“Let’s go clean up some scum boys.” I snap my fingers as Trouble and Chillet give a short cry of acknowledgement before their bodies are enveloped by a glowing light and dematerialized into my right hand. I unequipped my bow, letting it fade out of this reality in a similar manner, before getting ready to head out.
“Gu!” The little chef cried out from behind me.
“Sorry little one, I need you here.” I knelt down and patted the Foxspark as it pouted in a dejected manner, the fires making up its body dimmed while its tail sagged to the ground. “Can you make sure no bad guys steal from us? It’s a big task, I’m not sure you might be ready for it.” I sighed in an overly dramatic way, while watching the funny little fire fox think for a moment before brightening up.
“Gu!” It chirped out loud and proudly with its flaming fur burning bright. Suddenly a thought seemed to have popped in its head, it turned to dash towards a box before a magical light made a small sack appear in its mouth. “Gru.” Foxspark grunted as it offered the sack to me.
“Thank you.” I patted its warm silky air-like flaming furry head, as I looked into the sack full of cooked food. “You’re the best little chef.” I store the sack before jogging alongside the rock wall. Reaching the small hill, I sprint up and onto a pathway, a pair of pink cat pals screech in terror and turn around running for their lives. A wild Chikipi stops eating something off the ground as the fleeing pals rush on by, when it spots me, it turns to follow them with a cry for help.
I spin around with my bow instantly equipped in my hand with an arrow fully drawn as I scan the surroundings behind me as I slowly back up the way the fleeing pals went. Not taking any chances I snap my aim above me, making sure something isn’t creeping along the tops of the columns or cliffs. Only after making it into the edge of the clearing where I saw the shady looking pal poachers did I ease up on the arrow and let out a breath I was holding in.
“What made those pals run away like that, don’t they usually attack on site?” I pop a berry in my mouth from a nearby bush while trying to catch my breath,
[Pals can instinctively tell the power of one’s soul. The wild pals ran from you due to your increase in power.] My Paldex beeped to inform me.
“We’ll have to talk about this later.” I whispered to my device as I crouched down and slowly crept along the cliff walls hidden by some bushes.

“This one’s full up, use the other one that’s northeast of the camp, it should be open and linked.” One of the escorts called out before the ground shook with flashes of lights coming from the cavern’s entrance.
“Shitty limit… Let’s get the products moving!” The man standing before the magical cave shouted to the group surrounding the herd of cow pals. “I said move it!” The man was covered in metal plating armor with soft glowing rune-like symbols etched into some pieces, he drew his holstered pistol and fired it in the air.
The look of fright and terror overtook all the pals as they turned to swarm up the stairs and away from the weapon wielding man. The thugs as the back only had a metal baton, they were not prepared for a stampede of crazed beasts. The pals ran over the thugs blocking their way as they sprinited up the rocky stairs towards a hastily built fort with metal scraps for walls.
“Not the camp! Stop them!” The armored man yelled in panic as he and the others tried to chase down the fleeing herd of pals. Gunshots and a few explosions rang out from the camp as I slowly stalked behind the thugs. “Push them to the dungeon! No, the other way!” The leader yelled out to his gang as they attempted to corral the ones on the loose.
“What is all this… Cages, chians, these people are savages.” I look around the metal scrap wall to peer inside the so-called camp of these thugs. “Are they poachers or something?..” I spotted a locked cage off the side that held a small purple and gray furred fox-like pal, with a puffy white mane around its little neck like some little aristocrat. I hold the lock in my left hand to examine it. “What the hell, it’s solid?” The lock in my hand was nothing but a solid block of metal holding the cage door shut.
[Unlocking in progress, please hold.] My Paldex beeps as a hologram of a loading circle appears on the lock’s face. [Do not let go until completed.]
“Hurry up…” I whispered as my nervousness started to grow. My heart was beating loud enough that I could hear it. “Huh, it’s too quiet… oh…” I turned my head to see why the shooting and shouting had stopped, only to see a few remaining grunts looking at me with an evil grin and glowing red eyes. “Hey guys… I was… um… this is embarrassing…” I stammered in a nervous manner while using my right hand to reach behind my head to look like I was scratching it.
“Who the fu- oof!” The one on the right was hit in the gut by the man in the middle.
“Remember what the leader said, no witnesses, so don’t talk, kill’em.” The middle thug slapped the back of the head of the right guy. “Now go!” He kicked the thug forwards while he and the one on the left just laughed.
“Do you guys know what a Chillet is?!” I shouted out to the group as the pal sphere appeared in my hand behind my head.
“Yeah, our next target! So die first!” The thug charges me with his bat full of nails raise high.
“Well it’s your lucky day.” I drop the nervous act along with the sphere. A flash of light set off behind me, as a towering figure of light blue and white raised to their full menacing height. “Get’em.” I say before Chillet’s glowing purple hued body springs forth to attack our enemies.
