Palworld Lore Chapter 046

A high pitched glass shattering crack echoed throughout the dome shaped cavernous room. All was silent as the thousands of glittering shards cascaded to the floor from my hand, they vanished from existence before they fell upon the stone floor. The Pal Sphere was gone, and with it, a wind blew past my body as it picked up and swept away the few ashy remains of my pal.

“Hrrrurr.” The Alpha Direhowl seemed to chuckle at my plight before it and its minions let out a victory howl. ““Awoo!”” The trio cried to the skies beyond the roof of their dungeon.

“Fuck you…” I summoned Trouble next to me. “Burn the bitches.” I coldly command as I equip my bow and begin to slowly walk towards the howling trio.

“Buwark.” Trouble has a serious look on his feathery face, he focuses on gathering the orange aura around himself while locking onto his targets.

“Shut it!” I yelled at the howling mutts after shooting an arrow at the Alpha. It sneered at me while easily shifting out of the way. “Ha!” I shout in triumph as I let loose another arrow.

“Yiip!” The Direhowl minion behind it cries out as my first shot hits him in the eye. The Alpha spins around to see my shot land, it whipped back around to snarl at me, only for an arrow to hit it in the neck.

“Don’t worry, I have hundreds more for you!” I shout as I sidestep a howling blast by the other minion. “Too late!” My body slightly glows for a brief moment as I manage to leap out of the way of the Alpha’s dash attack. Ignoring how badass I felt for doing a barrel roll like flip that I normally shouldn’t be able to do without lots of preparation, I quickly shot an arrow at the third attacker.

“Kaw!” Trouble shouts as my attack interrupts the Direhowl, his twin flame towers of tornadoes woosh into being.

“Don’t ignore me!” I screamed over the loud crackling burning winds heading my direction, the Alpha was about to dodge the attack and head towards Trouble. My rushed aim seemed to land a critical on the enemy, right in his rear no-no zone. “Bullseye?.. Oh shi-!” I royally pissed off the big bad boss.

“GRRR!!” The Alpha pounced at me and began to swipe at me with its paws. I huff loudly as I strain my body and its flickering aura as my dodges become slower and the scratches increase.

“Trouble!” I shout as I dive out of the way of its rushed charge attack, I dive headlong into a roll as I unsummon and resummon Trouble behind the Alpha.

“Kaw!” Trouble shouts as he quickly shoots a blast of condensed air into the back of the beast.

“GRRUUFF!” The Alpha barks out in anger as it snaps its massive jaws at the frightened giant chicken. The loud clatter of teeth sound out as they bite nothing but air.

“Give them trouble!” I shout out as I hurl a pal sphere over the Alpha's head and summon a pal behind it. I shoot an arrow for its eye again, but it dodges enough to take the hit in the shoulder instead. “Bring it bitch!” I laugh while circling around the trunk of the tree, making sure to use the only piece of cover I had in the room.

“Awoo!” The Alpha Direhowl cries while giving chase. The majority of its attacks missed, or landed on the trunk of the tree as it tried to chase me around.

“Missed, you flea bitten mutt!” I mocked it while firing an arrow at it, but it was easily dodged. “Hit again, you should learn from me you rug to be!” I yell at the Alpha as it tries to fire another golden howl blast at me, which I gently jumpback behind the trunk.

“Grr!” The angry giant wolf pal stops for a moment, as it finally notices the minions weren’t helping it. “Grr-Awoo!” It howled out in shock as it saw a lanky blue streak covered in purple light crash into the last Direhowl, before it burst into light particles as the attacker flew on past.

“Coo!” Chillet roared in victory, its fiery eyes snapping to lock with the Alpha Direhowl’s. The two Alphas began a staring contest as their respective auras grew in intensity. “Guruu.” Chillet coiled its body up tightly on all fours, claws digging into the solid rock flooring.

“Awoo!” The Alpha Direhowl cried out as it struck out first. The glowing mass of wolf rocketed off from its position as the rest of the aura condensed around its front paws. The enemy hadn’t reacted to its attack yet, and it seemed like it wouldn't, a sinister smile spread on Alpha Direhowl’s face.

“Bad dog.” I saw while unsummoning Chillet and resummoning it behind the Alpha. I shot an arrow at the Alpha, but it ignored my attack and charged me in blind rage. “Shi-!” I back up while shooting as many arrows as I can.

“Awoo!” The Alpha Direhowl howls as it leaps to pounce on me, without its aura. The attack lacked the usual glow and super speed I have become used to.

“Aw, is the poor puppy tired out…” I mockingly shouted at the Alpha as I dodged its attempt. “Too bad!” I quickly fire an arrow into its eye.

“Grruh!” The Alpha Direhowl screams in pain while flincing from my attack.

“Guuru!” Chillet’s glowing purple body smashes into the side of the Alpha, transferring all the purple energy and momentum into it. The large wolf is sent tumbling across the ground and into the wall of the cave. “Coo!” Chillet gathers a cool blue aura above its head before firing off three decent sized icy spears. The ice attack doesn’t pierce the Alpha Direhowl’s body, but it does manage to encase it within a block of solid ice.

“You know what…” I start to say as I start to walk towards the frozen enemy. “Killing you would be too much of a mercy, you don’t get an easy way out.” I shoot an arrow at the frozen head of the Alpha, the ice block shatters as the enemy lets out a mighty howl.

“Awo-” The Alpha Direhowl was hit in the nose with my arrow upon it breaking free from the ice block.

“Bad dog.” I toss a Pal Sphere at the stunned Alpha Direhowl. I watch in wonder as the sphere brightens up once its midair, after a moment the glow intensifies from the inside as the sphere seems to be grabbed by an invisible force as it accelerates towards the intended target. Once contact was made, I could have sworn I witnessed the sphere spread into a web of woven glowing blue cosmic netting. A nanosecond later the visual glitched out in a flash as a floating pulsing Pal Sphere hung in the air.

“Fuck! What was that…” I yelled as my head throbbed while blood gushed from my nostrils. A loud chime rang out once before the sphere started to shake and rumble. “What does that mean?” I ask while watching the magical sphere dance in the air.
