Chapter 2311

After the series of experiments, the scientist determined that Frank was the most suitable test subject, though that was already beyond doubt.

Sue was not sure if she should laugh or cry. "You think? If he isn't a suitable test subject, who would be?"

The scientist smiled in wry amusement. "You have to understand, Ms. Fisher-procedure is always necessary, or we'd have trouble answering questions in case of trouble."

Sue actually had to agree with that-if Frank's physical numbers did not reach the necessary threshold, she would be grilled by Alda and the others for conducting an experiment recklessly. On top of that, she could not live with that on her conscience either.

Afterwards, Igor gave Frank a day to condition himself, after which they would start injecting Frank with various serums.

Naturally, each was administered at a small dosage to test if Frank was allergic. The experiment would truly start when they were sure that he was neither resistant nor allergic.

While Igor had no one willing to invest in building a research center for him because he had yet to gain any accomplishments, his breakthrough in research meant that many bigwigs were rushing to put in their investments.

However, while Igor appeared to be carefree, he actually had an attitude. Endlessly grateful to Sue for investing when he needed it, he was able to refuse the bigwigs.

Naturally, the bigwigs were not just going to let slip such a chance. They would pull strings just to contact alumni from Igor's university days, corrupting even other students from his grade school or junior high.

Even if they did not secure any investment, Igor still had to work in Shagan. As such, those bigwigs became his friends after getting Sue's permission, albeit in name only.

Though Igor considered them frivolous, he could not say no when they insisted on visiting when they heard he was starting human trials.

Sue nodded in approval. She was not that fussy-if anything, she was worried that they would try anything funny.

As such, every Shagan bigwig-aside from Sue's own father Tim Fisher and a handful of others were all present.

Even if the serums proved workable after sufficient evidence, that was on monkeys and not humans. No matter how similar they were in DNA, there might still be accidents.

If anything, most of the bigwigs did not really hold out much hope for the experiment.

"Greetings, everyone!"

Sue walked up to greet the bigwigs while pointing at Frank in the lab. "That's Mr. Frankton of Frankton Group. I'm sure everyone would have heard of him?"

So why would he risk his own life like this?

"Ms. Fisher, we're more curious about your silver tongue than hisz curious resume. You have to be Odysseus himself, talking a man like him into becoming your first ab rat."

A youth strode up, holding up a thumbs-up to Sue.

Sue snorted, recognizing him as the GTR driver who had raced her not that long ago. "Oh, it's you. I wouldn't have given you permission to come if I knew."

The youth laughed. "You're kidding! Ian Laney, at your service-I may look like this, but I'm an authority in medicine myself. Ask the others if you don't believe me!"

A middle-aged man strode up beside lan, nodding. "Don't make light of Mr. Laney now. He's internationally renowned, and not your average savant."

Sue remained uninterested. "Not your average savant? The man in that lab is himself a famous miracle worker. Do you think you'd win against him?"
