Synopsis

This bestiary is written in hopes that no one will ever die in the hands of monstrosities that lurk in the shadows. After my sons death I decided to research every single beast that ever walked on this land to prevent this kind of accidents. In my quest I met a lot of respectable researchers, alchemists and monster hunters to get their personal experiences and opinions on said monsters that I included in these pages.    After many preparations I also decided to personally go and try to find those monsters to see their daily routine and behaviour. Depending on the time of the day, season or moon cycle it can vary greatly from the usual that can be observed. Even depending on the location the same species of monsters can develop in drastically different directions that would require the monster slayer to change their tactic to minimize the risk of the hunt.    This guide will include the following information: species and family of the monster, their risk level, weaknesses, description and distinctive features, and personal notes.    In my hopes that this book will prevent at least one death I donated the rest of my money to Vault of Knowledge for them to publish it and make it free access for anyone willing to read it. Thanks to this every single one of their establishments will have at least one copy of my bestiary. If in the future a new kind or kinds of monsters will appear they will add a new entry expanding already existing knowledge on them. Unfortunately I won`t be able to see the fruits of my labor grow. Gathering everything in this book took to long. Even after getting corrupted I won`t have enough time to see effects of my work. But I can finally die in peace with myself knowing that at least I didn`t waste my life.    With regards and wishes for a better world, Ulrion the Gatherer. It is my first ever written book. Criticism is much appreciated and I am very sorry about any errors that might still be left inside this book.
