“He’s in here!” A shout from the entryway of the Alpha’s room. Heavy thudding echoed into the room as a horde of thugs began to rush this way.
“Shit! The Alpha!” One of the thugs shouted before firing off a few rounds from his pistol, all of the shots flew wide enough to strike the side walls and somehow the ceiling.
“Don’t let him destabilize the passage, they haven’t finished the transfer yet!” The leader of the group yelled as they summoned a large dark lizard with a black hoodie covering its bright yellow bike spikes. “Kill him!” He shouted as more minions streamed into the room.
“Fu-!” I yell while diving behind the trunk of the tree, avoiding a few shots by those with actual accuracy. “Chillet!” I scream as I unsummon him after he took a bullet to the shoulder.
“Awoo!” The Alpha Direhowl cried out as the Pal Sphere trying to contain it shattered as the beast was released. It fired off a blast of golden aura at me, but a bullet to the side of its face saved me from a direct impact, the glancing blow drew a bloody line across my arm. “Grr!” It growled while turning its attention on the new invaders.
“You moron!” The gunfire ceased as a loud fleshy smack echoed in the quiet camber. “We need the Alpha alive to keep the connection running! Kill the human, but leave the pal alive!” The leader kicked the moron forwards and out in front of their group.
“But what if it attacks me?!” The moronic thug nervously looked between the Alpha and the leader.
“Don’t kill it, let it kill you, but kill the trainer wanna-be first.” The leader shooed the thug forwards as the rest of their group just chuckled at his punishment. “Better hurry now.” The leader smiles as he points towards the Alpha as it charges the next attack.
“AAAAH!!” The moron of a thug rushes the Alpha with his pistol holstered.
“Grruff!” The Alpha Direhowl barks out as a clump of solid golden energy launches towards the sprinting grunt, while a white cloudy aura builds up around its body for a follow up.
“HA!” The thug dove out of the way with the help of a soft aura surrounding his body, yet his ungraceful movements ended with him on his stomach staring at an angry glowing Alpha. “Oh shi-.” He rushed to try and pull out his gun, only for the Alpha to pounce on top of the prone thug. “GUH!” He shouted out as massive glowing claws shredded through his spine.
“Awwoo!” The Alpha Direhowl howled in victory over the fading shadowy corpse of the moronic thug.

“Ugh, good help is so hard to find.” The leader just shakes their head looking disappointed at the mess. “Can ANYONE kill the naked bow guy? Or am I just talking to a bunch of doggy chew toys?!” The leader turned his anger onto the remaining group of snickering thugs, who were elbowing themselves to stop laughing.
“We’ll handle this sir!” One of them stepped up before giving instructions to the others. They all spread out and began to sprint towards my hiding spot. “Split and conquer!” The group all started to run about confusing the Alpha on who to target.
“Shit!” I step around the trunk and start to let my arrows fly while backing up to an alcove I spotted was hidden from the view of the entrance by the tree. “A forcefield?!” A bright orange simmering field of energy covered my way out, a strange runic symbol was glowing in the middle of the hazy light wall. “What the… Oh!” I turn around to witness a similar glowing symbol on the forehead of the Alpha.
“Got you!” Yelled a thug that charged me with open arms, as if they were trying to tackle me. “Ha!” They cry out as I swing my bow at them, but they catch hold of it.
“Dumb move.” I say while staring into their eyes, I grab the string and yank it back, an arrow pops onto the bow with the tip an inch from the thug’s chest. “Dodge this.” The arrow finds its mark.
“Guh!” The thug stumbles back while dumbly looking down at the arrow in his chest. “Wha-” A new arrow shut him up by flying into his open mouth.
“No!” Another thug yelled in anger as their comrades’ body vanished upon their death. “You bas-” The thug dropped to the ground dodging my shot, before rolling to the side to avoid another follow up. “Ha!” He pulled out his pistol as he came out of the roll. “Missed! Now dodge th-” A blast of golden energy slammed into him from behind, his body propelled towards me and my awaiting arrow.
“Less talking, more shooting.” I snicker as I mock the fading body of the thug, a glow in my right hand forms into a blue sparkling sphere.
“Awoo!” The Alpha Direhowl’s glowing white body is sailing through the air towards my direction. My bow is dropped from my left hand as my whole body tenses while a soft hazy glow envelopes my form.
“Missed.” I spring backwards, the smirk on the Alpha’s face getting larger as time seems to slow as the massive glowing form of the wolf closes in on my position. The Alpha's paws dig into the ground as it manages to shift its body enough to aim at me. “Knew it.” I chuckle as my feet make contact with the glowing barrier behind me. “Too bad, bitch!” I shout as I kick off the forcefield into a forward motion dive.
The large eyes of the Alpha widened in disbelief as it watched my body jump just over its attacking form. A loud metallic clang sounded out as the Alpha Direhowl slammed directly into the glowing barrier. Its body fell in a heap onto the floor as it convulsed for a few moments. I landed on the ground and managed to roll off most of the fall damage.
“Now, let’s try this again.” I throw the sphere at the disoriented Alpha.
“Stop him!” The leader at this point started to sprint my way with his lizard pal.
“Shit, I forgot about them!” I pull out my bow again. “Seriously?!” I stared at the broken bow shaft in my hands, somehow the thing snapped in two. “Not good…” I am outnumbered and outgunned, but a high pitched ding rings out in the room, making all the thugs freeze.
