From the beginning of time. A god drifted through space all by himself for thousands of years. He became bored by himself. So he started creating a world with his vast magic. After years upon years of making the world. He was finally satisfied. With the world created, he started making living creatures.
After thousands of years he became bored again. The creatures he made were from his own imagination. Meaning he could perceive everything they would do before they would do it. He then split a portion of his power off and created four lesser gods. With him still retaining the most power between them and becoming the greater god.
He assigned them rules to follow each overseeing a different aspect of the world. Thus the five gods were formed.
The god of life- creating humanoids and animals who would create life themselves through birth.
The god of death- tasked with killing the humanoids and animals so they didn't become complacent.
The god of creation- creating all forms of buildings items and jobs of the world.
The god of destruction- his only goal was the destruction of everything in the world, he created natural disasters.
The first thing the god of life did was start creating beings to roam the land. The god of death swiftly killed everything... This angered the greater god. Who began to place rules on the world. All the god's weren't allowed to interfere with creatures after they're created. Leaving them to grow and have free will to live their lives how they wished.
With the rule being set. Each god began to make creatures to serve their purposes. The god of life created most of the humanoid creatures. Building cities and protecting themselves as well as trying to further their lives. It seemed fitting to the god of life. The humanoids didn't know how to build anything at first but quickly borrowed ideas from the god of creation.
The god of death created creatures to try and cause as much chaos in the world as possible. killing and eating everything that was possible. His bosses were so strong that he could only create very few of them. They needed to live in high mana areas to continue living without being weakened.
With the god of deaths boss monsters were weakened without areas with high mana in the world. So the god of death also made weaker creatures known as monsters. Who would attempt to kill the humanoids.
The monsters were easily killed by the humanoids. So the god of death had to make the humanoids have a reason to fight the boss monsters in high mana areas.
The god of death asked the god of creation to make fortresses later called dungeons that would protect the bosses. He then tied items to each one that would be created with the mana in the area. Along with the bosses themselves should they die. These items were extremely valuable. The first dungeon clearers quickly used their new found items to became royalty. This sparked an interest in clearing dungeons that hasn't disappeared from the world yet.
The bosses could move around and destroy humanoids but the only way they would be at full strength would be to make fortresses or lairs to gather mana from the area. So the bosses quickly devolved into hit and run tactics with towns to try and force humanoids to invade the dungeons and lairs to fight.
While this was happening the god of destruction was creating natural disasters. He also created traps inside the dungeons and many other deadly things towards all creatures.
A few years had passed but a few problems started occurring. The humanoids children when born would be soulless and wouldn't move on their own. While it would be easy enough to make souls for each human in the beginning. It would quickly overwhelm the god of life's capabilities if they kept giving birth to an increasing number of people.

The god of life asked the greater god for help. So he created another god to help keep the loss of souls down called the god of rebirth. While the god of life would still have to make new souls to keep up with the increase in humanoids the god of rebirth could use the souls of the dead to reduce the amount of souls needed to be created.
Things went on this way for thousands of years. Many new creatures, humanoids, bosses and monsters were created. It was becoming boring again for the greater god. So he created two more gods. The god of balance and the god of chaos. Each god would have slightly more influence over the life forms of the world.
The god of balance's job was to keep everything running smoothly. While the god of chaos's sole goal was to cause disruption throughout the land. It kept the greater god entertained watching the two opposing gods clash with each other. The god of chaos loved inciting wars with thousands of deaths brought about by his simple influence. The god of balance tried to keep everything the same. To the point where it hindered progress in the world.
After thousands of more years though, all the gods started to become bored as well. The god of chaos suggested to the greater god that they should each be allowed to make demigods to roam the land. The greater god agreed and all the gods were given the right to make three demigods which would do their bidding.
While extremely strong, the demigods could be killed. This was to avoid the god of death from creating demigods that would kill everything. Or the god of destruction creating demigods that would just destroy everything. Each god created their own set of demigods. The time it took to make a powerful demigod was fifty years. So losing a single one would disrupt the balance between the opposing gods.
Thousands of more years later...Boredom struck again. All the gods had been alive for thousands of years now. Seeing everything play out multiple times. So the gods all combined their powers creating a human race. With some of each god in them. Humans could do everything but they weren't the best at anything.
Compared to other races though, they were still too weak. While being balanced they didn't excel at anything and were targeted by everything from monsters to other humanoids. Almost being pushed to extinction shortly after being created.
So the gods gave them extra strength in the form of a class called learning. With enough work and effort the humans could create new classes with the first class. Humans quickly gained their footing back.
Humans had become too strong. To the point of pushing other creatures and races to extinction. Learning class was too strong. So the god of balance weakened it. It was made to have an extremely difficult time leveling. Also reducing the stats gained by a huge amount. The learning class could no longer make new classes anymore.
He also put a limit on the number of classes you could have when you reincarnated. He combined all the souls so that human souls would mix with the humanoids giving them the ability to use classes. Without a clear advantage or disadvantage the humans became just another humanoid race.
All the classes made were further balanced. So none were too much stronger than any other class. The god of balance also worked together with the god of reincarnation to make a system to determine the strength of classes for each reincarnated person.
Thousands more years have passed. Everything has calmed down since humans have been created. It is present day now. All humans have forgotten about the learning class. No one even looks at the shrine anymore.
