Dark clouds spreading into a strange purple sky.
The screams of people he knew very well.
In front of him, a dark sludge mass with a deranged smile.
Orion wasn't able to recognized the exact area he was in. The extent of what he guessed was that it was on Eogis. Part of the Talviera Mountain Range had been obliterated, shown by the large crescent shape hole etched into it.
All he knew was that he was in a terrible shape. He looked at his right shoulder, and noticed a dark gooey arrow plunged into it, stuck firmly in his flesh.
He saw himself remove the arrow forcefully, and clench it in his fist. He turned to Amelia, who was laying behind him, shocked.
Karteira hurriedly ran to her and helped her stand. He spoke a few words he didn't understand, and looked at the mass with rage.
The last thing he saw was himself suddenly behind the smiling mass, as he plunged the arrow in its back.
He could make out that everyone cried his name, before a bright light enveloped him and the being.
-
"!"
Orion opened his eyes suddenly. He sat in his bed and touched his forehead.
'What was that?'
Dripping in sweat, he began to think about the strange dream he had.
'Was that a premonition? I should check with Tetra later.'
With that in mind, Orion stood up and picked up some cleaner clothes, before walking downstairs into the shower.
Once clean, he walked out of the room and entered the living room.
"Morning. Wait, what face are you making this early?"
Amelia greeted him like every morning, but she quickly noticed the huge frown on his face.
"I've had a bad dream. I can't get it out of my mind."
Orion turned around and left into the dining room. He went into the kitchen and made himself a coffee, a little stronger than usual.
With his cup in hand, he returned to the living room and sat next to her.
"Where are the others?"
He asked before taking a sip.
"Karteira is with the twins, checking on the fairies, May went to Turric to discuss some important stuff with Eric, Deveralna is still sleeping, and Senia is outside, improving her water magic again."
"I see."
She smiled and placed her hand on his free hand.
"Stella is also asleep. There's only the two of us right now. If you have something on your mind, you can always tell me."
With the same frown on his face, he looked at her.
"I hope I'm wrong, but I might..."
He stopped in the middle of his sentence.
'I can't. I can't tell her that I might sacrifice myself again.'
After shaking his head, he sighed and smiled.
"No, never mind. I have no idea why I'm hanged up on that."
"There was probably no meaning behind it."
Seeing that his mood was finally returning to normal, Amelia nodded.
"If you say so."
Drinking his coffee, he smiled dryly.
"I made it too strong."
~
Inside the fairy manor.
"How's the progress?"
Karteira turned to Dramia, who looked into a piece of paper.
"I'd say it's close to the end. We've been building our people's houses for two weeks now, so if there was no progress at all, I would be angry."
"She was last week when she found a bunch of slackers."
Said Drania while laughing.
"Of course I would be! I turned around for five minutes and they were already resting. I know it's not a gratifying job, but without houses, nothing will ever turn around."
"That's why, I punished every slacker severely. Those who don't work, won't eat. Simple."
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Dramia crossed her arms and turned her face away.
"And then, we suddenly had a spike in progress. Houses were being finished at an amazing pace."
Still laughing, Drania looked at the paper her sister was holding.
"Two hundreds fairies suddenly rushed to finish the houses, and now, only two remains. That sure was a wake-up call for them."
Karteira smiled and agreed.
"Remove food to the fairies, and they have nothing else. I was scared at first, be I guess I didn't need to with you in charge."
With a slight frown, Dramia looked at her.
"This is still my home. The least I needed to do was to support them in a time of crisis."
After the arrival of the fairies in Horizon, it truly was a chaotic time. They were lost, their homes destroyed, and their food supply completely cut-off.
But thanks to the Queens, they kept pushing forward, keeping hope in their mind as they rebuilt the village.
Amelia and Senia both agreed to help with the reconstruction, but also Kamala, who helped in bringing materials that were difficult for Amelia to create.
After two weeks, most fairies had begun living in their new, modern houses. Quickly, they entered a friendly relationship with the arachnea with Orion's help, and began to revitalize parts of the land around them to grow many vegetables.
It wasn't unusual to see a fairy accompanied by an arachnea by this point. Though, the language barrier was a little problematic, they managed somehow.
Tiohr-nam worked hard to make up for her mistake too. She helped in creating seeds to plants, and in healing the damage caused to the flora around the village.
Now than ever, the village looked more lively and beautiful than before.

"I have a bad feeling about this."
Eric stood on a hill, watching past the wall separating Triazils to the Frigoria Plains from a distance.
"About what?"
May, who followed him, asked.
"The storm is clearing inside the plains. It never happened before."
"There are no writings of it ever happening either. That is making me rather uncomfortable."
With his arms crossed and a worried expression on his face, he looked toward his left side, and watched the only part of the land that still showed the raging blizzard that ravaged it.
"I had no idea there was mountains all the way south either."
