37th chapter : Hello , welcome back

After that sudden turn of events. Red mermaid members found themselves in the middle of the toss realm where criminals from the human realm get exiled too. More likely to be surprised at what they saw, Marco mostly explained a lot to them after that.

Alba responded to Emilis’ words as they were discussing the stuff away from where the other members were taking a rest. After meeting with them just recently, Alba asked Marco to introduce them since he didn’t recognize any one of them. In that moment Emilis had stepped out and spoke instead telling him to make it a private talk just between the two of them, and knowing Marco he had to put up some anti sound barriers so the conversation won’t be heard by anyone.

“Yeah, I’m afraid to say that I’m the only survivor by that time. Master Alteris and many others had died. Anyway putting this aside, I’m here to make them train, it was Marco’s idea but I’ll truly appreciate if you help us just like you helped him, Mister Alba Leonard”

Emilis smiled as he pronounced the full name of the old man Alba.

The two looked at each other as Emilis was smiling. Alba felt a little frightened but didn’t show any sign of fear and sighed.

“No one here knows about my full name so please don’t go and spread it like that, I’m sure you already know why I’m here right?” Alba returned the frightening smile as the two giggled after that.

“Of course!! as I’m now, I’m afraid that even taking a battle against you will make me lose an arm at least”.

Emilis himself was thinking of withdrawing from a fight as they looked at the red mermaid members sitting around barely able to lift a finger due to the density of the euro around.

On red mermaid’s side,

Arthur, who was all silent just a moment ago, looked at Marco and Sophie with a pouty look then spoke.

“ You two are really mean!”.

His words caught the attention of all red mermaid members as they looked at him.

“What do you mean Arthur nii?!!” Sophie was starting to get sad.

“Don’t cry Sophie!! But I’m sad that you guys had left such a cool place hidden from me!!! I felt sad that you were the only ones who were all smiling and stuff”

Arthur was honest as he said what he had inside his heart, but the reaction he was waiting for was kind of too much heartwarming for Marco who did what he had in mind too. Marco took a key from the second closet and threw it to him.

“What’s this for?!” Arthur asked as the others were too tired to argue with Marco for what he did.

“Just go upstairs with the others and see, you say some hurtful stuff from time to time too”.

Marco didn’t want to ruin the surprise as they all looked at him wanting to know more. After hearing Marco’s words, Arthur and the others took their leave and went upstairs with Sophie too. The next second Marco had a smug face after hearing all their shouting at what they saw, he soon followed after them.

“Well, you liked this didn’t you. During the six months I spent here, I was looking for a lot of things you liked. It was hard to describe you to Sophie but she helped a lot in getting most of them”.

Marco explained the sudden surprise that he left for Arthur in the room he and Sophie used to sleep in, There were a lot of items and many interesting things such as a weightless magnetized rocks that floats in the air and when it gets near each other it lets a small amount of euro particles to make some lights around.

“Seeing how you convinced him to stay calm just with a few items and rocks, I can say that you’re the incarnation of evil” Alex said while looking around to see a few more things.

Marco looked at her.

“I’m sorry that I didn’t prepare anything for you all, well I wasn’t expecting back then to return like this in the first place, neither coming back nor being a red mermaid holder” Marco said as he looked aside after taking out some books from a shelf under his bed then gave it to Alex “This will help you in training for the euro controlling. It’ll be hard for a while but there’s a lot of things I wrote inside”

Marco was far looking for their own safety as they all bowed after getting the wrong idea.

“Why bow to me?!” he asked.

“We got a wrong idea again so sorry!” Alice responded as the moment got embarrassing for them.

After that, they all went down again to where Emilis and Alba were talking.

“Oh you came back, Marco!! The lady in the third district needs help with something. Since you came back, help her and get some potions for the rest of your guild mates, and…. sigh, The electricity went out again, I need to .... fix it…?!”

Alba was talking then a sudden electric charge came to light up all the lights in the room. For a second, they all looked behind to see Arthur buzzing the switch.

After a few seconds, they all took a deep breath as Alice calmly said.

