Viscount John Brown was a cultivator in the multiple souls realm and the ruler of the nearby land. He had absolute influence in the mortal world and a great deal of influence in the immortal world.
Still, even with all of his powers, these days, he was mostly busy with private affairs.
After reaching the multiple-soul realm, the cultivator gains an extra, separate, but equal soul. It is a very strange situation, which is hard to explain. Normally, there is always one true soul; even if there are other avatars, clones, split souls, etc., they are subordinate to the main soul. But, in the multiple souls realm, the situation is different: each soul is the same, with the same power.
The multiple souls realm is actually not very difficult; the cultivator already has one substance soul, so creating more wouldn’t be very hard. It only needs energy, which for rich cultivators like John, is not difficult at all. What truly matters in the multiple souls realm is the cultivator's mental condition. Having a few souls, all equal, has the risk of friction among them. If there is any conflict in the mental state of the substance souls, a breakthrough to the void soul would fail without any doubt.
The void soul is qualitatively higher than the substance soul and can only be created by combining at least ten substance souls, all of whom absolutely have to be synchronized. It can be said that the multiple souls realm, more than a race to break through before the lifespan ends, is actually a mental strength test. In this stage, anyone who has a weak mind would fail. There are very few pills that can help mental unity in this realm; even someone as rich as John doesn’t have any such pill.
John used to be completely consumed by cultivation, not caring about anything else at all. For that reason, once he reached the multiple soul's realm, he found himself completely unprepared. As someone who rarely went out of his cultivation room, his mental state was extremely weak; even his two substance souls were starting to have frictions.
He abandoned cultivation and started finding ways to gather experience, making up for his shortcomings. He particularly liked getting a girlfriend and sharing her among his two substance souls.
Substance soul realm cultivators do not need bodies; their souls alone can act as the best body. Of course, they can still wear a body for more protection, but most won’t wear a body. Jack, though, wore bodies with different looks. One of his substance souls acted as Viscount John, while the other acted as Lord Pink.
One thing John found particularly helpful in uniting the minds of his two substance souls was loving and having relations with one woman. By using a woman as a uniting factor, the different substance souls could train their minds to stay synced.
John specifically wore different bodies to prevent his lovers from finding out that both men were actually him; he had good reason for that. To keep the best sync between his substance souls, it’s best if the lover thinks of them as separate entities. If she considers them all the same, the effect would be lowered.
John himself was surprised when he discovered this. After all, logically, it should be better if the lover thinks of them as one. But reality didn’t match logic; it was a fact that the best effect was only achieved when his lover thought of them as different people.
To execute this plan, he first had to find someone to love and, second, someone who was fine with having more than one partner.
It is actually not hard to find high-level female cultivators who are fine with it. As one age, one's commitment to moral values decreases. Not to mention that most of these female cultivators were born into noble families who have no morals to begin with. But, finding people that he can love with both of his substance souls is difficult; he only found two, one of whom is Lucy.

Finding Lucy was extremely good news for him; with her, he could improve his mental synchronization, maybe enough so he could even create his third substance soul.
…
"A gift for you!" John gave Lucy a box.
She took it and opened it with a smile upon seeing what was in it.
"A puppy! I love puppies!" Lucy looked at it with loving eyes; she hated puppies; they reminded her of her brother, Michael, but she had to act as if she loved them.
Seeing Lucy liked it, John asked, "What do you think of Master Pink?" He secretly suppressed a bit of jealousy in his heart.
Last night, he called Master Pink, who went to Lucy's bedroom.
Lucy put the puppy away and smiled, "It was great! Master Pink is even better than you when it comes to the affairs of the bedroom!"
Hearing this, a slight sense of jealousy and anger came to John's mind. He reminded himself quietly that Master Pink was actually himself; there is no difference between substance souls; both are him. Hearing Master Pink was better than him is like saying your right hand was better than you.
"Was he? I doubt it; I'll set up another night; this time, I'll be there too!" he said.
Lucy could only sigh; this task was truly too difficult. Hero-sama explained everything before the start of the mission, so she knew this. Jack was in closed-door cultivation, but he sometimes came out secretly.
Lucy said, "I am looking forward to it!"

Aside from Viscount John Brown, the other prominent force in this area was the Icefall Sect.
The Icefall Sect has only a substance soul realm, which is much weaker than the Viscount. The difference between a peak substance soul realm and a new multiple soul realm is not much, but Ted wasn’t in the peak substance soul realm, so he was, in effect, much weaker than John.
The immortal world is mostly in the hands of immortal sects, but in this area, the Brown Dynasty has more influence even in the immortal world. The immortal world refers to having influence in immortal cities, regulating immortal industries, mines, immortal arts, etc. The mortal world encompasses mortal cities, kingdoms, villages, etc.
The Brown Dynasty has a total monopoly in the mortal world, which shares power in the immortal world.
Ted, who had been reappointed leader of the sect headquarters, shook his head as he heard the report from one of the branch sect's elders.
"Lord Buttons, please, I am begging you, don’t do this; it’s said that one of the members of their sect, Lucy, is favored by his honor, John Brown. If we attack Heaven's Way, Master John Brown may personally help them!" said the man in a blue robe.
Shaking his head, Ted felt helpless; he wanted to take revenge but couldn’t.
His wife, the young lady of the Owen family, divorced him a few years ago; his talented son died; it can be said that his grievance with Heaven's Sect is beyond measure.
Even his own position was in danger if he hadn’t found the flaw in the continental formation. In fact, there was no flaw in the formation; he couldn’t find any, so he made a flaw and reported it. Fortunately, they didn’t research it deeply, so they believed it.
"Request an audience with Master John Brown," said Ted. The man in blue robes bowed and left.

Jack inspected the sect for a while. Recently, after the disappearance of most sect personnel, there has been a workforce shortage. Fortunately, the new batch of disciples arrived, so they should be filled soon.
He looked at the rundown village he was standing in, a poor ninja village with 200 people living in it.
"Why should there be a transmigrator in this village?" Jack felt it was strange. The long-awaited transmigrators finally arrived; it’s just that the first one appeared in an unexpected position of a mortal village.
Looking at the boy with a black ring on his neck, Jack said, "What is your name?"
The boy said, "My name is … I don’t remember!" the boy said in confusion.
Jack thought, "The first transmigrator lost his memory? Weird!" Still, he didn’t want to let him survive in any case, so he cast 'Heavenly Ice!'
Just as the spell was about to hit the boy, a strange person came out of the boy's ring and blocked the blow.
"Hmm, so his cheat is Grandpa in a ring? This one is common!" Jack thought; among cheats, grandpa in a ring is everywhere; at least 10% of transmigrators gain it at some point in their lives.
"System, swallow!" Jack ordered.
Jack's system exploded with a suction force; the grandpa, who was as strong as a substance soul cultivator, was dragged in.
"Merging … Merge successful!"
