After that incident, things became clear for Orion.
He was losing his grip on the void element's control. Once again, he found himself in front of Tiohr-nam, this time, followed by Amelia, Karteira, and a worried Senia.
"I could see everything from here. I am sorry I could not be of help."
With a relatively guilty expression, the tree apologized.
"What happened was unpredictable. None of us were ready for that, and there was but a mere minute to react."
Orion smiled and looked at Senia.
"Though, someone was able to go out of her way and breach her own limits better than I do just to break my fall."
Amelia and Karteira looked at Senia with a smile, which made the siren a little nervous in return.
"I can see that. I don't know how that happened, but I can sense magic from her. It is... the same amount as that little girl, I think."
With surprise on his face, Orion glanced at Senia without her noticing.
'Did she managed to become a Remnant too?'
The idea crossed his mind, but he immediately scrapped it.
'That's impossible. At least until this is a certainty. I haven't noticed Remnants sigils in her pupils, so this proves it, she currently isn't.'
'So what happened? What made her body change? I thought magical circuits were needed to be able to-'
His mind wandered.
"..."
"What are you thinking about?"
Tiohr-nam noticed it, but Orion shook his head.
"Nothing of importance right now. Let's return to that incident."
All gazes fell on him after he spoke.
"Right. You falling from the sky after being abducted by that oppressing vortex."
Placing his hand on his chin, he looked at the Avatar.
"So it appeared like that to you? I couldn't see it, as it warped me away when I turned around, but I could definitely feel the raw power it released."
"What do you mean?"
Karteira, who usually remained silent, began to be curious. Orion turned around and carefully lifted his hand.
*Fssssssh*
A small dark vortex fitting in the palm of his hand appeared. Even though it was that small, the feeling coming from it was all but bearable.
Everyone gulped, even the Avatar.
Orion shook his hand on the side, erasing the vortex at the same time. All eyes were glued to the mist that deteriorated into nothingness.
*Paah!*
Finally, the air stuck in their lungs escaped, making them realize that they were previously terrified.
"As I thought."
With a frown, Orion turned to Tiohr-nam.
"It evolved, without me being able to notice it. And in a terrifying way at that."
"Yes, that gut wrenching feeling was never felt from you before. But I don't understand, how could this be different to your usual way of using void magic?"
Amelia approached and grabbed his hand. She managed to notice in that short moment a bit of nervousness on his face.
They exchange a quick smile, before Orion answered her.
"This is probably what came out of that lesson with Tetra."
"What have she done to you?"
With a frown more pronounced than him, the Avatar asked while leaning forward. The wood cracked slightly under her movement.

"I asked her to help me improve my understanding on the void element. This is probably where I had it wrong."
"Asking her was wrong?"
Tilting her head in confusion, Amelia asked.
"No."
Orion shook his head, then continued.
"About 'Space'. About what the void element is."
"It's not only space that I can create and control. Remember what we were doing when we began living in here."
He looked at Karteira, then Amelia. They both pictured the very beginning, when Orion created Horizon for the first time.
"!"
Both suddenly remembered. It had been a while since he talked about it, but he surely was able to do more. They looked at each other and nodded before looking at Orion.
"You could change flow of time in Horizon."
"Exactly."
Tiohr-nam nodded. She also remembered him talking about it when he returned in the fairy realm a second time.
Senia was rather shocked to learn so many things, but if it concerned Orion, she could believe it.
"But now I can't. Why? That's something I still don't understand, other than it being related to the elemental altar and the prism."
Feeling his hand grip hers, Amelia stared at the side of his face. He had a very strange expression.
"If an evolved 'Space' was to be mixed with an evolved 'Time'... This might be dangerous. I need to control this 'Space', my power over it, before they can merge back to being true 'Void'."
A bead of sweat dripped from his jaw, unto the dirt.
"So this vortex was the true form of that element?"
Tiohr-nam asked carefully.
"I believe so. I told you that something had happened before being forcefully warped away."
"I remember. What of it?"
Orion nodded.
"The three elements I possess, they seem to have... fused with me."
The Avatar's only reaction was silence.
"..."
As her mouth opened wide, everyone could see the perplexed expression painting her face.
