[I see...]
"..."
'What do you see?'
[Mana signatures, something everyone has...but no one seems to notice. Or maybe there are but we have yet to meet them.]
"..."
'While that sounds cool and all, but does it actually do anything?'
[Uh...no. These mana signatures by themselves seem to only differentiate between elementals and monsters. But its indirect use are many.]
[Like what I'm doing now. Making a decoy.]
"..."
'What? Why?'
[We know our enemies are the second batch of systems and supposed to be others from the first batch. But luckily, all the first batch of systems came together under you.]
[But the second batch of systems don't know that. Even if we were to meet face to face they would only recognize us as one system. So with that gap of knowledge, there's a few things we can do.]
[Like making a decoy, The decoy will have mana signatures unique to a system. But that's not the main point, the main point is for the decoy system to attract other systems... And eliminate them.]
[So essentially, all of these super strong mercenaries are ticking time bombs. Not very harmful to themselves or others, but lethal too other system hosts.]
[You're not going to stop me from doing this are you? This is literally for your own good.]

"..."
'uh, no gem won't. Go ahead and do it.'
[Alright.]
"..."
'Gem doesn't like how mysterious the systems are... Not to mention their goal they said before. But they seem to not have done anything significant besides make the Rock elementals look like a fool. Everywhere else...Seemed dangerous... But somehow gem was lucky enough to escape or by luck miss it. As if everything gem faced... was planned. Another thing is Gem feels... Like there's something wrong with the world. It took forever for the world to birth the first elemental but only a short time to reach the point of today. Gem understands progress and innovation accelerates the more you know. But gem feels like things are moving...a little bit too fast. As if the world was jumping eras...Gem doesn't know maybe gem is just lucky to witness a world developing fast...or maybe... Someone is pushing it to be fast.'
"Hey, you ready to go? We have been sitting here for a while now and the guards are getting curious. It's best if we leave to avoid any unwanted attention."
"..."
'Yeah, Gem has fully mastered the new power inside gem. It's time we leave.'
"Okay, sitting by this teleporter is making me feel nauseous. Let's go."
And so our trio finally left teleporting to the city of Eversun. A rather large city close to the center of this continent. Once it was abundant in ores and rare metals. But ever since the mines ran out the place changed into a transit for commerce between cities. This is possible only because the teleporters built here, after the mines we're empty the teleporters were quickly repurposed to be used for large transaction trading.
Using the power of money, the city recruited many businesses that relied upon teleportation to transfer their main focus of their business to here. The gamble was huge as in the beginning knowing knew if the city would rise again.
But thankfully, it worked.
The huge infrastructure dedicated to teleporters used for ores and rare metals smoothly transitioned into it's new role and businesses that decided to put a little faith into the city had made the revenue quickly come back to the point necessary for the city to maintain the teleporters.
After that, the rest is history.
Standing in the middle of one of the teleporters... Are trio finds themselves in a new environment. With 7 people waiting for them.
A blacksmith, two mana scientists, retired mayor, Lucas, Kate, and a old man.
The old man looks innocent with his honest smile. No fancy garment or edgy look, just a simple blue overalls and white shirt found on farmers. With a weathered straw hat on his head to block the Sun. Totally like a kind grandpa.
What?
Why does everyone give him space? Why does the feeling of death come out from him?
That's irrelevant.
