Chapter 236: Olivia Lakis, Lord of Noctelagia.

Chapter 236: Olivia Lakis, Lord of Noctelagia.

While Orion's friends were on the way to Noctelagia, Olivia was dealing with the aftermath of the battle between Orion and Elliott.

She was ordering her maids left and right to bring medical tools, towels, buckets of water, anything that could be used to help the unconscious Orion.

After bringing them inside the castle, she led everyone to a big empty room with a bed and a desk. The window showed the Carmel Sea when looked through.

Orion had been carefully placed on the bed by Olivia herself, while Amelia and Karteira sat at his sides after the maids brought chairs to sit on.

With his back on the wall next to the door, Elliott stood rather relaxed with his arms crossed.

"Why are you still here? Are you here to mock him?"

Amelia glared at him with nothing but hate in her eyes.

"Of course not. But don't mind me, I'll be waiting until everything is ready for me to reveal everything."

He closed his eyes, and removed himself from the conversation. Since he had just come out of the seal, there was a lot of catch up to do with his own body and mind.

"At least Orion isn't dead."

Karteira touched his hand and gently grabbed it. To her surprise, it was still hot.

Orion's situation was bleak to say the least. His chest had a gaping wound, his back was no better, burning marks on his arms and legs, cuts and bruises, nothing pretty to see.

His appearance was still the awakened faction traits half-angel half-demon.

But he had fallen into a deep coma, where his future remained uncertain.

"What do we do now? Without him, we can't return to Horizon."

Worrying about little Stella, Amelia looked lost. She knew that Stella would be devastated to learn that they wouldn't return.

Her and Sirius also had to be fed. This situation wasn't good for anyone.

"I'm as lost as you."

There was no way Karteira thought differently. She was worried too.

"Though..."

Both glanced at Elliott.

"How did we arrive at this point? Wasn't this very day supposed to be the decisive battle? I can't see a trace of corruption on him "

Elliott was a very confusing problem right now. Less than Orion, but still.

They were mortified to know there was nothing they could do, yet, there was still hope for a recovery.

Orion cheated death one time, he could do it again.

"Let's think about that later."

Amelia looked at the younger woman next to her biting her thumb's fingernail while looking at Orion.

"I will thank you for helping us and sharing this room for him to rest in, but who are you exactly?"

Politely, Amelia talked to Olivia.

"I'm Olivia Lakis. Current Lord of Noctelagia."

Her name traveled Amelia's mind in search of memories, until she remembered.

'The youngest Apostle at the table who was being harassed by the guy Orion killed?"

"The last member of the betraying Apostles."

"!"

Surprised, Olivia took a step back, turned and looked at Elliott.

Taking a moment to observe the young girl, Amelia fell in deep thoughts.

Olivia was a very slim and pretty person. Just as she hoped in the past, the woman was clearly younger than her.

She was actually nineteen, four years younger than Amelia. She was taller than the sisters, but tinier than her.

Her slender body revealed that she wasn't one to eat a lot, while her chest area remained rather lacking compared to even Karteira, who wasn't big either, but still.

Olivia had brown hair stopping at her shoulder blades, her front bangs hiding her left eye partially. She wore a large white ribbon that perfectly remained still even as she moved around, wrapped around the back of her head.

Her brown eyes showed fear at the moment, as she gazeeld toward Elliott, but relaxed when she noticed that he wouldn't move.

For a clothes, it was very simple, yet original. She was a fine lady, and she loved cute dresses. But what she loved the most was to wear maid outfits.

Of course, it would be troublesome if she was to wear what her own maids wore during their shifts, so she remodeled it so that it look more 'dignified'.

Cute white ribbons on the sides, broidered frills around the edges, and a cape sewed to her shoulders because she found out that Orion at the time of the Ceremony hidden behind a mantle was just cool.

That cape was but an adornment though, as it was short and unpractical. It was just a design she liked.

Well, she didn't had time to change this time, as she would have put on a more appropriate outfit for the occasion, but it was too late right now, and she was also past that thought altogether.

"What would Orion do in this situation?"

Thinking about what he did until now, Amelia felt great pressure. The man managed to rally the three Apostles that were on his side together, because he saw the truth behind their words, and the work they placed toward peace.

But what about this girl? The girl named Olivia Lakis?

There was not even time for introductions currently, but she had to trust in her feelings for Orion, and her memories, to make it past this hurdle.

Orion's future was in her's, and Karteira's hands.

Olivia turned to Amelia after confirming that Elliott was in fact ignoring everything around him, and smiled with a relieved expression.

"If you're telling me that, it means that you've successfully made contact with everyone?"

With a nod Amelia simplified their story.

"We don't have the time to idly chat, but yes. We've saved Kamala, helped Florian, and protected the border with Eric."

"And I am the last one. Well of course, I learned from Florian that you would probably move along the east coast if you were to exit the Dead White forest, and Kamala's letter confirmed it later. Thank you for saving them."

With a light bow, Olivia bent toward Amelia and Karteira.

"We haven't done much, Orion was the one that decided to spare them."

Karteira, sitting at Orion's side, continued to stare worriedly at him, though, she had decided to focus her attention on the conversation.

"Nonetheless, my friends are all alive and well. This is not something I was expecting after what happened at the Ceremony."

Unknown to everyone, Elliott opened one eye briefly and looked at Olivia, before closing it again.

"Anyways, feel free to use this room. I'll also do whatever I can to help that man recover."

