Crimson Mosquito

Species: Crimson Mosquito

Family: Insectoid

Risk level: Medium

Weaknesses: Poison

Description: This is a very specific kind of mosquito that due to contamination developed one of its original abilities, namely its venom and changed the original colour of chitin to crimson red. It changed from numbing the target to forcing it to produce abnormal amounts of blood.

The changes can cause popping of veins, accumulating blood under skin, causing it to change colour to red, and of course quick death. Thankfully, this change is reversable, if you manage to inject yourself with small doze of non lethal poison. It will not damage your organs if done correctly, and will eliminate any traces of original poison. After testing the researchers found out that after the poisons mix, both of them become useless.

Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.

They only produce this poison on their mating season, which lasts around one month, but in this amount of time can cause many fatalities, expecially taking in consideration the fact that when they successfully manage to infect someone, they inform every member of its species of it to suck the victim dry.

When it is time of their activity it is advised to avoid going outside at night, tightly lock doors and windows and have in your possession prescripted poison in case above methods fail.

Personal notes: "Its venom works very similar to bacteria or viruses, and not normal venoms. First of all it doesn't disturb parts where it is injected, or doesn't spread to organs, but directly seeks out bone marrow and plants itself there. Then it overrides the original genes and removes all limitations in blood limit. Even then it somehow is still a venom but touched by corruption, which means it can possibly have self- directioned essence manipulation. For now we don't have the means, or time to test it but maybe in the near future we will have enough free hands to deal with it." Garon Haston, Plague Doctor
