In the Southern Territory, the battle between Clint and Malvol continued.

Clint knew he had expended too much energy earlier, and now, it was crucial to end the fight quickly. He felt his true energy continuously draining and decided to take a decisive risk.

Even though he was unsure how long he could last if he dragged Malvol into the alternate dimension, there was no time

hesitate.

Hence, Clint and Deluca charged at Malvol again.

Malvol summoned the Doom Spawns to attack. He controlled four of them while the others, who had no warrior capabilities, stood ready to shield him in case of any unexpected attacks.

He could control the positions of the Doom Spawns he had marked, but those who had removed the lotus mark, like Stellar, were beyond his reach.

Nevertheless, Malvol felt confident in defeating Clint. He knew Clint's tactics and aimed to keep him at a distance, using the Doom Spawns for the offensive.

Very quickly, Clint activated a magical array that immobilized the four Doom Spawns.

Then, both Clint and Deluca rushed toward Malvol again.

"The same ability as Mosley... No... These aren't real demons; they're products of that purple doom energy," Clint noted curiously as the creatures closed in on them.

"Is there a way to break the curse?" Ruin asked, puzzled.

Zirconia replied, "Oh? Even you're surprised? It seems you don't fully understand the deal you made with that old man. Your memory holds many secrets, including the way to help me break the curse."

"What way?" Ruin questioned.

"Are you truly ignorant or just pretending?" Zirconia snarled.

"Take a guess," Ruin retorted.

"Those purple creatures seem more like a curse!" Clint shouted to Deluca. "It makes sense now."

The purple monsters halted. "The attack just now was Malvol guiding the creatures with his true energy. If we don't use our true energy, they won't attack us," Clint deduced correctly.

However, Malvol would not let them have it their way. Since they would not initiate the attack, he would force them to.

Malvol hurled a volley of silver needles at them. Clint quickly used his power to shift their position, but this activated the creatures, which ferociously attacked.

Though numerous, these monsters were much weaker than Mosley's summoned demons and could be dispersed with a single strike.

Meanwhile, Zirconia revealed her bone structure that was glowing in ghostly purple. "See this?"

Ruin noticed the purple on her bones was fading, turning back to black

"So, that's how it is. Except for your subordinates, anyone who kills these creatures weakens the curse on you until it eventually vanishes.

"Exactly."

Deluca unleashed his wings and dispelled the demons around him with a burst of magic.

In an instant, he sped toward Malvol with Clint Malvol anticipated Clint would be the one to deliver the final blow, so he dismissed Deluca as a mere child unable to control true energy.

When they reached him, Malvol teleported away, placing a powerless Doom Spawn in their path. Knowing he could not waste energy here, Clint quickly dispelled the barrier.

At that moment, Malvol reappeared behind them and launched silver needles, one of which pierced Clint's neck.

Protected by his wings, Deluca avoided the needles and immediately slammed the Doom Spawn out of the way.
