“Where am I?” I ask into a dark expanse. No matter where I turn to look, there is only darkness and my echo in the distance. “Hello?!” I shout out, before listening for the echoes. “Weird.” No echoes, but there were some soft sounds in the distance. “Am I dead?” If this was the afterlife, I want a refund.
“Pest. Why are you here?” The darkness rumbled and shook fiercely. The words were not spoken, but felt by my whole being. A deafening silence followed with an eerie stillness.
“I do not know where this is.” I answered the darkness after calming myself down.
“Why. Are. You. Here.” The voice rumbled the dark void once again, demanding an answer.
“I was being corrupted, so these people that rescued me were taking me somewhere to be cleansed, I think.” My body was shivering from the powerful rumbles the darkness made. “Then I appeared here.” I gulped hard, hoping not to piss off some overly powerful dark demon or something worse.
“You do not belong here, pest.” The voice sounded displeased, and the force of the darkness strengthened its hold on me.
“Then let me out of here!” I screamed while struggling against the crushing forces trying to kill me.
“No one can leave, once they enter. The traitor made sure of that.” The voice seemed to turn its anger on something else, allowing me a little breathing room.
“I didn’t wash ashore onto this crazy island on purpose! I’m not supposed to be here!” I tried to fight back, but the forces in the dark were too much. I try to cry out in pain, but no air can fill my lungs.
“It brought you here, but I will end you.” The rumble shook the void around me, then a force dragged me through the swirling darkness. Once I felt myself stop moving, I lifted my head to witness something darker than the void.
“What are you?” I was enthralled by such a sight of this being. One who is darker than nothing, a single black eye, as large as the moon. The iris, even deeper than the void. It looked right through my very soul.
“Your doom.” The eye blinked out of existence, making the darkness seem almost bright. A terrifying ripping sound split the area where the eye was. The darkness howled and screamed in pain, as a mouth that could swallow the world opened up wide.
“Why me!?” I protested, yet my voice was sucked into the open jaws of this void creature.
“Your kind are the reason I am here!” It snapped its jaws shut to yell at me, causing my eyes and ears to bleed from the sound alone. “Your kind are the reason mine are all gone!” Its anger burned my skin as my bones vibrated. “Your kind are the reason my world was destroyed!” I screamed as I could feel my insides twisting and tearing.
“Who are you?” I weakly ask the powerful being.
“I am the Calamity that will end it all, you and your pathetic kind will feel my wrath.” The voice in the dark pulled its anger back, it sounded like I’m moving away from it. “Your end is near, pest.” I coughed out something into the dark, as it continued to threaten me. “I will be the end to-” I lifted up my broken hand, with one finger raised.

“Fuck you.” I interrupt the voice making its speech.
“PEST!!” It roared with its pitch black void jaws wide, trying to devour me.
“Worth it.” I smirked as I lowered my head, waiting for the jaws of death to end my little existence.
“Wake up!” Someone shouted in my ear, before a slap snapped me awake.
“Ahh!” I instinctively tried to sit up quickly. “Ow!” I slammed my head against something hard. “I’m alive?” I rubbed my sore forehead, before trying to sit up a bit more carefully this time.
“Ugh! Not for long.” Ivy growled while holding a hand over her mouth. “Am I bleeding?” She turned to ask someone.
“Woah, what? Am I still corrupted?” I rapidly blink my eyes, trying to make sure I am seeing what is actually in front of me.
“You shouldn’t be, how do you feel?” Woody asked me from behind. I turned to answer him, only to stare at the group in shock. “What, is something wrong?” They all start to look around, like they dropped something.
“Uh… Not really sure how to describe it, but your skin, it's… blueish.” I raise my hands in front of my face, I let out a short yelp. “My skin! It’s red!” I turn over my arms, but only part of it is red. “Why am I red and you’re blue? Why are they green? Am I still corrupted?” I started to freak out.
“Calm down!” Ivy slapped my face with her blue hand once again. Her ruby red eyes stared right into mine, as her fiery bright unnaturally red short hair made me stare at her. “Stop that!” She slapped my arms and turned away, her blueish cheeks a slight shade of purple.
“Ah!! Why are my arms burning?” The pain in my arms feels like they are on fire.
“You might have a slight case of a sunburn, you were laying there for hours.” Woody tries not to chuckle while the rest are holding in their laughter. I just stare for a while at the multicolored group in front of me. “What do you see now?” Woody inquired with a smirk.
“Y’all look human, but the colors seem too unnatural to me.” I close my eyes and take in a breath before reopening them. “You still have light blue skin, leafy green hair, and… are your eyes purple?” I tilt my head to the side as I continue to observe the strangely colored group.
“That’s right! Seems like you’re cleansed.” Woody clapped his hands together.
“Minus his blackened eyes.” Tara added.
“My what now?” I turned to the purple haired, pink eyed, lightly green tinted skinned woman. Her figure was solidly toned and fit like an amazonian warrior.
“It’s not important.” Woody shook his green leafy head as he knelt down in front of me. He placed one hand on my shoulder, while pointing behind me with the other. “Tell me what you see now.” His smiling light blue face reminded me of a calm shallow water, so I turned my head to see what he meant.
“Holy shit! Is that a castle? In the hill?” I saw a pathway leading up a steep hill, full of cliffs and jutting rock spires. Strange creatures roaming around while minding their own business. “How did I miss that?” The group behind me broke out laughing.
“You seriously couldn’t see that?” Woody asked me while chuckling.
“I think it would be hard to forget something like that.” I sighed. Something caught my attention in my peripherals, so I swiveled back around to see what I missed. “Are those bones?!” A giant skeleton, the size of a small island, laid just off the beach where I sat.
“Wait till he sees the big ones.” Ivy elbowed Troy which made him giggle.
“There are bigger ones?!” I stare at them in disbelief, hoping it was a joke.
