This very moment, something awakened in Karteira.
The magic flowing in her magic circuit was somehow similar, yet different to the one she felt while fighting in the fairy realm.
It resembled Orion's, while being hers.
At last, she understood the use of magic itself.
Her left eye changed to bright white while using magic, though luckily for her, she could hide it behind the eyepatch.
"Sis."
Drania looked at her sister, excited.
"You're worse than a child sometimes. Fine. Go play with her."
After sighing, Dramia gave up, letting her twin sister do whatever she wanted.
A loud buzzing sound echoed in the room, before everything went quiet.
Only the sound of two hinged windows bumping against the frame was heard.
Karteira had been kidnapped by Drania outside.
"Good grief. That sister of mine."
With a smile, Dramia stood up from her chair and opened the door. She closed it behind her and walked all the way from Karteira's room to the castle's front door.
When she opened the door, she was greeted by two sleeping dragons that showed no care to whatever was happening no far from them.
She followed the path on her right, looked over on her left to watch the beautiful flowers blooming in the garden, until she joined them.
"I just have to catch you?"
"Yes!"
Karteira was confused as to what was happening, but she still agreed to do what Drania asked.
Dramia sat on one of the benches in the area and quietly observed them 'play'.
*Bzzz*
Drania's wings began to loudly buzz, before all of the sudden, she vanished.
Karteira closed her eyes and listened closely to the sounds around her.
Still with her eyes closed, she stretched her arms above her head, tapped three times on the ground with her shoe, and crouched, her scorpion tail above her head.
She opened her eyes, and vanished, leaving a white trail behind her.
*Slap*
A large noise echoed all over the castle that caused everyone to look from their respective windows.
Drania, who was caught off guard by Karteira's sudden burst of speed, slapped her hand away with quite a lot of strength.
"..."
But she instantly recovered and smiled.
"You won't caught me without fighting for it."
Then, she began to fly higher at high speed. Not too far, because it wouldn't be fun otherwise, but still high enough for Karteira to struggle catching her.
"Flying away won't help you."
Karteira's eye shone brightly white. Her legs began to radiate a very subtle white hue, before she ran toward the nearest tree.
"Huh?"
Drania watched the white trail going away from her, while wondering where she was going.
Yet, the next moment, before she could blink, Karteira was in front of her. In the air.
"Wha-!"
Drania stopped flying, letting gravity take her before she could get caught, and watched Karteira launch herself above her.
'What did she do?'
She observed Karteira landing on the ground, leaving a long cloud of dust behind her as her shoes scrapped the dirt.
It was after that that she understood what Karteira did.
Once again, she ran toward a tree at full speed, and ran vertically on it, before pushing on her legs in the direction Drania was flying at.
Like a comet, she flew in the air. Drania could only dodge by a thread if hair.
She was lucky Karteira couldn't change her trajectory while flying at her.
Everyone watched, impressed. But the only ones who could see the whole thing were Orion, Amelia, Florian, Tetra and Henrietta, and Elliott.

Everyone else could only see Karteira as a trail of light as she bounced left and right at an overwhelmed Drania.
"Wait! Wait! That wasn't what I had in mind! I don't like this game anymo-! Waa!"
Dodging Karteira again, she tried to make her stop.
"Don't listen to her, Karteira. She's the one who started this."
Cold hearted as ever, Dramia betrayed her sister with a devious smile.
"Sis! You can't do th- Hiii! You can't do that to me! Help!"
But Dramia only watched. She ignored her sister's call for assistance.
Yet, Karteira only went faster. She began to integrate the feeling into her actions.
This was a huge improvement to the light enhancement Orion gave before, as she was now the only medium for its full power.
The world slowed down for her, her mind was clearer than ever, and she had her eyes set on Drania.
She only had to catch her.
Orion watched attentively. This was the second 'gift' he gave her, even if it was involuntarily.
'She's having fun. But...'
He opened the corridor's window, and placed his right foot on the frame, and jumped, copying what Karteira showed until this very moment.
Launched across the garden, he quickly caught up to Karteira,
"Hyaaa~!"
A few seconds after she caught Drania with her tail.
But Orion noticed, the last trajectory she took would lead to Karteira throwing herself on the dragons.
He knew Monolavir wouldn't react much, but still, he wanted to avoid bothering him.
Karteira noticed another trail of light coming right at her. It caught up to her before she felt a slight shaking.
She felt two arms hug her waist as she fell down. Bracing herself for the impact as it was now difficult to shift around with Drania in front of her, she closed her eyes.
*Shrrrrrrrr*
The sound of something that wasn't her feet scrapping the ground was heard.
*Bump*
A sudden shock forced her to open her eyes. She turned her head, noticing the massive body of a blue dragon, and Orion who's back was pressed against said dragon.
"Sorry Monolavir. I was hoping to stop earlier than that."
With a smile on his face, he talked to the dragon.
