To think a man demonstrated regeneration right in front of lan's eyes... talk about a paranormal situation! And it happened so quickly that it completely defied the principles of biology!
"I-It can't be! That's impossible!"
lan shook his head repeatedly and kept telling himself that it was a dream, but he could not lie to himself no matter how hard he tried.
It was reality, and it could not be denied, just like how the sun rose from the east!
"Why can't it be possible, when relativity and quantum mechanics stirred such massive waves when they were introduced and eventually became the cornerstones of physics?" Frank asked.
That crushed lan's ego-it was true that Einstein's paper on relativity was unprecedented and beat out any accomplishments of his predecessors.
-
It was simply how science worked-truth mattered, not authority!
The person who demonstrated it did not matter-if it was the truth, everyone could learn from it.
And seeing lan's devastated expression, Sue scoffed. "It seems that you're the one barking now!"
With those words, she returned into the car, losing interest in getting champagne right then.
After all, having seen how devastated lan looked, she was not about to fall asleep at the wheel as she would be laughing the whole time.
Two hours later, the Lamborghini stopped outside Frankton Tower, and Frank headed up to his own office with Sue.
"Back so soon?" Jada Turin was at once surprised and delighted.
She was worried sick after Frank headed to Shanton and was relieved to see that he was now standing before her in one piece.
"Rumor has it that Ms. Turin is
charismatic and could make people feel needed:" Sue chuckled. "But that's not the case, is it? You really can say anything about man, but never make them feel impotent or like a quick shot!"
Jada ignored Sue's dirty jokes and asked Frank, "I'm sure your trip was fruitful, Mr. Frankton?"
If lan was not aware that Frank could now regenerate, it went without saying that the others were not either.
The more people knew, the further
word of it would spread, and they certainly did not want everyone to find out and miss out on greater opportunities.
Still, Sue snorted. "Fruitful? You have no idea... His body can now regenerate, and we have it on good authority that he might be immortal."
"For real?" Jada was skeptical.noveldrama
She knew that Frank would gain providence with the spiritron vein, but regeneration and immortality was still unbelievable.
"How about a demonstration, Mr. Frankton?" Sue poked Frank proudly.
Frank was not inclined to hide such a secret from his allies anyway and cut the back of his hand as Jada watched.
As Jada gaped, the wound quickly closed itself!
"Woah... does that mean you're invincible now? I'm sure you'd even survive a nuclear bomb-the day when you conquer the world is at hand!"
Sue agreed. "Exactly. And who does he have to thank?"
From a certain point of view, Jada's praise for Frank was also affirmation of Sue, which was why she agreed with Jada.
"Well, that's not necessarily the case. Radiation could lead to gene alteration, and I would in turn lose my ability..."
That was when Frank suddenly remembered what the spiritron vein had said during their chess game.
Was it possible that mortality was
just a step to the spiritron vein's
goal? Did it really want him to be
blown up by a nuclear bomb, and then absorb the radiation energies?
