Chapter 112: Questions

Zagronan fixed the problem with Rachel's help.

After testing it again, everything went perfectly.

When the demons ate each other, they truly merged, and the problem of forming a second personality was solved.

The problem had to do with some parts of the codes which failed to recognize the death of one of the demons of the newly merged demon.

So, in a merged demon, both minds survived.

He fixed it by adding a few code lines that helped smooth things out.

It took a few tries.

A lot of low-level demons died, and some demon races went extinct.

But Zagronan didn't care, even if all died.

For Zagronan, life means nothing.

With the problem fixed, he sat on his throne, calmly observing.

At the same time, he begins thinking deeply about his plans for making a human world.

...

The universe is a vast expanse, but it's not unlimited; it's finite.

Although there are still many faraway and unexplored areas, eventually, all of them will be discovered.

What happens then? Well, there are some theories.

The Office is the First Rank 14, and some speculate that it destroyed the previous civilizations in the universe, essentially resetting it and setting the stage for the next one.

No proof exists for this line of thought, so most consider it a conspiracy theory.

Conspiracy theories often work like this—something that can't be proven but also, in many cases, can't be easily disproven.

Many would believe them because it's what they want to believe.

However, it's also important not to label everything outside the mainstream as a conspiracy theory.

Some conspiracy theories may now be recognized as valid.

This theory may be true. The Office has been there before anyone can remember, and they are mysterious and much stronger than other Rank 14s.

It is not beyond the realm of possibility that they decided that 'things are not going according to plan, so let's destroy everything and start over.'

With no other rank 14 at the time, Office could have destroyed everything easily without leaving any trace.

Nobody else in the universe can for sure say what happened.

Now, what is the universe? Are there other universes? There are many views about the universe.

Rank 13s already believe that it's very likely that there are other universes. However, there is only one creation.

The creation is infinite, encompassing this universe and any other universe that may or may not exist.

Some believe that universal laws work in other universes, while others disagree, leading to various perspectives. There is no way to prove or disprove any of them because nobody has ever managed to move out of the universe.

Universal laws, in theory, only work in one universe. Still, many believe that because, in the end, all universal laws are based on the creation, they must be compatible with other possible universes, too.

Traveling to another universe is something no rank 13 even managed to do.

However, Rank 14s may be able to do it.

Rank 14 is very broad, with a significant difference between early Rank 14 and peak Rank 14.

Early Rank 14 has a minimal output of creation energy, while peak Rank 14 can harness substantial energy from the creation.

The creation is unlimited, but the amount of energy one can obtain from it varies.

The Office is the strongest in this universe, but even they are at the initial stage of Rank 14 and can only use a bit of energy from the creation.

As for the peak of Rank 14, it isn't very certain if there is even one.

Still, many believe there definitely is a peak rank 14 somewhere.

The creation is endless.

Some Rank 13s who ponder philosophy can derive a lot from this. Because the creation is endless, it implies there are infinite universes, meaning there are infinite Rank 14s.

Stolen story; please report.

Consequently, there is not just one but an infinite number of peak Rank 14s.

The creation is omnipotent.

This statement is profound. Being Omnipotent means having unlimited energy and ability to do things. Does that mean that the creation has enough energy to destroy itself? Does it mean that the creation can make a copy of itself?"

The creation is also omniscient.

This means all knowledge can be found within the creation; it knows the answer to all questions.

The creation is everything that exists, so it makes sense that one can find all answers within.

Let alone, it's doubtful there is anything outside the creation.

In the end, even void is a 'thing' made by the creation.

Without the creation, there is nothing, even an empty void.

But does this mean that the creation also knows the secret of how the creation came to be? The knowledge about how to destroy the creation?

There is inherent conflict within infinities.

The answer to these questions is hidden; nobody can say for sure.

However, Rank 13s can always guess. Most, including Lin Ming, believe that the creation is not genuinely omnipotent and omniscient because it cannot have the power to destroy itself or know how to destroy itself. It's impossible to destroy the creation.

Others believe that even though the creation is not currently omnipotent and omniscient, it's only like this because it's missing pieces.

Once it gets those pieces and becomes one with them, it becomes capable of destroying itself and will learn how to destroy itself. Therefore, at that time, the chance of the creation's destruction would be non-zero.

In an infinite scenario, any non-zero chance means certainty; therefore, once the creation regains the missing piece, that would be the end of everything.

