I rush over to her. The second she hits the ground her head pops up. It startles me how fast she springs back up. She is completely unharmed… WHA- HOW!? She looks down at herself and checks her body for injuries… I see none and she doesn't look to be injured either… Once again I wonder HOW! She pulls something out of her back pocket… The sacrifice doll I gave her for protection is torn to pieces. Thank god! Thank the gods!
I look more at the doll… The battle noises around me seem to be drowned out by this item… The injures that now cover it. Stuffing seeps from almost every spot on the doll. It is missing an arm… Half it's face is blown off… The feeling of fear when she had been struck followed by happiness when she was fine… Slowly turns to anger at what they have just done to Leaf.
For them to hurt MY LEAF! I clench my teeth so hard that the void tooth shatters the one above it. Clenching my fists so hard that I can feel the metal portion rubbing against Aegis start to bleed. MY LEAF! THEY DARE HURT MY LEAF! I start to see red. I start to pull all of the stored stats and resources in Aegis. I hear him call out.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING! THAT IS DANGEROUS!”
I don't care! I'm too angry to care for my own safety. I know how to win this fight. I need to kill Gold! The anger finally gets the best of me as I black out.

Leaf's point of view
I had just gotten the wings and for one second… I had forgotten where I was. All I could think of at the time was how much I wanted to fly... Flying high enough to be shot down by the cannons once. I had thought I was going to die. Immense pain all over my body. For a split second it feels as if my arm has been torn off. I go to cry out in pain but it also feels like my lungs have been punctured… I fall to the ground and feel every single ounce of this pain… The pain of dying… But I don't.
The second I hit the ground the shock of the pain wears off. I instinctively lean forwards and shock everyone around me who had just witnessed me get struck with a rock fired from a cannon. I start checking myself. How did I survive this? I feel something in my back pocket almost fall apart… Pulling it out I see the doll that Kite had given me… This is the savior of my life. I look up at him and the expression of fear starts to change to happiness… It looks as if he is about to cry… Then he focuses on the doll he gave me… I can see the look in his eyes change again. Shift into something different. I can hear Aegis cry out now.
“What are you doing! That is dangerous!”
He turns to face me… That isn't Kite anymore… He speaks.
“Forgive Kite for what I'm about to do.”
With the strength I've never seen Kite ever show. The person… The thing that is Kite right now launches himself into the air. Quickly turning into a dragon, he flies towards the building slamming into it.
I hear cannon fire proceed this, then hear the sound of men in pain cry out again… I'm not sure what just happened… But I still need to help everyone… We need more healers, the ones we have are already too spread out… I just wish I could be in more then one place at a time… I think quickly… Then create 10 clones of myself with conjure greater familiar. Adding in almost every last bit of fatigue points I have to make them bigger, stronger and better versions of themselves. I fall down weakened from the process. My clones rush off in all directions to heal the injured. Kite is gone… Without a leader this army might fall apart. Even in my weakened state I start yelling out orders to people before a notice pops up.
Would you like to learn Sage?
Warning! You will lose several other classes by doing so.
Green's point of view
I hear a loud nose. One as loud as the mana cannons except coming from a close by wall. I look back and notice Kite is now visibly in the air. He changes into his dragon form and quickly and dodges several rocks fired from the mana cannons. He flies quick, quicker then I've ever seen anything move at the building. Slamming into it with enough force to smash through a foot thick concrete wall. What the fuck is he doing? The battlefield is quiet for the first time since we've started… Everyone is onlooking as the dragon that came out of no where and crashed into the building… I make the call while they are distracted, I call out to my troops.
“CHARGE!”
Pirate cannoneer's point of view
I'm glad I have this mission. Sit in a long hallway facing out on the battlefield and fire cannons at the enemies as they get closer. This will be the least likely spot we will die. Even if the enemy beats us, we will most likely surrender before they ever get into this room. With that safety, I feel almost at ease that I am not on the battl-. CRASH!
On the opposite side of the room, something just slammed through a foot of concrete. HOW!? WHAT!? I look over. I can't see all the way across the room. It is a very narrow room. I start hearing the screams of people. Of my friends being cut down from the other side.
“AHHH!”
“NO NO NO NO! GAH!”
“STOP PL-.”
“MERC- PFFSH.”
I can see what it is now. A man rushes towards us. His sword is gigantic, twice the size of himself. Far too unwieldy to use with one hand. But he is. Driving the end of the sword through one of the men and throwing him at the next. Dragging the giant sword along the ground to finish off the pirate now downed by his own ally. Swinging it at the next and cutting him in half along with leaving a giant gash in the wall at his swing. I pull out my bow, my hands visibly shaking as I fire and he catches the arrow mid air without any hesitation in his movements. I am cut in half a second later. I am dead.
Gobber's point of view
What is she doing!? Green rushes forwards with her men, out of position as Kite slams into a building. I expect there to be some sort of repercussion from the mana cannons… Seconds after waiting with no response, I make a similar call.
“CHARGE BUT STAY IN FORMATION!”
