The Reaper continued absorbing the power of every Crossover Judge in the world, convinced he could win.
However, as the Bloodthirster Bone Sword once again pierced the Reaper's body, a strange sensation overcame him. "What's happening? Why? Why is my power starting to fade?" The Reaper looked at Nash in a panic.
"Strange, isn't it?" Nash remarked. "Your soul remains unchanged, yet you can't absorb any more power, am I right?"
Following Nash's gesture, the Reaper saw Ronan standing behind him, hands extended toward him. That power... it was unmistakable.
"Your original ability locks one's soul to absorb true energy. I'm not wrong, am I?" Nash continued.noveldrama
This was the method used against Theo, and the assailant was the green-faced elder.
Enhanced by the potion, his ability was not just brute force; he could lock a person's soul. This long-forgotten power was now turned against him. The Reaper looked at Ronan in disbelief.
With a smug expression, Clint said, "Don't compare my high-level barrier with your flimsy tricks. My entry points can be anywhere."
Nash then channeled the energy capable of destroying the Reaper into the mix. Everyone quickly retreated.
The best way to defeat this foe was to push his body to the limit of his godly power. No matter how strong his body was, it had to have a breaking point. Once he lost control, they could kill him easily, for a mindless monster was much easier to handle.
Just then, Xenith appeared around the Reaper's swelling body, hoping to seize his power and restore himself as the king demon. However, Clint was already wary of Xenith's movements. He slowed his time and moved him away
"I told you, this space is my domain. Don't you understand?" Clint's black hole space allowed him to manipulate everything without worrying about true energy
consumption. Maintaining the el
was his only cost as it continuously
absorbed the energy of those within it.
In other words, Clint was merely using their own energy against them, though it lacked offensive power.
Immediately afterward, the Reaper
transformed into a giant monster roaring madly. Clint immobilized the creature and shouted, "Nash Finish
him with one strike!"
"I don't need you to tell me twice," Nash replied, his Bloodthirster Bone Sword already charged.
"Unleash!" The Bloodthirster Bone Sword grew immensely. Nash leaped into the air, stepping on the time rift created by Clint. "It's over!" he declared, slicing down.
The giant monster was quickly cleaved in two, disintegrating into ashes as the Reaper's power dissipated.
After that, Clint retracted the black hole barrier, and they all returned to reality.
Mosley and Xenith accompanied Nash and the others back to Drakonia.
"What's this..." Mosley found himself in the sky at an immense altitude.
"Xenith!" he called out.
Meanwhile, Xenith had turned into a bird-man to catch Mosley.
"Damn, the plan failed," Xenith muttered. He was now forced to follow Mosley's lead.