“You used an item from the items in the room right?!” she was desperately trying to deny the fact that Arthur used something else.

“Nope, I left them in the room. I used some lightning” He answered her question then demonstrated with a small amount of lightning from his palm, “I can’t use high voltages right now, so I end up only charging most of the electricity at home, at least when Marco isn’t around”.

His reply left the others trying to hit Marco for some reason.

Marco dodged and leaped to the door.

“I guess that’s why the bills weren’t that expensive, way to go Arthur. I guess I’m not the only one who keeps secrets” Marco’s reply had Alba smacking him for that.

“I’m not surprised as much as the others by now, and looking at Master’s smug face, means he knew about it a long time ago. Am I wrong, master?!” Carla said as she grinned awkwardly after that.

“You can say that, for now you guys need to take a rest so the others will…” before Emilis would finish his words as sudden loud rustling sounds were heard outside.

“Not again!?” Alba said as he was heading outside to settle a problem.

“The same group as always?” Marco asked as they all went outside not knowing what he meant by that.

“Yeah, But this time they got some power up for now, it’s kinda annoying since many people around are complaining about it”.

Alba explained shortly to Marco who sighed after that.

“I’ll take them on,” Marco calmly responded while stretching his arms and legs.

“Are you sure?! I mean I haven’t seen your serment yet, but ok!”

Alba said as the others were getting a little mad at how Marco is reacting calmly.

“It’ll be for a short while but I’m gonna be back, Sophie don’t follow me ok!” Marco spoke as he was done stretching.

Alba felt like something changed in Marco since the last time they met. In the second that Alba was about to talk, Marco vanished from their sights. As the next second, Alba realized that he saw Marco already in the middle of the air knocking the leader ahead of the bandits who were riding some bikes.

The bandits realized that their boss was smacked down from the bike before they looked up to see Marco standing on a chain with a dark aura roaming around him, leaving only the pale green eyes of him shining to scare them. He exhaled his breaths then coldly spoke.

“Yo, been a while shitheads. I see that you’ve become more stubborn than ever with these new toys you got” while talking Marco stepped down from the chains and released his serment.

“You bastard!!!” their leader said as he rose to his feet “It was you then!!!” Their words were filled with raging anger as they thought they would take on Marco so easily.

A few moments later,

“How the hell did you come back?!!”.

The leader said as he was upside down beaten up while being caught with the chains, just like the rest of the others who were pinned down.

“What business do you have with me anyway!!?” The leader was still angry but instantly calmed down in fear as Marco looked him straight in the eyes.

“That’s none of your business and I’ll kill you if I see you roaming around these districts again, are my words understandable to you?!” Marco responded with a cold look.

“What!? what tha?!” The leader was still trying to rebel.

“Are my words understandable?” Marco said his words again with a euro pressure on the back as they all feared him.

“Sir!! Yes sir!!! we will not attack again!!! neither attack nor disturb the peace!!! Thank you for not killing us Sir!!!”.

They all started acting like some scared soldiers after that. Hearing their words made the people who were watching laugh at them while Marco was putting back his glasses.

“You made them struggle against you?! you made them struggle against you!!! and you’re using chains too!!! a good impact for what I taught you!!! Man!! I’m a proud teacher!! Man!! That was awesome!!”.

Alba rushed, applauding to what he just saw as the others were also surprised by the sudden fight that Marco pulled off on his own as they all thought it was far way too leveled up from what he was fighting like just a few weeks ago.

After seeing what Marco did, Alba looked behind him to red mermaid members and asked them straightly what happened during the last few months.

“I see, so he grew up this much. I guess it can’t be helped. I’m willing to train you all, so please don’t hesitate on anything you want from now on. He’ll be on his own for now but he’ll do much more good than you guys” Alba’s response made them quite happy.

“I can finally train myself on using Lightning!!!” Arthur was the most hyped one.

“Huh?! you have a serment at this age?!”.

Alba was surprised but not as much as he was when he made Marco train for the first time. In that aspect, Arthur’s appearance was just a trial to what he really holds deep inside.

Arthur pouted a little at what Alba said then Carla responded instead.

