Inside the first floor is a cave like room and hall. Our trio find themselves hiding on the side of the hallway before the cave.
Thankfully they are quiet and the foxes are lazy. Sleeping everywhere.
All of a sudden several foxes started yipping. A sudden fight of nearly 10 foxes started.
Quickly the fight escalated, leaving the 7 foxes untouched confused on who to help. By the time half of them died did a new change happen.
Two of the foxes confused on who to help started attacking the others. This only further caused the 5 foxes to go into confusion. Eventually they decided to just go ahead and attack whoever attacks them.
By the end of it...there was only three foxes alive sitting together.
Badly beaten but still sitting.
That's when our trio came out.
...
"That went well. Just hold them down now and I'll finish these three off."
"..."
'Got it...if the rest of the dungeon is like this...You might not even have to fight hard with Gem's help.'
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's hopeful dreaming."
[Usually dungeons get progressively harder and more numerous of monsters the deeper the floor gem.]

"..."
'It was worth a shot.'
"Hmm... Now that I'm inside the dungeon. The mana reading is standing straight dead center on a dash before 2."
[So about 1.9 is the real difficulty.]
"..."
'Then let's carry on! Gems friends need to be saved!'
"Sigh...It's most likely an illusion.... Whatever, I'll put both of you away in my backpack."
After putting away the gizmo, The water elemental put gem inside her backpack to free up a little extra space. Gem doesn't need to be out in the open in order to use gem skills after all. As she explored further, she made sure to have her dominant hand rest on her sword that's strapped around her waist.
Her other hand having a simple steel buckler strapped to her forearm and a weird looking dagger in her hand. The Dagger had a handguard with a circular sword guard attached to it. That dagger itself looked more like a circle with one edge slightly poking out. As if someone got a pole and then attached the tip of a sharp edge of a knife to it.
Obviously this arm is used to defend. And sometimes maybe an offhand attack.
When you're a melee fighter, magical spells are often abandoned by you because you couldn't learn them.
Her armor as well was plain and standard. Chainmail and leather covering everything. Few steel plates covering important parts but leaving everything else up to chainmail and leather. Steel boots with leather soles and leather in between the moving plates to dampen sounds. A basic leather covered steel helmet with no details. Leather gloves with small plates covering it, Leaving gaps between the plates so that her grip remains unaffected and doesn't make any sound when she moves her hand.
Simple, plain, but effective.
[Heads up, we got a lot of foxes in the second room. Thankfully they seem to still be lazing about or asleep. But the amount...]
"..."
'there's a lot of foxes in the second room, but thankfully they fell asleep and gave mercy to gem after knowing gem is coming. But the amount...'
"What about the amount? How many are there?"
"..."
'system?'
[Uh...]
Huh?
Oh my...
Oh no..
She forgot what her parents told her, read inside the first floor, not outside or in the hallway.
So they didn't know, the gizmo mana reader after they officially stepped inside the first room jumped up.
It reads...'Error'.