Pointing at it, May looked at the frozen mountains in the distance. Only the tips of the three mountains appeared, who were hidden by the storm until today.
"Me neither. But what is troubling me is that the storm is clearing, but we haven't seen a single beasts since it started."
"Why is it troubling?"
Tilting her head, she couldn't understand why Eric was so on edge.
"It is one thing not knowing what is past the blizzard, but now that we are able to see far and wide... doesn't that scare you?"
"Eric... Are you thinking about the giant corrupted that attacked us during the last invasion?"
He glanced at her before nodding. She understood then.
"Orion told me something a few days ago."
She explained as concisely as possible.
"Do you remember the man, Elliott, who attacked Orion?"
"How could I forget. Elliott is a terrifying man."
Eric nodded and shuddered just thinking about him.
"He went to the Frigoria Plains with Orion's brother, the beastman that was with us."
"Eh? When?"
"Probably before we had left Noctelagia. The first signs of the storm clearing happened only a few days after we had returned, isn't it?"
After hearing her words, Eric began to think.
"Are you trying to say that Elliott might be the one clearing the storm?"
"That is more likely than not. He is probably dealing with the hordes of corrupted too, which is why we haven't noticed many running around lately."
Moving his muscular arms around, he placed his hands on his waist and nodded.
"Then I probably worried for nothing. I will still keep a unit around the border to notice any movement from the corrupted though."
"Good idea. Also, be sure to tell them to open the door for Elliott and Orion's brother when they return."
"I will. Thanks for coming with me all this way May."
She shook her head.
"If you call for me, I will came anytime. I owe you this much."
"..."
He smiled gently at her, like a father would looking at his daughter.
"By the way, have you trained? You look sharper compared to a month ago?"
Surprised, she turned her face away.
"Do you promise not to laugh?"
"Huh? Sure."
May pointed her finger as if it was a gun on the other side. She avoided looking in that direction and simply closed her eyes.
A little spark of fire erupted from her finger, similar to firework.
"This little thing? So tin-"
*BLAST*
The little spark turned into a beam of fire that crashed at the bottom of the hill, melting the snow as it traveled down.
*BOOM*
The beam crashed on the ground and formed a large crater on impact.
"Ha-Haha~... I should have known."
Eric looked away while wiping the beads of sweat that had formed on his forehead.
"I've been asking Amelia for help recently. She's been... giving me ideas."
"I see. Well, I suppose it's normal if you want to stay by his side."
He nodded, and looked at her straight in the eyes.
"..."
'I will need to ask for training at one point too. I need to improve my control over my magic, and find a way to counteract the effect frying my brain.'
After that, they both returned to Turric, ignoring the fuming crater May created by firing the beam of condensed fire.
~
Senia stood in front of a large amount of targets. Most were rounds, but three were tall wooden targets.
"Fuuuu."
Her eyes were focused on them, jumping her sight on one target after the other.
"Alright!"
Once she decided the order of attack, she nodded and pointed the palm of her right hand toward the one on the very left.
*Splash*
A bullet made of water pierced the target. Less than a second later, the one next to it also got pierced by a bullet of water.
Rapidly, she pierced all round targets in their center, and turned to the wooden targets. She pointed with her index finger at them, and immediately went on the offensive.
A cutting jet of water erupted from the tip of her finger, which pierced the target in the middle. Moving her finger right, she cut half of the middle target before cutting the one on the right side horizontally.
Before the rightmost target touched the ground, she pointed again toward the middle, cutting the top of the target, continuing toward the left target.
She dropped her hand from top to bottom and sliced the target in half vertically, and returned one last time to the middle one. Rapidly, she made a Z pattern with her finger and sliced the target in four parts before releasing her magic.
"Wow!"
Senia looked at the palm of her hand and exclaimed in surprise.
"I'm making progress! I'm really getting stronger! This is incredible!"
She began to jump left and right with her siren tail.
"I have to thank Amelia for that. Without her, I wouldn't have been able to focus on what to do with myself."
Looking toward the house behind her, she smiled. She was very thankful toward Amelia, who agreed to help her get stronger.
While Amelia was more focused on the fighting side of magic, Orion gave her many ideas on how to use magic as support.
Now, Senia was able to keep moisture on her at all time thanks to a thin layer of water magic around her.
"I should return home for now."
She nodded to herself and looked one more time at the targets. She felt proud of her accomplishment.
Magic enveloped her body, and water flowed under her tail.
"Alright."
Like a fish swimming in water, Senia began to swim in the air, pushed by the current she herself created.
~
Later that afternoon, everyone returned to Horizon.
Orion took this opportunity to finally try something. He called everyone in the living room, and grabbed the tablet.
"I'm going to change the settings of Horizon's weather. Until now, we only had few clouds and only sunshine."
"It's time to introduce rain and lightning."
Amelia stood up, and excitedly said.
"I was waiting for this!"
They all looked at her with their mouths opened.
