Palworld Lore Chapter 039

“Dodge!” I yell at Chillet while releasing an arrow. It flew true and straight to my aim, but it missed the charging pal I was aiming at.

“Gruu!” Chillet cried out in pain as the large glowing boar slammed head first into its side, just grazing him, but still sending him off to the side.

“Brooh!!” It squealed out as it skidded to a halting stop before stumbling slightly.

“Hit it now!” I reached out to call the injured Chillet back into the magical sphere, before calling out Trouble. “Roast it.” I finally get my fifth arrow to strike the boar, which has turned around to face us.

“Bukaw.” Trouble glared while glowing a burning orange hue with a few licks of yellow tickling the edges of his aura.

“Hhpm…” The opponent started to glow a whitish hue mixed in with flashes of glittery gold. The two pals stared each other down while I caught my breath behind a boulder.

“What is this thing again?” I huff as I watch the two finish charging their attacks.

[Rushoar, is an aggressive ground type pal which has the tendency to attack before thinking. A powerful, straightforward charge with all its might is its signature move, which can crush boulders larger than its size.] The Paldex beeper out as I drew another arrow.

“Kaw!” Trouble stretched out its wings, the glowing lights flowed along the stirring winds. The dimming evening was lit anew by two towering swirling columns of flaming tornadoes. The Rushoar had finished coating itself with its aura before crouching down, its muscular legs bugling with brimming power.

“Bukaw.” Trouble squinted his eyes in a serious fashion, before flapping his wings. The blazing spirals of magical fire sped up to meet the charging foe. A roar of rushing hot winds and crackling sounds of something burning followed a path of destruction.

“Bhu.” The Rushoar snorts before launching itself in a rush of wind pressure against its speed. It shot off like a glowing bullet, it clashed head first into the fire tornadoes.

“Roasted pork sounds good to me.” I chuckled nervously, hoping this would end well.

“Kaw.” Trouble started to gather his white aura for another attack.

“Run!” I tried to help with my pathetic archery attempts, as I watched a burning charging glowing boar burst out the otherside of the attack. “How’d it survive that?!” I yelled as I ran closer for a better shot.

“Kaw!” Trouble sent one more attack into the face of the enemy, a condensed ball of wind. “Buw-” He was slammed into by the attack, it flung his huge body up into the air before crashing against some trees.

“Please don’t be dead.” I managed to land my next few shots on the back side of the Rushoar. It turned my way with a hateful glare before it stumbled slightly and had to catch its breath. “Take these!” I shout as I pepper it with more arrows as I walk closer, my accuracy slightly increasing.

“Hmph…” It tanks the attacks while gathering some aura in its mouth. Rushoar’s eyes flare wide open as it oinks and launches a condensed ball of glowing rocks at me.

“Gah!” I yell as I focus all my effort on jumping to my side. A faint haze surrounds my body as the glowing rock bullet speeds my way. Just as it's about to hit, I feel my body jerk out of the way. “Ha!” I scream as I feel the world spin around before I’m back on my feet. “Huh?” I just blink at the tried out pal across from me.

“Kaw!” Trouble screams from behind the enemy. Seems like he recovered enough to launch his attack. The Rushoar squeals as purple meteors crash into its body from above.

“Finish him!” I shout as I unsummon Trouble and have Chillet appear right before me. “Get it!” I command while notching my next shot. The enemy had a look of resolve in their eyes as their body glowed dangerously once more. “Dodge it!” I yelled as I ran to the side, and letting the arrow fly.

“Coo…” Chillet raised up with an angry cooing, blue and frost white wisps of energy gathered up behind its body. “Cuu!” Chillet shouted as Rushoar charged it with a valiant oink. Three large icy spears flew true, striking the on coming pal. The first one slightly slowed the attack, while the second one did noticeably as well as taint the glow around the pal. The last ice projectile flash froze the beast in a brilliant light blue blast.

“Or you could do that.” I shot the ice cube with an arrow, but it bounced off. “Is it dea-” The ice shattered as the pal let out an enraged roar.

“Guu!” The body of glowing purple blue blur tackled the newly freed Rushoar, Chillet let out a cute roar of its own before the purple glow that built up around its body burst forth. “Guuruu.” It cooed with a stern look as the enemy was caught in the blast zone.

“Now is it dead?” I look on at the unmoving body of the enemy. “I’m out of arrows again.” I pull out my torch as the sun is about to set.

“Coo.” Chillet open its mouth and quickly lets out a purple ball of light at the fallen pal, which bursts into light particles and loot. “Cooruu!” It happily wiggles in front of me.

“Damn that was tiring…” I sighed as I picked up the items from our difficult battle. “At least I know where to get some leather from.” I look on in pain as the Paldex open up the list for me. “I need to kill nine more of those things?!” I shout my complaint out.

“Guu?” Chillet crouches on the ground as his face fills with worry.

“It’s alright… At least it’ll be worth it, right?” I turn to ask the furry ice dragon.

“Guuu!” Chillet bounced up happily before he started to sniff around the area where the loot was. “Ruu…Gu!” Chillet called out for my attention.

“What is it?” I walked over to see what he found. “Seriously?” I touch a glowing spark of white as a new item gets looted. “No way…” I pull the item out of the magical high tech sub space to examine it. “Is it edible?” I sniff the piece of raw freshly butchered meat in my hands.

“Cooo….” Chillet is mesmerized by the sight of the meat that he begins to drool.

“It does smell like bacon, but looks like a t-bone steak…” I look to see Chillet’s reaction, only for my own stomach to growl and remind me my diet has been nothing but berries lately. “Let’s hope the little chef can help us cook this.” I turn to head back to base as the dark of night starts to set in. “Might have another reason to hunt now.” I smirk as Chillet looks up at the sky with a dreamy face on, and some drool dripping down its chin.
