Chapter 2307

Sue alighted and smiled at the GTR driver. "You're just too young to understand certain things."

As she finished, she glanced pointedly at Frank-she really was in a bind, and they would have crashed if Frank did not intervene in time.

Still, she had included Frank in her calculations even before she pulled her stunt and was therefore not that worried.

"I see... I guess I lack vital experience!" The GTR driver nodded. "I'm sorry if I had been insulting before, Ms. Fisher. Can I buy you lunch as an apology?"

Sue glanced at the sun, which had not even risen above the mountains, and shook her head. "Sorry, but I just had breakfast. Not hungry!"

With that, the GTR driver had no choice but to leave. He could press his luck if he won, but his skill had proven lacking when he was beaten at the very last second.

It seemed that he would have to train more and beat Sue eventually!

With that, Sue returned to her Lamborghini and stopped at the gas station, sighing. "Sport cars are great at everything, except for their tiny gas tanks!"

Frank smiled in wry amusement. "If you knew that, why would you go for a race?"

"I refuse to be made light of." Sue shrugged and was soon done filling the gas tank.

Soon, they were in Shanton, a city with a long history. On one side were glass and steel modern structures that reached into the skies, while the other were tidy rolls of low, antiquated buildings filled with crowds of people.

"A nice place, no?" Sue smiled. "You can't leave Shagan, but you don't have to stick to a small town-it gets boring real quick. Come over to Shanton instead, and your business would rise to new heights!"

Frank nodded but said nothing-it was exactly what he had planned, but there were also many loose ends that needed tying up.

Once those were settled, then they could start planning to move bases.

Soon, Sue stopped her Lamborghini outside a vast residence, with a sign that read: Fawkes Biological Research.

"This is it!"

Sue alighted and led Frank into the old-fashioned mansion, where countless researchers in lab coats were working, an odd match for the interior design.

"By the way, it's thanks to the

spiritron vein that I bought a nice

place like this. I was going to be content with a research center far from town, but the spiritron veiled me to the owner of this mansion.

"He gave it up after a little threatening," Sue continued, but quickly added, "though I paid him in full. I didn't just rob him like the spiritron vein suggested."

Frank's thoughts were not with that, noveldrama

An assortment of creatures were being bathed in the green fluid, and there were cardiograms and other equipment observing their vitals... just like Sally's lab! "Welcome, Ms. Fisher!" A fortyish balding man walked up to Sue just then.

Sue smiled at him and turned back to Frank. "Mr. Frankton, meet Igor Leitner, our head researcher. He's young, but he's an authority in his field of biotechnology." "Igor, this is Lugh Frankton, CEO, board chairman and the top shareholder of Frankton Group!"

"Nice to meet you!" Igor shook Frank's hand and quickly flattered him. "Your reputation precedes you, Mr. Frankton... and you're special, just as people say you are! And this... is this the spiritron vein?"

Igor started to study the ring on Frank's finger obsessively, as if drawn to it.
