Chapter 186: New Generation

Chapter 186: New Generation

Candles were destroyed millions of years ago but somehow appeared again.

“This is not a simple matter,” Alex thought.

Snapping his fingers, the 15 people exploded into a mist of blood; these people disrespected him, so he wouldn't let them live.

Then, he moved with unimaginable speed and inspected the world. After half an hour, he stopped atop a mountain with a gloomy look.

“The candles took over the entire world!” he sighed.

If 80% of both worlds believe in something, that thing becomes real. Fortunately, according to Rob, nobody in the star world believes that candles are real.

“What happens if only 80% of this world believes in something?” Alex thought. He looked throughout the world but found nothing like a great candle; however, it may exist in some form.

“Just to be sure, let's destroy them!” he thought. He cannot risk letting such an entity as the great candle become real.

After thinking for a while, he disappeared for a moment, and the next moment, he appeared again with 50 baby boys and 50 baby girls.

“Wait! What should they eat?” he thought with some trouble. Babies cannot survive without milk.

“But, I cannot let adult women raise them! The candle belief may somehow infect the children!” he thought.

Thinking for a while, Alex decided to go with monkey milk. Monkeys are the closest relatives to humans, so their milk must work, right? Alex III wasn't sure and didn't want to risk the extinction of the human species in this world.

“Let's go about it slowly!” He decided. He would do half of the world first, then wait. After he ensured the new generation of humans could live and reproduce without problems, he would do the other half.

...

Red City was the biggest city in the world, with a hundred million people living there. Henry was the Five Sparks commander of the city's defensive forces.

Ordinary soldiers are one Spark, sergeants are two Sparks, captains are three Sparks, majors are four Sparks, and generals are five Sparks.

There are six Sparks, leaders of an entire army branch, and a seventh Sparks, the leader of the whole military.

The Prime Minister has seven purple Sparks, which outrank the leader of the whole military. Royal family members have eight golden Sparks, and the king has nine purplish-golden Sparks.

Nobles use purple Sparks; royals use golden Sparks; commoners use white Sparks; prisoners use gray Sparks; slaves use green Sparks; and scholars and distinguished people who contributed to the Great Candle Temple can be granted the special blue sparks.

It's said that even the king desires to be granted the blue Spark. The Spark must always be lit up; the great candle would frown upon those who neglect their spark.

Henry came today to visit the North Gate, where the captain recently encountered a man who neglected his spark.

“He wore pure white clothes and had a white umbrella,” the three-Sparks captain explained.

Henry looked somewhere far away and said, ”Like him?”

The captain looked over and said, ”It's him! Go and arrest him!” he ordered one-Spark guards.

Henry saw the man raising up his hand with his two fingers together. Then, everything went dark.

...

Alex III looked at the ruin in front of him. He had just reduced the entire city to dust with one snap.

“It's going to take a while!” he thought, sighing. He plans on destroying half of the world first, then waiting for those children to grow up, and then destroying the other half.

To completely eliminate candle belief, this time, he wants to destroy everything as a whole and let a new generation of humans thrive. Those 100 children are to make the new generation of humans. As the ancestor of vampires who lived for millions of years, destroying the whole world is not difficult for him.

City after city, Alex III went over thousands and killed over a billion people. It took him one entire day!

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

Returning to where the children were, he brought a few hundred monkeys. Restraining the monkeys, he let the children feed on them.

...

A month later.

So far, most children survived. It looks like the monkey milk would work.

A few died, but that's nature, according to Alex III’s way of thinking. Seeing it work, he went on to destroy the remaining humans.

...

The Great Candle Temple is in the Golden City on the eastern continent.

A month ago, all contact with the west and south was lost.

After lots of investigation, nobody could find anything; it was as if everything there just disappeared.

Lord Candle, a woman in bright blue clothes and two blue Sparks lit on her specially made hat, read the report with some worry; she knelt and started begging the Great Candle for guidance.

Just as she was begging, air pressure changed, and the entire Great Candle and Golden City, along with all in it, was reduced to dust.

...

After another month, Alex III removed all humans from the entire world!

He let animals go and only destroyed human settlements. A few here and there might have survived, but he would eventually root them all out. Anyone not in his new generation would be killed.

As an assurance, for now, he imprisoned 1,000 people somewhere safe, just in case the human babies die.