*Wrrfff*
A big cloud of ice particles erupted from the dragon's nose.
"I do not mind. My body isn't that weak. But this form, it is quite nostalgic."
Monolavir's eyes were focused on Orion, and had a small tinge of melancholy. Ruminona awakened when she heard him talk, lifting her neck above his body.
"Mono?"
When her gaze fell on Orion, she understood.
"The angel's magic."
Orion, shrouded in white, looked at her with the same smile on his face. A smile that seemed incredibly peaceful, something rarely shown from Orion.
Karteira, Dramia, and Drania were the first to notice, and were quite shocked.
His physical appearance hadn't change much. He still wore his casual clothes, but the most noticeable changes were the two wings of light on his back, and the white color of his hair.
"Maybe because of what happened recently, I feel like something was lifted inside of me. I am more proficient in using magic than before."
He helped Karteira drop to her feet, and helped Drania get her freedom back by removing Karteira's scorpion tail tightly wrapped around her shoulders.
Dramia quickly stood up from the bench and walked toward her sister.
"You've been caught."
She seemed to have recover faster than everyone else. Dramia was incredibly down to earth, which was the reason for her quick recovery.
Who was Orion? Someone who managed to create a new element, and possess the blood of two powerful factions in his veins. This wasn't strange at all.
"Karteira."
"Ya-Yes?"
As Orion reverted back to his normal appearance, she straightened her body when he called her name.
While looking at her, he lifted his left arm, and dropped it on her head.
"While it's good and all to go all out, please be careful of your surroundings. What would happen if you were to get hurt?"
She blinked a few times while feeling his hand caress her hair.
"M-My bad."
The situation finally registered in her head.
"Aaa- I'm so sorry!"
She looked at Monolavir and apologized.
"No harm done. I'll accept that apology."
To be fair, he didn't care at all. His heart and mind were at peace ever since Orion told him that they avenged his children.
When the dragons noticed that the situation was resolved, they returned to sleep.
But Orion wasn't done. He looked at Drania next.
"I know you get excited easily, so I won't scold you. But you've lost, you might reflect on that instead."
He placed his hand on her head, tapped it gently, and walked away.
"Thanks for the assist, Dramia."
While passing next to the other twin, he thanked her.
"What do you mean."
While twirling her finger in the air, she looked away. Orion noticed Dramia using her wind magic to help him land safely after catching both Karteira and Drania.
Everyone looking from the windows were astonished by what had happened. It became one of the most talked topic among the maids of the castle.
Olivia was biting her lower lip in excitation after seeing the care Orion showed to those he was close with. She was slightly jealous too, because she only came to know him recently, while Amelia and Karteira knew him for quite some time now.
But if there was one truth, it would be the speed at which those attracted to him reacted. In the span of a few months, a fair amount of ladies were trying to catch his attention, but missed the opportunities to.
This is what they hadn't compared to Amelia and Karteira. Time to spend with him.
...
In Henrietta's room.
"That sure was something. He already can draw his factions' traits out, and even choose to use one of the two."
Tetra said after watching Orion walk away.
"Amelia, I just remembered something."
"What is it, mom?"
It's not that Henrietta didn't care about Orion's progress, but she had that question suddenly pop in her head, which bothered her a lot. A LOT.
"Why do you girls feel the need to speak the name of your abilities out loud? Isn't that embarrassing at your age?"
Amelia instantly looked away.
"Well... I mean."
"Doesn't it sound cooler like that?"
She said.
"I knew it had no practicality, but that's all? Because it's 'cool'? I don't understand."
Henrietta wasn't admonishing her daughter, she just couldn't understand the point.
"Leave the old lady to her own world, and go see your darling. Before someone get to him before you."
Stepping in front of them both, Tetra pointed at the door.
"..."
Thinking about Olivia getting closer to Orion irked her instantly.
"Thanks, I'll do that!"
Before Tetra blinked, Amelia was already running in the corridors.
"..."
Henrietta looked a little out of it after seeing her daughter run away of the room.
"I don't think you have to worry that much."
Tetra shrugged.
"I'm still her mother. I could have avoided telling her everything."
"It might have been hard on her for a moment, but she is strong. Way stronger than both of us believed at first. Yet, if not for him, she would have no reason to live right now. She probably doesn't care much as long as she can spend even a little more time with him."
*sigh*
A sigh, followed by a smile that showed that she had given up.
"You might be right. I should relax a bit. I think I haven't... fully rested... since a long... time ago..."
Slowly, the world darkened for Henrietta, as she felt incredibly tired. The problems she shouldered alone were finally lifted, and a small ray of hope appeared in front of her now that the timeline changed drastically.
"Sleep well, dear friend. You need it."
"Thanks..."
Tetra sat next to her and looked out of the window.
'How much time do we have? Miasma might move at any moment. We need to rest and prepare.'