"They... fused, you said. With you?"
"There's no mistaking that, I'm afraid. Do you remember what I've said right after that? Where I wanted to go next after our talk?"
She nodded.
"To the sea. That was your next stop. Wait, where did you warp?!"
"Above the sea."
"So it was an involuntary warp? Based on your thoughts and not an activation?!"
Orion remained silent.
"You might be right, this is dangerous. For you at least."
The three women behind him looked at them with puzzled expressions. Orion turned around and explained.
"Let's go for a little riddle. I'll explain briefly if you couldn't understand well."
"Thanks to Tetra, the void element evolved partially. Because of it, I now possess a power that can warp me anywhere I think of, without my acknowledgement."
The three nodded, so he continued.
"Then comes the part that isn't evolved. If the void element controls 'Space' and 'Time', then what would happen to that forceful warp if both mixed?"
There came the question.
'She noticed.'
Orion looked at Amelia, who was the first to get it. She looked away while biting her lips. Next was Karteira, who kept her piercing gaze on him until the end.
"I-I'm sorry. I don't get it. I already have a hard time understanding what is happening."
The two other women suddenly turned their face to Senia, remembering that until now, she was the most normal girl around if you ignored the fact that she was a siren.
"That is fine. I will explain it to you then."
"With that instant warp over long distance, which I was incapable of doing before, if you add to it an incontrollable 'Time' variable, I should in theory be able to either go back in time, or be warped in the future."
"Eh?! Isn't that..."
"It is extremely dangerous. The rules of space and time are very straightforward. You have to pay a price rather steep if you break them."
Senia fell in deep thoughts, before looking at him with a serious face.
"Then, from breaching that 'Space' earlier, you paid the price by being forced to fall in the sea? Is that what you mean?"
Satisfied by her understanding of the situation, Orion nodded.
"I am unable to use my warping abilities afterward. Which means that-"
She cut him up before he could finish.
"I'll catch you then! Every time it will happen, I will be there to stop your fall!"
Clenching her fists near her chest and slamming her fish tail on the dirt, she made her determination clear.
"Good for you, isn't it? You've got someone else to look after you now."
Karteira said with a smile.
"We can't catch him anyways, Karteira. This might be the only way."
"..."
Orion smiled and looked at Tiohr-nam.
"Do I tell them, or do you tell them?"
The three ladies looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"What?"
Amelia said.
"I'll do it since it looks fun."
With a small smile on her face, Tiohr-nam nodded.
"Ladies, haven't you noticed something earlier? At the beginning of our conversation?"
"No? What, did we miss something important?"
They all had their eyes glued on her. While they were focused on Tiohr-nam, Orion released the vortex once again, stopping everyone's breathe in the process.
Their gaze slowly fell on the vortex, before they all gasped.
"So?"
The vortex disappeared again.
"YOU CAN CONTROL IT?!"
The three women couldn't help but scream in shock.
"Nice reaction."
Applauding, Orion laughed wholeheartedly.
"Of course I am able to control it. In fact, I learned while falling toward the water. This is no different than a portal in reality, it just requires a little concentration to keep it under control."
"The moment I learned that the warp sent me to the location I wanted to go to, everything became clear."
A Remnant like Tiohr-nam did not miss his little demonstration earlier. That was why she gulped. She knew this man's learning speed was terrifying.
"I am glad to learn that you would catch my fall anytime, Senia. I'll be counting on you from now on."
With a sweet smile, he caught the siren by surprise. Her tail, which was slightly rosy at the end, wiggled cutely from it.
"GAAH! We've been had! I can't believe it!"
Karteira dropped to her knees in defeat and grabbed her head.
"I had forgotten, but sometimes, you can be very childish. I can't believe you got me too."
While placing her hand on her forehead, Amelia shook her head.
"I told you, I won't let anything be a risk to the ones I love. That also means myself."
His promise not to throw his life away echoed in their head.
"Right."
Then, Orion turned around, and whispered softly.
"Yes. It also means myself."
A piercing glare on his face, he looked in the distance. Only Tiohr-nam noticed his expression, though, she remained silent.
There was a very important detail that Orion wasn't ready to speak about.
