Species: Dealbreaker
Family: Sleep Demon
Risk level: Low
Weaknesses: Refusal to pay before their part is done
Description: A group of weak demons dependent on their victims distress. They always show themself before people in dire need of help, and propose to them to sign a contract with them. In the closure it says that they will help their vicitm with current predicament, in exchange with their memories.
Like their name suggestes, it isn't a fair deal. Their idea of dealing with problem is to let the victim to forget about it completely, consequently being true to the contract. They can be tricked rather easily, because their whole strategy to is to stick to the one that always worked, and when it doesn't, blame the victim and quickly move on to avoid another loses.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
The only way they can be described is that they look like perfect image of imps. A small demon, with red skin, slick, sharp ending tail, long nails and of course hornes on its forehead. They usually show in groups of five to ten, never under tree and above thirteen.
The best way to deal with them is to refuse their help, or if it is really necessary to first tell exacly which memories they can consume, and agree to this only after they do their part. They can also be payed in blood and pure life essence rather than memories.
Personal notes: "They are the perfect example, why you need to pay attention while signing any contracts. One small detail, or note can overturn the deal for worse. Is is also applicable to normal life, like searching for a job, or any kind of sale. It is very hard to write a contract that doesn't inconvince you in any way, and perfectly secures your safety. At least demons can't break their contracts, unlike some of the less upright merchants. Maybe we are the greater evil after all?" Terin, member of the Merchant Society