We push in behind the few elementalists at about half the speed. Green throws herself into the air with a rock creation formed underneath her and shoots herself all the way over the pirates. Landing on the second story, she starts closing the few cannon holes. It was still reckless. I see one of the pirates who was too afraid to jump down attempt to sneak up behind her. I had my bow out and launch an arrow catching him as he holds his weapon mid air about to strike Green. He falls off the second floor. Green continues to seal the holes up almost not noticing the man… Fucking shit, I'm going to need to protect her ass until she is finished…

Nami's point of view
We've managed to sneak into the base but they are heavily prepared. Entering the room there are hundreds of pirates waiting for us. Kite had given us the exact spot that Gold's room was. Of course she wouldn't still be there. We are the only ones allowed to use lethal force as of right now. Everyone else is to use poisoned weapons to lower the amount of casualties on the pirates side. I get it, the pirates are being used but at the same time... The pirates are the ones who stole the children from my village... I can't forgive them even for a second, even though they were just following the orders of a madwoman.
We spend 10 minutes fighting them all. Outnumbered 5 to 1, we still manage to defeat them fairly easily as more men continue to rush into the room. With an explosion, both sides stop fighting for a few seconds… I wonder what that was… It was loud enough to be heard in the middle of the main building. It almost felt as if something had struck the building. We continue to fight.
After a few more minutes of non stop fighting, one of the men rushes in and says.
“Just hold them back! We have bigger problems! A monster is running wild through the base and killing everything it comes across! The backup we were expecting has been annihilated!”
What monster is it I think to myself.
Trice's point of view
What is Kite doing? He just slammed into the side of a building and started the real fight off. I start to hear Leaf give orders… At least we still have a competent leader… I would have rather not had to take charge so I breath a sigh of relief when I hear her. My group of archers starts launching poison covered arrows at the sidelines of pirates. Each one struck falls to the ground, almost paralyzed in place. As if on cue, more pirates come rushing out from the sides of main building. Hiding in the shadows and cover of some kind. The numbers now swell to double… 2000 pirates are now on the battlefield and more continue to rush out. Leaf calls for smaller forces to stop them from joining with the main forces.
The new awakened class I had gotten earlier is going to come in handy. I just wish we had more time, I tried asking Kite for more help but it always felt like the wrong time to ask. He is too busy and I hate asking him for help. I start ordering my troops to start firing on the back lines of the pirates the lizard men's group is contesting.
Strong's point of view
The main forces are contesting the bulk of the pirates. My small group of 50 lizard men are here to hold back the rushing pirates. We are easily outnumbered by 5 if not 10 to 1 on the side we are blocking. My men all form an impenetrable wall. The first wave of pirates slam against us and we push them back. Another wave come behind them and help push and we still push them back. A third wave begins to push against the second wave. We are about to get pushed back but a wave of arrows is launched into all the pirates behind them. As if they hadn't expected it, their formation starts to weaken. Enough for us to continue holding them back. More arrows continue to assist us. I'll have to give that little girl leading them some praise for her timely assistance after this battle.
Epieoth's point of view
We continue to hold the side of building back with our men. Leaf ordered the demon tribe to block this side and that is what we are doing. We don't have to clash with the enemies. Instead, my men pull out our spears and hold them back from approaching by spearing through the few who get close. Wave after wave crashing into the spears and Dying or getting poisoned. Bodies are piling up as the pirates in the back push the pirates in front forwards into the death trap. No sense of camaraderie is given as each men is only looking to save his own life. Some men try to circle around but an alternate route is blocked with a wall created by Green. She goes nuts and slams into the ground, causing a shock wave almost. The ground ripples towards the enemies and knocks them all down. We take this opportunity to move forwards and stab some of the close by ones who were knocked down.
She yells out to us.
“You demon folk better respect us elementalists now!”
She launches herself into the air again, landing into the main battlefield and causing another shock wave for the main force to capitalize on.
Arrius's point of view
Me and Gold sit in a room waiting for the ambushing party to enter… I still don't understand everything but Gold says if we sit in this room until the fighting is done, we'll be okay. Hearing the sounds of battle makes me wonder why I am not out there fighting though. We don't have many good pirates left in this group. An assassin had managed to kill the bulk of them. I get tired of waiting and ask a question.
“Why do we have to sit in here? We could be out there doing something.”
“Patience my husband. This fight will be over before you even realize it. The pirates are only the distraction for the main course. No matter how superior the opponents are, they will not be able to beat my army… I guess it is time to unleash the real enemies.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, do you remember how I have been slowly changing our men into ghouls? I just ordered the ghouls to enter the battlefield. No matter how strong the enemies are, they will not be able to fight evenly against this enemy. With the pirate troops distracting them, the ghouls will go ballistic against them. Seeing as it only takes a single scratch to start the changing process to a ghoul. It will only be a matter of time before they are all defeated.”
“I still don't understand the plan though.”
“It is simple you fool! We wait inside until the troops kill each other. The ghouls will convert the enemies into more ghouls. Anyone who dies isn't worthy of being in my army. After all the enemies are converted into ghouls, my ghouls with turn on the remaining humans converting them. There is no cure to being infected, so it will only be a matter of time until both armies are under my rule… From there, the war between the two continents will be starting soon. If we can get the ghouls there, we can convert even more humans into ghouls. It will end with me ruling the nation of ghouls with you by my side as my death knight. Or you can rush out their and die with all of my other failures of subordinates.”
…I think I just realized how crazy Gold has become… It is far too late to back down now though.
