Clare smiled. "You're a proper gentleman unlike the rest, and the spiritron vein would grant me strength unpredictably as long as I'm with you, so I guess I can stick with you."

Sadie smiled in wry amusement.

After all that yapping, Clare was willing to stick with Frank because she found him handsome that was the one thought that mattered.

One had to agree that the spiritron vein really knew how to pick them too-not only was Frank powerful, but he was also a skilled healer and one-of- a-kind handsome. Most people would never be able to resist him.

"Well, that's settled."

Sky Mystic Two clapped Clare on the shoulder, and the art wight returned into the painting. "Since you have your gift now, I shall be leaving if there's nothing else."

Before she could turn and leave, Frank called out, "Wait. How much do you know about Sally York?"

Sky Mystic Two smiled, shaking her head. "I'm a failed experiment. How would I know more than this?"

Frank was not sure if he should laugh or cry, but Sky Mystic Two was right that she was no one important in the fraternity.

Waving her off, he gestured for Sky Mystic Two to leave.

On the way back to Golden Lily, Sadie joked as she drove, "Well, you're in for a good time, Master Lawrence. Having a treasure like that might even be better than the spiritron vein."

Frank rolled his eyes at her. "I'll let you have some fun too if we ever find a male art wight."

Sadie blushed. "You're terrible, master!"

Frank ignored her and stared outside the window.

That was when two blue Kawasakis came bounding down the road, pulling up alongside their Range Rover.

Then, the riders both whipped out hammers and struck the car windows before speeding off.

"Are you crazy?!" Sadie snapped, while flooring the gas pedal and attempted to chase the riders.

By coincidence, they were in the city center, where the roads were congested.

The Range Rover was a lot less agile here, while the Kawasakis were soon going to disappear from view.

"Shit!" Sadie cursed as she punched the steering wheel.

Frank simply chuckled as he picked up some glass shards beside his feet and threw them outside the window.

The shards shot past countless other vehicles and knocked both riders off their bikes, leaving the Kawasakis in pieces. At the same time, Frank and Sadie promptly got off, dashing past the vehicles on the road to the downed men. Plucking the helmet off one of them, Sadie stamped her foot on his face and snapped, "Who the hell are you?!"

"That's none of your business!" The rider tried to struggle, but Sadie kicked him in the chest, leaving him coughing blood!

"Talk, or I'll kill the both of you!" Sadie

The two riders traded glances—they really did not expect this strange woman to be this vicious, but they remained defiant.

"You'd better think about this. You'll

be in a world of pain if you hurt us again!" one of them threatened intent of pressuring Sadie into freeing him.

Sadie smirked. "Really? I'm sorry, but I'm backed by the most powerful man in the country-and likely the world-and none of you could compare."

Seizing the rider's index finger, she growled coolly, "So? What's it going to be?"

The rider smirked. "Keep dreaming!"

"What a bitch." Sadie snorted and broke his finger right then.

Even as the man howled in agony, Sadie grabbed his ear with one hand and held him steady with another, then tore his ear right off!

"You're crazy!!!" the man shrieked at Sadie as tears welled up in his eyes.noveldrama
