to avoid her attack but that only led to Miha kicking him to the air and Rebecca smacking him down again.

“You’re in a bad state, are you sure you don’t release your serment?” Yuna asked as she was laughing at him for underestimating them.

He sighed and waved his hand with no as he saw some blood on his back.

“Just get lost, you are no different from these royalty that guy hates. You act like you can do anything but in the end you only think about yourselves” Rebecca said as she was surrounding him with the rest of the girls.

“You’re more sick than these royalties. Bunch of liars, you have no right to stand by any guild, no matter how much that man is strong. No matter what he does. You guys are the most discriminated fuckers, some horseshits walking like they have the right to live. Just go away or die here by our hand”

Milize and the rest of the girls added as Marco was still upside down in the crawls of the building he was blown to. He heard them and didn’t really mind what they were saying but for a first he felt offended knowing that his master still cherished some people who badmouthed him.

He exhaled his breaths and stood normally as if he wasn’t touched at all.

“Bitch please shut up, you’re making my ears bleed” Marco coldly replied as he was cracking his fists.

“What did you say! you sick fuck!!!”.

Miha was about to attack him, at that moment, Marco unleashed a strong euro pressure at them as the whole district felt that pressure.

Within the next moments the girls fell straight in front of the antique as Marco arrived after them.

“You’ll try a hit or you’ll listen?” Marco said as he stood facing Fabia who was watching silently. All the crowd were watching calmly as they didn’t think that would happen.

“Get inside and help me take the girls inside, you won the bet so I’m gonna listen to what you have”.

Fabia responded to his question as she made the people who were watching go away while Marco was taking the girls inside. She sighed as she made the girls lay down in the middle of the restaurant.

“I guess you’re no ordinary holder if Emilis sent you,”.

She was preparing some cold water and towels.

“Sorry for beating them, Master may not be the same in your looks but he’s a guy that my little brother and little sister admire. I’m a new member and not like the rest, would you mind?”.

Marco was talking as he saw her trying to wipe some of the blood from their injuries, Fabia looked at him then didn’t expect him to be able to heal all of them with euro particles.

“You’re a healer!!?” Fabia was amazed.

Marco looked at her as he was healing Melu.

“Ah, no I’m a holder of a short sword or a long knife I don’t really know what to call my serment” The moment he finished his words Marco dodged a punch from Melu who tried to hit him so she could leap aside.

“Fabia sama!! he’s dangerous, please run away!!!” Milize said as she was getting ready to fight again.

“Stop it you lot, Is this the way you thank the one who healed you in this instant” Fabia said, calming them down.

She was calm too as she saw a different type of thing but similar to what Emilis was resembling nine years ago.

“But Fabia sama!!” Tanya was still opposing.

“Shut up or else no payment for the rest of the week, since the restaurant is closed for what you girls did I guess it’s better to hear his side, he’s a newbie at red mermaid after all” Fabia had forced them to stand down and listen to what he had to say.

“Well, I’m gonna need a place to stay. I wanna search about something, master sent me some articles to read but if I did it in my home I might get stopped. I wanna know about the past of a girl called Carla Fullblack” as he said he again sighed before dodging a hit from Melu “Can you girls stop trying to attack me, I can pretty much beat your ass on my own you know, oh wait I already did that. So can I? He said that there’s a room up there he used to sleep in whenever he was working here. I’m more surprised that Fabia san is the starting point of our restaurant”.

Marco explained himself but didn’t really feel like he was welcomed because of his way with words.

“Fine, I’ll let you stay and use that room but I’m gonna expect from you to work after tomorrow when the antique gets fixed. Also, I advise you to stay out of searching about Carla chan’s past. I dunno what relationship you have with her, but this won’t bring any good to you no matter what you seek to find” Fabia said to him after taking her way to the booth side.

“Sorry but this is for the sake of my family, I don’t care what I learn about, if it fixes that problem then I’m good with whatever I found about” Marco said as he stood holding his bag.

“You’ll regret it one day boy. Meddling in something that isn’t related to you isn’t good, sometimes ignorance is bliss” she said with a calm face.

Marco looked at her then sighed.

“I don’t really get the idea of what you guys call feelings of regret, I don’t really understand that part either ways I’m gonna take what I want” Marco responded then went up stairs as the girls were watching him.

“Are we really passing through this again?” Melu asked as they were cleaning.

“Don’t ask me! That boy had a strange feeling on him. no matter what you look at it, he’s the polar opposite of everything as if he was a dead person hunting the past. at least that’s the vibe I get from him” answered Rebecca.

“Don’t question anything for the moment, he defeated us so we can’t really do anything about it” Milize was also upset.

“I guess it’s finally time to lift up the curtain about some things that were being hidden” Fabia mumbled before heading to her room.

The girls heard her and looked down with an upset face thinking that the past had come to hunt them down no matter what they tried to avoid.