Her words sounded rather strange to the girls.

"Can I ask why? What is in for you by doing that? You barely know us, right?"

Amelia wasn't wrong, Olivia was oblivious to her and Karteira's existence until a few minutes ago, so what could she understand or bring to the situation?

"..."

But Olivia simply stared at her, silent. Only when she walked away did she spoke again.

"That's not something I can tell you, sadly. Not now at least."

She opened the door, and left the room.

"That's strange. What was that reaction?"

Karteira was confused.

"I don't know either, but let's keep an eye on her too for now."

Once Olivia left the room, the girls went to clean Orion's wound, cool the burn marks, and clean the filth of his body.

They carefully and very gently cleaned his wings, before they cleaned the blood that had dried up on his cheeks.

After a few hours, they were done. Orion showed no signs of waking up, and worse, his breathing was lowering at a rather high pace.

They were completely lost as to what they should be doing to help him. The wounds showed no signs of closing, yet there was no more blood leaking from it.

How could he still live with his chest pierced from back to front? How could his heart pump the blood necessary for him to survive?

This new form was the answer, but they couldn't know that.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAATH"

An orange hue began to cover the sky, when a lud roar echoed near Noctelagia.

All citizens began to panic, and hid in their houses. In no time, everyone vanished from the streets.

They knew. They heard this roar in the past. The roar of the Azur Dragon, that instilled a deep fear into their body and mind.

As they implored the world for their life to be spared, two dragons flapped their wings as they dropped to the ground.

Between the Azur Dragon's hands, many people patiently waited for their release.

One of them, a green haired small woman with wings observed her surroundings, searching for that peculiar magic she had gotten used to.

"I can't feel anything."

Dramia searched, searched, and searched, but she was unable to find Orion's location. So instead, she searched for Amelia.

The moment the bubble popped, Dramia vanished, leaving everyone, even her own sister behind.

But that was something they planned previously.

-

"Orion is s-strong."

Stella grabbed Dramia's hands, who was crouched, defeated.

"..."

Peaking slightly at the little girl, Dramia remembered the moments she and her sister Drania lived through thanks to Orion.

His arrival in the fairy realm, the sacrifice he did to save Tiohr-nam and his horrendous need to blow up the realm.

The day he tried to destroy the place by creating a new element. The massage that tortures women.

Albriar's battle, and lastly, all those memories inside Horizon.

'Orion is not that weak. He can't have died that easily.'

She stood up while holding Stella's hand, and spoke.

"Who cares, it's Orion we're talking about. If he dies, what was the point in all of his actions?"

"Sis?"

Dramia spoke with determination. She had accepted the little girl's words, and kept a sliver of hope in her heart.

Drania looked into her twin sister's eyes, and clenched her fists.

"You really believe in him? Aren't we simply repeating the past?"

But Dramia shook her head.

"Not this time. We won't have a second incident."

The others behind them quietly listened, while also changing their mind.

'Why am I moping around like that?'

'Orion is a strong person. He won't let a defeat break him.'

'We have to see him. We have to support him.'

With these strong feelings building in their heart, Monolavir roared as they arrived in Noctelagia from the air.

-

Dramia flew toward a window of the castle and looked inside. She immediately noticed the people she was looking for.

The window opened, and she entered without a care.

On the bed, Orion was laying, unconscious. She felt his whole magic being alted, which was a sign of near death state.

She knew it all too well, as she and Drania remained in that same state for a long time.

She thanked the world for leaving Karteira alive the moment she saw her next to the bed.

Biting her lower lip so hard it began to bleed, she glared at the man resting on the entrance wall.

"I can't believe someone like you is here."

She had no memories of ever meeting, seeing, or knowing Elliott, but from the magic enveloping him, she knew instantly that it was Orion's nemesis.

Yet, he still ignored her.

Monolavir and Ruminona's giant heads appeared near the window Dramia entered from. They noticed Orion's state, while also confirming that Amelia was safe.

Before long, the whole group, followed by Olivia who was surprised to see her friends at her place, arrived in the room, crowding it in an instant.

The women gasped in horror, while the men gritted their teeth.

They knew deep inside that it was going to be like this, but they hoped. They hoped that at least, he would still be alive, and he was.

They all felt relief.

"All the actors are in place. It's time."

Elliott uncrossed his arms and pushed his body of the wall.

He walked past the group of people, and stopped in front of Orion's bed.

"You are... Lord Elliott. So you truly have returned."

Florian stared with bewilderment at the man he saw a few times in the past, sealed inside a crystal.

Everyone froze on the spot.

'We're dead, it was a trap.'

They all thought they would be killed by him, yet, they weren't ready for the truth.

"You... The blonde woman. Sorry, but I don't know your name."

"..."

Amelia glared at Elliott while possessively protecting Orion in case something was to happen. She knew she would die too, but she was prepared.

"Give him the bracelet."

"How do you..."

Her right hand moved toward the right pocket of her jeans. She moved her hand in, and brought out a silver bracelet with the name 'Orion' on it.

"Give back to him. You can simply place it in his hand."

Carefully, Amelia did just that, still glancing at the man while doing it.

"Gh-Aa!"

Orion finally reacted. His body began to emit magic again, but his soul remained damaged.

"What is the meaning of this? How do you know about his bracelet?"

Karteira glared at him too. Everyone in the room were focused on Orion, who returned to sleep after being given his bracelet back.

"Until his consciousness return, I'll explain a little more."