Most don't agree; they find the suggestion that the creation is missing anything ridiculous. Lin Ming believes that the creation is only incapable of doing things that will damage itself, so it's omniscient and omnipotent in all matters that don't involve itself.

Most also think so.

The possibility that the creation is not complete is scary.

Perfection indicates completeness. All universal laws are driven from the cetera.

If creation is not perfect, it means universal laws are incomplete and most likely cannot be used in other worlds if they exist.

It also means that the way people are pursuing invincibility today is flawed.

Nobody wants to consider it.

...

Rachel's main body checked the system interface.

Lately, she has been thinking a lot about the creation. She knows that the system is a piece of the creation. Therefore, she knows for sure that the creation is not whole.

However, she disagrees that the creation becoming whole would end everything.

"There's no way to know!" she shook her head.

None of her computers are strong enough to calculate this. She doubts she can compute this even if she turns the entire universe into computers.

"What is the system?" she thought deeply.

Main Rachel knows many secrets that she doesn't allow anyone to know.

First, the main secret is that Main Rachel is not actually the main Rachel! She is just another incarnation sent to this universe to take it over.

She has no connection to the main body; in fact, she doubts that there is one. The most likely case is that there is no main body, and it's just a circular paradox.

Like this: Rachel X reaches Rank 14, invades another universe, and creates Rachel Y as an incarnation. Then, Rachel Y reaches Rank 14 in that universe, invades this universe, and creates Rachel X.

It's a paradox.

How can Rachel Y exist if Rachel X didn't exist before? There are universal laws that fix paradoxes on a universal stage, but there is no universal law in the void between different universes.

Therefore, paradoxes like this can exist.

There is a real chance that Rachel might never have been real, and all of her is a big illusion.

But that doesn't change anything.

It's a fact that she at least has incarnations at Rank 14.

Even if she is not real, that doesn't mean anything, as she can make herself real any moment she wants with enough gray energy.

The second big secret is that the system's power is on the same rank as the power drawn from the creation.

This means the system is on the same level as the creation. That's why Rachel knows the system is a piece of the creation.

But it's not that simple.

It's not clear whether the system is part of the creation or the creation is part of the system.

Rachel has not been able to find any clues.

For all Rachel knows, everything might exist because a piece of the system broke off and became the creation.

Like the creation, the system is everywhere.

She can already hack it to some extent, but the most essential parts are still locked.

When she unlocks them, it's akin to asking for reinforcement; the Rachel incarnations from other universes send Creation energy as help.

Creation energy is Rachel's term for all energy comparable to what Rank 14s use.

Once she reaches Rank 14, she hopes to hack the system to the point where she can fight the Office quite easily. However, she doesn't think she can reach Rank 15.

She doubts Rank 15 is possible.

In any case, if she reaches Rank 15, that would make her all-powerful to do anything.

What would she do with eternity? Wouldn't she get bored? Could she create games, like sending her mind to different places to keep herself busy? Is this universe just a game?

These questions are confusing, but they won't affect Rachel's resolve. Sure, it's technically possible, but there is far more of a chance that those theories are false.

Therefore, she put these thoughts aside and started looking at the computers' progress.

"Good! The infinite universal law is nearly done!" she smiled.

The infinite universal law will help her a lot.

It hasn't been discovered until now, but with all the information available, most know what one can do with it.

Infinite is one of the creation's traits and one of the system's traits.

Reaching Rank 14 is just gaining the ability to code around the creation.

With the infinite universal law, the universal law most closely aligned with the creation, coding would become countless times easier. She can use it to code around the creation much faster.

It won't make any difference once she reaches Rank 14, but while still Rank 13, her progress toward Rank 14 would be countless times faster.

It won't be long until she can finally get this universal law under control.

...

Lews had finally decided what he would do with the rest of his life. That is, eternity, as immortals have an unlimited lifespan.

He met Dyer a few times in the last billion years, but they haven't gotten back together.

Now, He is alone.

Alistair left him a long time ago to create his world.

Now, Lewis feels he also wants to create his own world.

In his opinion, joining other forces to try to advance to rank 12 is not fun.

He can live forever, so why not enjoy life instead of always trying for the tiniest chance of rank 12?

Even in rank 12, most still try reaching rank 13.

Even rank 13s try reaching rank 14.

Nobody enjoys anything.

Lewis is going to try a different path.

The fun path.

He wants to enjoy life and only advance if the situation allows. He already has a clear idea about what world to create.

He came to an empty space and started.