Give it a few thousand years; those human babies can populate the world again.

“Mortals are like grass; if you have a few seeds, you can grow and cultivate them quickly!” he smiled.

He didn’t have the slightest pity or worry.

As for what vampires drink … He doesn't care. They can all die as far as he is concerned.

Millions of years ago, he thought they might be useful as subordinates, but now, he can do everything himself, so he doesn't care about vampires. He still didn’t kill them in his recent rampage, as they are all entirely under his control; their existence has no negative impact on him. But he won't bother helping them survive.

...

Soon, 20 years passed.

Of the original 100, only 59 survived, 30 boys and 29 girls. With Alex III as their parent, it was no wonder so many died.

In any case, Alex III was satisfied with their survival rate. He taught them the ancient Alex Kingdom’s language and alphabet but nothing else. He didn’t even give them clothes.

Still, they saw him wearing clothes and copied him; today, most wear clothes made of tree leaves.

The good news is that they have already begun reproducing! There are already ten newborns!

“This is going to work!” Alex III smiled. He plans on watching over them until they break through a million mark.

...

100 years later.

Alex III had already eradicated all previous generations; now, the only humans were the ones he raised.

The original 59 had already reproduced into 4,000 people, only after 100 years! With Alex providing food, their only duty was to make babies, so it's no wonder they expanded so fast.

...

200 years later

The original 4,000 had already turned into 1 million people! They already had a few cities!

Smiling, Alex III went back to his slumber.

...

10,000 years later.

Elizabeth opened her eyes.

She had been sleeping for many thousands of years. Now, as a five million-year-old vampire, she could sleep for a long time before needing blood.

She had started drinking human blood long ago. Animal blood was a torture her younger self foolishly indulged in. Still, she only drank a little and didn't kill anyone; she hated killing the innocent, even until today.

Making sure it was night, she went out and soon found the biggest city.

“Hmm! Red City is gone! It looks like things changed again!” she thought.

As far as she remembered, the Candle Empire was ruling, but now, it looked like the candles disappeared.

Going back to where Blue Blood City used to be, she smiled.

The old Blue Blood City was destroyed when the Candle Empire took over, but now, it appeared again!

She didn't even notice the destruction of the world that Alex had done.

Mortals reproduced over the thousands of years and populated the world again. Many vampires didn't even notice any change.

But seeing the signs on the gate of the city, she frowned. She had been taught the ancient Alex Kingdom's language, so she could detect the closeness of the current alphabet to that. It's not exactly the same, but many letters are too close to it to be a coincidence.

“Could it be that Alex III came out and taught them?” she thought with doubt.

Going into the city, she soon found the current situation. As expected, nobles were still rulers.

“It looks like it's really impossible to wipe nobility off completely!” she sighed.

Even after she abandoned being the king of Blue Bloods, she came out later again and tried removing nobility and granting equality to all. Still, no matter how much she tried, nobility returned in some form. Humans just have an innate desire to differentiate themselves.

“Equality is really not possible!” she thought of her childish dreams when she was young.

“Today, the world is ruled by a king and nobles, exactly like Blue Bloods Kingdom! It's a shame that all discrimination against women returned again!” she thought with pain.

At least when candles were in charge, they allowed women to become their chief candles, but now, the old rules of no women inheriting titles have returned again.

She intervened too many times to remember; many times when she woke up, she intervened and forced women into succession laws. But the world seemed biased against women; it's like the natural form of things is women being excluded from the line of succession.

She would not have been surprised if she had known this was the culture ‘Alive’ created. As a rank 14 civilization, their default cultures would not change, even through innumerable years. Elizabeth is now equal to a rank-five mage specialized in the dream path; she has no chance of changing cultures. Not even Rachel can do it without using her gray energy.

Shaking her head in disappointment, she found someone, drew a few drops of blood, drank it, and left back to her cave. Now, she knows of world realization and looks forward to it just as much as Alex III and IV.

...

Another million years passed.

Alex opened his eyes and stretched.

“5 million years to go!” he thought tiredly. He is tired of sleeping now; he really looks forward to the realization of the world.

Coming out, he searched the place that used to be Alex City. Looking at it from afar, he frowned very deeply.

A massive candle statue was erected, and a giant golden candle was in the middle!

“It is back!” He looked with gloomy eyes. He made sure to destroy all traces of it, but it returned again!