“He has none, Just like Marco, I guess he can use some kind of power?” she was upset though.

“Well, don’t sweat the small stuff. Marco and his siblings are a rare case so just focus on getting stronger for now. It’ll be a hindrance if you guys would stop growing.”

Alba was talking as they all entered the restaurant again.

“it’s true but?!” Alice talked first but they all felt ashamed.

“There’s no buts, I guess you all feel a little sad because of his growing or more like frustrated but I don’t think this will help for now. I’m not acquainted a lot with Marco and the same goes for you, so we really don’t know where that overwhelming strength came from. Just for a fragment of time, I can make you go through the same training, and it’ll be for you to decide whether you’re up to grow again or not. From what I heard from Emilis about you guys, I guess you feel what it’s like to lose right?!” Alba continued a small lecture.

“Well...” they tried to answer.

“That’s good actually, when he came first. He was clueless about anything from this world or even about the euro. I bet he gave you his book about his training, right?! The current red mermaid members know hardships more than any other guild, that’s why you’ll grow more than any guild. I’m not sure about it but at least be prepared to be called monsters after this”.

Alba smiled at them before he would put some book in front of them as it was the book that Marco used a few times ago when he was in the toss realm.

Upon hearing what Alba said to them, they all felt like a new door had been opened for them.

“If that’s the case then I guess you need some help right?” Alex said as she looked at Alba preparing some stuff.

“Huh? Help in what?” He asked, not understanding what she meant.

“Hmm, help with the evaluation and stuff. You know as the navigator of the guild I can only contribute in this kind of way” she responded explaining what she had in mind.

Alba looked at her then patted her head a few pats.

“You sure are funny but you’ll also train with them too!! you came as a whole guild didn’t you!?!” he chuckled over what she said as they all felt like he was joking, “The day is still long, you guys are going to start training after an hour!!”.

Alba was dead serious as they all looked at him then turned around to Emilis who giggled at them too.

“Don’t look at me, I’ll be in his care too. So please have a good day!! As for now, I’m gonna go back to the human realm for quick work!!” Emilis said as he smiled at them then calmly walked away betraying their expectation.

“Stop master!! Where are you leaving us!?!” Alice rushed outside to speak with him.

“Hmm hmm!! I’ll leave everything in your care for a while so don’t be pushy and train calmly. He’ll be a good help. I’m just gonna have some business for a while, just say around two days. I’ll bring some other stuff like you all clothes and close your houses for a while, it’ll be a long three months!!” Emilis explained to them as they all felt backstabbed.

An hour later,

“Huh?!! Where are we?!!?”.

Alice said as they all woke up suddenly in a strange place. After looking around with the others, they saw that they came back to the forest where they fell the first time.

“A weird dream!?” Zack asked.

“Not a dream actually” Marco answered as he was standing in front of them.

“You did this?!” Alex asked.

“Actually that was Alba sensei’s work!!!” Sophie responded as she was sitting next to Carla.

“Alba sensei?!”.

They all said trying to remember what really happened just an hour ago, in the process they all heard a growling of wild beasts getting close to them. Marco didn’t waste his time jumping to a tree, they didn’t understand why he did that.

Arthur looked around and was about to jump too but for some reason he was in the same state as the others.

“You guys are going to run away from the puppies over there!! with no serments to fight them!!” Marco shouted so they could hear him as they looked at him with shocked faces.

“Haaa!! Jokes on you, I can use lightning!!!” Arthur was getting overconfident.

“That’s right!! Good boy!! Fight them for us!!” they all stepped low so they could run away from it.

“You really think so?” Marco responded.

As they all looked at Arthur not being able to produce any, Marco giggled for the first time in front of them as he gave Sophie some small rocks.

“Arthur! you wanted to train right, since you told Alba sensei you want to grow too. He told master Emilis to put a limitation to what you can do based on the level of the others too, if they don’t succeed you don’t. Now start running folks!!”.

Marco’s devilish smile made life sneak away from their faces as the growls were starting to get louder. And so it started, Red mermaid members’ training camp.
