"That's no cause for worry, everyone. I've already killed Mary."
Frank's words left the bigwigs astounded even before they could leave, dejected.
While they were deliberately trying to screw Frank over, they also knew that he was not about to fall for it, only for him to have done it already.
It was certainly exciting, as they had been plotting to eliminate Frank as he was one of the local bigwigs. And now that he had messed with someone he should not have messed with, they did not even have to lift a finger as that a behemoth would soon come bearing down on his head!
"Well, farewell, Mr. Frankton! Remember to keep both eyes on your back now!"
As Tim and the other off-state bigwigs laughed and left, Sayna refrained from rubbing Frank's nose in the matter.
"Mr. Frankton," she told him, "just call upon me and family if you need help in the future. My family won't hold anything back."
After all, she had a clearer picture of Frank's power, and some mere business conglomerate would never get the better of him.
On the other hand, Donnie was unsure if he should laugh or cry. "Could you stop rubbing our noses in it, Ms. Quill? Mr. Frankton is already in deep trouble!"
Sayna smiled, shaking her head. "Do you still have no idea how powerful your friend really is, Mr. Ingram? Forget Mary-not even a hundred people like her would win against him."
Still, she turned to leave, knowing that there was no getting through to Donnie.
Donnie hurried to Frank's side right then. "Mr. Frankton, perhaps you should lay low for a while! My people have told me about BM Group, and they're quite the nasty bunch, so just try not to cause more trouble for a while..."
Frank smiled but said nothing. Even though Donnie was really underestimating just then, he still had to admit that he appreciated the gesture.
However, Donnie thought that Frank was not running because he was worried that Donnie would renege on his promise and promptly assured him, "Don't worry your engagement with my daughter still stands! If you're that worried about it, you can go on the run with her. I'll organize your wedding once this blows over!"
Frank chuckled and clapped him on the shoulder. "Just keep an eye out. I'll show you the measures of the man who deserves your daughter's hand in marriage."
Then, while Donnie was left stumped, Frank left with Jouri.
Sue was waiting by the car,
laughing. Bravo! Snapping a lady's neck just because she rubbed you the wrong way? I do wonder if I'd have as many enemies as you do if I had your swagger."
Jouri giggled. That's why you're not him. He had the guts to do it, unlike you. Heck, even if you killed her, you're not going to put it to rest once and forall, and you're gonna bring more trouble to your doorstep."
Sue had to nod in agreement. "So, who's this lady? Are you going to introduce me?"
"Hi. I'm Jouri Yelin."
"I'm Sue Fisher. Refined ladies like you are far easier on the eyes, unlike Jada Turin who always has a chip on her shoulder."
"Oh, but you're more refined than I am, Ms. Fisher, being the heiress to an important family!"
Frank certainly could not stand the two ladies' flattery for each other and got into the car.
Seeing that, Sue quickly followed, while Jouri told them, "You kids head on back. I send you a full dossier on Mary later, so that you can prepare. And don't worry-we have some people on hand to handle whatever they might dish out."
"I'm not worried," Frank said and told the chauffeur to drive.
When they returned to Frank's office half an hour later, Jada was at once surprised and delighted when she saw them. "You really killed her?"noveldrama
"Why are you getting so excited? Did you have a plan in mind already?" Sue snorted in annoyance.
