Organ Failure

Species: Organ Failure

Family: Parasite

Risk level: Low

Weaknesses: Removal from its source of sustanance

Description: This is a nasty case of a parasite that feeds directly on organs of the organism an not the substances inside of it. It doesn't slowly drain it of its values, but directly absorbes the flesh from which it is composed of and adding it straight to its own mass. It then, using its new found structure, replaces the organ it consumed and takes over its role in the organism, slowly and meticulously taking more and more substances from the body until the host drops dead. It then exits the body using one of the already existing openings to leave it as intact as possible and goes on to find a new body to infect. In their original forms the look like finger sized earthworms with leechlike mouths and two, small appendages on the sides of its body that look very similar to mole's arms.

Their main way of infecting others is to find someone sleeping and waiting until they are in deep sleep state to enter their bodies and start to parasite on them. They can infect almost every normal living being, which includes humans, house pets and domisticated animals, but are unable to attach themself to any other monster, due to their negligible amounts of corruption they emmit. The best way to kill one is to remove it from the host's body when it unable to transform itself back to its more dextrerous form. This method unfortunately is almost always fatal for the infected, but no matter if it is removed now or it exits the host on its own it is still impossible to save the victim.

Personal notes: "I didn't even feel a thing after it took a literal part of myself. I wouldn't even know that it was slowly killing me if not for a traveling mage that decided on a whim to diagnose everyone in the village. Thank God that aunt Becky gave him that piece of pie, otherwise I would not be talking to you. Fortunately, it only took with it one of my kindeys and not something more important like heart."
